Interested to see if this is better than the old S62.

I currently use the Grint (after trying over 10 apps) and even Arcos for a while (too expensive to justify). Would love to see how the watch compares to these other modes of tracking.

Have been using Arccos for 1.5 years. Apple Watch battery life is not good and started looking at other options. Garmin seems to be the best alternative to track stats, use for golf and also daily life. I realize I need to start working out if I want to maintain my or increase my distance as I age, finding an all in one solution is very important. This is a great opportunity for a complete lifestyle watch.

i had one of the first garmin gps watches back in the day when i was training for a half marathon. it was a great piece of tech. most recently i’ve used shot scope, but shotscope proves too fiddly for me. if this is like shotscope but requires less manual input from me, i’d definitely like to check it out. i’m about to move to a new area and play a bunch of new courses so, i will definitely put the device through it’s paces. my sleep is pretty bad though, so if the watch can convince me to sleep better, it could definitely make a positive change in my life.

I currently have the Garmin Solar 2 as my everyday watch. Let me tell you, these things are LEGIT. I’ve had several different kinds of watches and this one is the best I’ve ever had. Insane battery life, accurate fitness tracking, and surprisingly accurate distance in golf mode. My current watch only give distance to the front, center, and back of the green, as well as a tee shot distance tracker. If the pin is in a center pin position, it almost always matches my blue tees rangefinder. I would love to see what kind of crazy extra features Garmin’s true smart watch has compared to their outdoorsy watch such as the Solar 2. Either way, Garmin is unmatched in the watch game. Believe me.

I'd love to be a tester for this.  I think you need a female in your test - both to ensure the Approach CT10 sensors work with slow swing speeds and for non-biased health stats since our metabolism is different than males.

I would agree that it won't be worthwhile if you're home course or one you routinely play has that much elevation change.  The numbers just won't make a lot of sense or translate well.

That makes sense! I hadn’t thought about elevation changes with GPS tracking but I could see why that would leave you hesitant! Thanks!

I have an older garmin golf only watch that I like but nothing close to what the S70 offers.  A watch that could be my daily smartwatch, have all the fitness options and work on the course is just so appealing.  I have my fingers crossed for this test but I'll be following this thread intently either way!

The courses around here have so much elevation change that I don't typically get good data from shot measuring devices like Arccos or ShotScope so I've been hesitant here. I'm faced with multiple shots in a round that are 15-30 yards different from their actual measurement because of slope. With that being the case, the average yardages for my clubs are crazy because on flat ground I hit my 7 iron 188-191 but Garmin has my average at 176 currently. Both my 8 iron and 9 iron show a 161 yards for their average. I've done gapping sessions and know my yardages to the yard for each club and I just don't know if having the sensors is going to add value for me personally in my situation.

Love to hear the endorsement! What has kept you from getting the CT10’s? Just curious

As one of the testers for the S70 last year, I can tell you guys this watch is awesome and will be even better with the sensors. I still wear mine daily and always contemplate getting the CT10 sensors. This review will probably be what pushes me over the edge, good luck to everyone who applies!

This is absolutely awesome, been using the Garmin S20 for years and I love it. I would get the instinct, but it doesn't have golf as an option for it's activities. The S70 seems like the go-to for the next upgrade.

Good combination between the ultimate golf experience and one's overall health! Starting to get more active lately due to better weather and wanting to just become healthier in general. Great Opportunity! Good Luck!

Awesome testing opportunity. I have a Garmin r10 and love the app. Would be great to test out the watch and stat trackers. The watch also looks really good for an everyday watch as well. Good luck to all.

I currently use 18birdies as my GPS. Mainly because it is what I run my league and outing through. The opportunity to try something new would be a great chance to test out a potentially superior product. Good luck to all.

Just signed up, I love garmin products. I have one of their cycling computers, the thing is bomb proof and I've crash tested it, twice. Fortunately New Zealand is one of the southern parts of North America, so I'm good to go.

Exciting opportunity. Have been a Garmin fanboy for years. Use the Forerunner 955 Solar now and have interest in the sensors and the enhanced features of the S70 for golf. I cycle 75-100 miles a week and play golf 2-3 times per week and am all in on Garmin. I walk majority of rounds and track it all with Garmin golf. Then input into USGA app.
