  1. @TJ Hall the Raw wedges are sharp looking. I had played the raw & black/nickel previous to the SM8's. There's something about that rust look that was appealing.
  2. Good Friday Morning Spies! Sunny & 62 degrees in Central Florida. Supposed to reach into the mid to high 80's today. Working on 2nd cup of espresso. Ranger duties today and hope to get a few holes in again to test out my T200 irons & SM10 wedges. Played 4 holes yesterday with the new clubs after work & they are sweet, including the SM10 Wedges. The timing of getting the wedges also made for a great Forum Call yesterday. Hearing how much R&D Titleist put into developing their wedges, was interesting. How Scientific they were in arriving at the black color for the wedges ! Sorry to hear about your car @sirchunksalot! Hope your warranty covers the damage & repairs! Have a Great Day Everyone! Hit'em Straight!
  3. I played SM5's for about 4+ yrs, replacing them with SM8's, which I bought new in a closeout. After going through a Titleist fitting, I found I was playing the incorrect grinds, which is the only reason I'm replacing the SM8's with SM10's. Now I'm really stoked because the SM10's came in the black finish vs the chrome finish of the SM8.
  4. What a Great Call. Really interesting to learn what goes into the making of Vokey Wedges, including the passion of Bob Vokey. Aaron was great! Thank you!
  5. Good Thursday Morning Spies! 59 degrees and Clear Central Florida morning. Working cart barn this morning, opening, learning another new aspect of golf course business. May hit the range after work. Sipping on espresso! Have a Great Day Everyone! Hit’em Straight️
  6. Great topic @C_Daddy19! I just got fitted & purchased new Titleist irons, the Titliest fitter blended the Irons: T350 - 5i T200 - 6i thru PW Vokey SM10 Wedges - 48, 54 & 58 degree I just swapped out my 5 wood (19 degrees Callaway Black rzor X) with a new 19-degree Titleist TR2 Hybrid with Tensei 65 S shaft and I've been playing a 4 hybrid - 22 degree with a UST Mamiya Recoil Dart 75 S shaft, ditching the 4 iron. Love the 4 hybrid! With getting the new irons, I've been tweaking the settings of the hybrids/woods and contemplating ditching the 3 wood for a 4 wood. 16 degrees easier to hit than a 15 or 14.5, especially off the deck. The 19-degree Titleist hybrid is set at 18.25 degrees /.75-degree upright - the upright setting is how my irons were fitted (2 degree upright & 1 degree for the SM10's), so I thought I'd try the upright setting with the hybrid. 21-degree Callaway Apex is adjusted to 22-degree standard (from draw bias) The changes are based off the new T350 5i, which will have a 23-degree loft. While the 19-degree TR2 is new in my bag (about 2wks old), I hit the club very well. Which prompted the idea to ditch my Callaway Maverick 3w - 15 degree. I'm convinced the 65-gram, stiff, Tensei Blue shaft is amazing! Good conversation to see how other golfers set their bags up and the club thought!
  7. I drive by an old par 3 hole, almost every day and think about how the hole could be redone (improved). But I haven't thought about putting the thought on paper. I like what you did.
  8. Good Wednesday Morning Spies! No golf today, Last night 1am airport run to pick up niece up duty, couldn't get to sleep until 3am, too old to wake up for the 7am tee time . @CSiders12 very sorry for your family's loss! Thoughts & Prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time! Working from home today, pouring 2nd cup of much-needed espresso. Was looking to play a lot of golf while wife was away, but it's not happening, that's ok though, waiting for new irons & wedges to arrive. @ejgaudette great job on the drawing! Your drawing is inspiring! Have a Great Day Everyone! Hit'em straight
  9. Congratulations Testers! Looking forward to finding out if you all find a difference in a specialty driver shaft vs the stock shafts. Have fun with the testing & Good Luck!!
  10. Hmm, interesting @Big moose, my wife is currently in Aruba. She told me she was going with her sisters??
  11. Good Tuesday Morning Spies! Holy Cow a chilly Central Florida Morning to start, 54 degrees! Going to Walk 9 holes this frigid morning Espresso brewing! Have a Great Day Everyone! Hit’em straight ️
  12. @rkj427 congrats on your upcoming retirement from your full-time career. With golf as a passion, I consider my Ranger job my dream job. Aside from not having the ability to own a golf course, this job is great! The first thing my friends think about is free golf and certainly, that is a great benefit, believe it or not, not the primary reason for doing the job. I love the job and looking for a "job" not a career, to transition to. This "job" is providing me a pathway/segue to retirement from my career job. It's not an easy decision to "retire", as you may know. You stated a couple of frustrating issues with the current workforce in the automotive industry. Well, it's the same frustrations in the insurance industry, making my departure easier to handle. I'll say this, there are some challenges & more often rewards in being a golf course Ranger. Meeting people & interacting with the Members has been fun. It's amazing what you learn being on that side of the golfing industry vs just playing golf as a consumer. What's also interesting is learning the golf course business from working as a Ranger or in the cart barn & interacting & watching how the maintenance of a golf course is conducted. Rick, if you enjoy golf & like being outside, I'd recommend trying out being a Ranger. Good Luck with whatever decision you make and Congratulations on your upcoming Retirement! All the Best!

    Excellent reply @EasyPutter!! Well Stated!
  14. Good Monday Morning Spies! 65 & cloudy Central Florida Morning. No golf today. Busy weekend, the weather was warm, which made for a busy golf course & Ranger duties. Airport duties last night, so running on 4 hrs of sleep. Finishing up first cup of espresso and looking forward to the second, then taking my car into shop, parts finally arrived! What a golf weekend! Nelly Korda wins 5 tournaments in a row including a Major. Scottie Scheffler just won 2 in a row winning RBC Harbor Town, 3 out of the last 4, including a Major. Great golf is being played! Feel better @Josh Parker!! Have a Great Weekend Everyone! Hit'em straight!
  15. Good Friday Morning Spies! Nice Central Florida morning, 65 degrees. It is supposed to reach a high of 92 degrees and sunny today. Finishing first cup of espresso. No golf today, Ranger duties today. Should be busy given the good weather today! Good Community Call yesterday, thanks again Jamie! Have a Great Day Everyone! Hit’em Straight️
  16. Good Morning Spies, I've tried posting two other times this morning from my phone & showed it "submitted" however, nothing appears. Hmm wonder where it posted? LOL, maybe to another Forum Had a 7am tee time and walked 18 holes. Beautiful Central Florida morning, 66 degrees, a bit of a cloud cover which made the morning walk comfortable. I did not play too well, just a lot of distractions this morning. Trying to upload a photo but getting a couple of error messages. Started working from home this afternoon, on my 4th cup of espresso of the day. I think maybe I should go back to bed and get up in time for the Community Call? Happy Birthday @GolfSpy SAM ! Have a Great Day Everyone!! Hit'em Straight! Here is the photo looking down the 10th Fairway this morning at 6:50am:
  17. Great questions @GolfSpy_APH! IMO #2 is a toss-up between Rory, Xander, Aberg & Wyndham Clark. If Aberg continues his consistent play, he could become a solid #2. breaking out of the pack. Rory seems to be struggling right now with his swing change. Something appears to be off. Xander quietly appears in Top 5, but just can't win. Aberg has been really good & could be on the verge of being a Superstar & surpassing Scheffler as #1. Scottie is quite impressive this season. His iron play is fantastic! The LPGA players are having to deal with their Scottie in Nelly Korda!
  18. T200 PW - used generally for full swings 118 to 129 yds Callaway 48 degree 10/S - Jaws Raw - Full, chip (30 to 40yds) & pitch shots. Full swings 100 to 118 yds Vokey SM9 54/ 12D wedge - 85 to 100 yds - full, chip (from 20yds to 35 yd chipping) & sand shots Vokey SM9 58/ 08M wedge - 55 to 85 yds - full, chip (max 20yd chips) & sand shots. This club is used most often for sand shots. For fluffy sand shots, I'll use the 54-degree.
  19. Walked 18 holes this morning, I hadn't played since last Thursday. Hit a few balls over the weekend. Worked specifically on a couple of things. In anticipation of new irons, I reset the 3 & 4 Rescue clubs. Setting 3 rescue to 18 degree from 19 degrees & the 4 rescue setting to 21 degrees from 22 degrees. The results weren't bad. Had one 3 rescue off the tee that was a poor drive. Too much movement during swing. The 4 rescue was hit well and long with baby draws. I reached a par 5 in 2. The drive was about 290yds leaving 197 yards to the hole, a bit uphill. I choked down on the 4 rescue & hit a nice shot ending up about 14 feet from hole. (Missed the eagle putt) Specifically worked on takeaway and making sure for the first 7-8 inches my hands stay quiet allowing my shoulders to start the swing along the toe line & making sure the club comes up vs going out too long & too low. Had a couple of memory lapses during the round on tee shots, specifically with the irons. One led to a double bogey, hitting the tee shot OB on a par 3, which is a rarity. Honestly, it was a poor setup, which led to a poor swing causing me slide instead of turning and get ahead of the shot. However, it did wake me up for the rest of the round. Playing again tomorrow at 7am, will be working on the same things, especially patience & tempo.
  20. Welcome @Jazzdrummer420!! You'll or (Y'all for @sirchunksalot ) will find a Great group at MGS!
  21. They can go to LIVLXXII @RickyBobby_PR
  22. Congrats Testers @cnosil @Shlax @Samuel09152 @arodrig29! Great opportunity & thanks to Ghost Golf for supporting MGS!! Looking forward to your reviews!
  23. Good Day Spies! Late Tuesday post, worked opening shift at golf course this morning - 6am, cart barn duties. That was fun! Covering for vacation, plus have to pay for the new irons coming in . Beautiful Central Florida morning & afternoon, sadly No golf today, but planning on walking 18 holes at 7am tomorrow. But have this nagging feeling I have something to do Wednesday morning other than golf. Congrats to all the Lab Putter testers!! Really looking forward to that testing. Something about the LAB putters just convinced yet. Have a Great Day Everyone! Hit'em straight!
  24. Good post @chisag! Thanks for sharing. Thought it odd, the report of him leaving for LIV would occur this week. But he's in the RBC Heritage field. Would not put it beyond Norman & Co for being the "Leakers", to create constant turmoil.
