  10. @David Leighton Reid I'm afraid I would have had a heart attack had I stepped on that Snake: Holy crap!!
  11. @Josh Parker very good topic & great comments by all! I like @Tom the Golf Nut commentary, especially the thinking too much can cause you to get mechanical. That was & at times still is my issue. It's easy to bang balls at the range over and over & get a false positive routine going. False, because that is not how we can hit balls on the course. I made a change a couple of years ago in how I practice, after reading "Every Shot Must Have a Purpose". Instead of say hitting 10 balls in a row per club, I'll hit one or two and switch clubs. I'll pick targets, but the targets are not a big oak or palm "tree" in the background. The target will be even more focused & narrowed, it might be a twig or chute on top of the oak or Palm tree in the distance. One trigger I take to the course, which I work on at the range, "relax my forearms". I say it to myself as a pre-shot routine before I get into what I call my playbox. It's so much of a habit, I can feel when I forget. Just this past week, my go-to club is 22 degree rescue. I hit it well on the range, first shot with it on the course, didn't hit it well, ball went right on a line drive. Realizing what Tom stated, I got mechanical. I set up trying to hit the perfect shot, forgot to keep the forearms relaxed & thought too much. 4 holes later on Par 3, 195 into the wind with water on the left, I hit the ball to the center of the green with the 22 degree. The ball flight was like I was on the range. There was a limited thought process, forearms relaxed & I picked a tiny target in the skyline in back of the green - "when it's breezy just swing easy" (Collin Montgomery). That easy (smoother swing) resonated the rest of the round. Which BTW is how I would swing at the range. It's frustrating not being able to bring a good range session to the course. We beat ourselves up, but patience is what we must learn, because we know we can hit the ball well. Heck we just did it on the range !
  12. BobLov Range finder & Pandora (Lou Monte & Louie Prima stations) on iPhone.
  13. Good Monday Morning Spies! A chilly Central Florida morning to start, 53 degrees & windy. The time change it’s still dark at 7am. 7:30am tee time, only have time to walk 9 holes today. Nice win by Scottie Scheffler at Bay Hill yesterday! Conditions were challenging! Have a great day everyone! Stay warm and Hit’em straight️
  14. Good Sunday Morning Spies! A chilly & WINDY Central Florida morning, while it’s 67 degrees & cloudy skies the wind has already picked up! No golf this morning, Ranger duties today. The Boys at Bay Hill are going to have some challenging conditions today! On first thermos of espresso! Tempting fate this morning, posting from phone. Trying to conquer this technology thing once again! Try to remember to hit submit! Have a Great Day Everyone! Stay warm & Hit’em straight! ️️
  15. Good Friday Morning Spies! Nice Central Florida morning, now 71 degrees, a bit cloudy, but nice. For the second day in a row, my attempt to post from my phone didn't work. I'll get this technology thing yet! On second cup of espresso, no golf this morning, Ranger Duties today! @Rob Person the Ranger job gets easier to tell people to pick up the pace! Not that many listen, LOL! Summertime play seems to get a bit more pushback about picking up the pace, especially GolfNow bookings. But it does get easier! Hope to get some range time in this afternoon! Have a Great Day Everyone! Stay warm & Hit'em straight!
  16. Sorry, I missed the call! Had family come over & couldn't get rid of them! Well, they didn't leave till 5:30.
  17. Good Thursday Day Spies, Just when I was getting confident posting in the Good Morning Thread from my phone, somehow this morning's post didn't go through. I'll get this technology thing !! Absolutely a beautiful Central Florida morning this morning - 65 degrees at 7am tee off. Walked 18 holes. Wind was down, skies were blue. I took the shot below from the 1st tee, this morning. There was actually a group of "Seniors" who teed off in front of us. A beautiful morning! Have a Great Day Everyone! Looking forward to today's community call with PING! What a great testing opportunity! MSG hits it out of the park yet again! Stay Dry & Hit'em straight!

  19. Yes, I always tee it up on the tee! Maltby is correct @Steve F
  20. Enjoying reading the memories posted, great topic @TSauer Two golf memories: 2015 LPGA ProAm Rolex Scramble. Teams were 4 Amateurs & 1 Pro. Our Pro was Charlotta Sorenstam. What a day! We amateurs would miss putts, no problem cause Charlotta would drain the putts for either birdies or par savers. Some of the shots we hit, we get to one par 4, about 395yds, we had 95 yds to the hole after our tee shot. We Can't see the green, only the top of flag for the approach shot. All four of us Amateurs hit really good shots on the green & surround pin. Sorenstam (she's the anchor) hits her shot, right over the pin and says if that ball spun, it's in the cup. We drove up to the green and only 4 balls were on the green. She says, check the cup, sure enough, it was in the cup for a 2!! Eagle!! The very next hole is a Par 5, we have two good drives to choose from, 181 yds to the pin, uphill into a little wind. I hit a 6 iron, which never leaves the flag. Two of my golf buddies jump in their cart and race up to the green. As they approach the green one of them jumps out of the cart, running to the green (LOL) holding his putter, we're talking about 50 something guys LOL. My ball is a foot from the hole. We tap it in for back-to-back eagles. We won the ProAm by 1 shot, shooting 17 under as a team. First place, we each received a Scotty Cameron Newport 2 putter & a dozen Pro v1's. Really nice!! What a memory! The second golf memory, was at the Disney Palm Course, on July 4, 1987. 8am tee time. I get done at the range, pull up to the 1st tee & Starter says I'm pairing you with this gentleman, a towering man, who extends his hand to shake and says, "Hi, I'm Julius". I think I said whoa first LOL. It was Julius Erving, Dr. J. The other twosome who were to be paired with us, did not show. Awesome! Julius & I played 27 holes together. Shared stories about growing up on Long Island, NY. He paid for the extra 9 we played & I paid for lunch. It was GREAT! I was not a very good golfer in 1987. I was so nervous on the first tee, with Julius Erving & now a bunch of golfers congregating around the tee box watching Dr. J. But I hit a beautiful drive, down the middle of the fairway and so relieved. I did double the hole though .. I still have the signed scorecard, framed in my home office. Golf, what a great game!
  21. Good Morning Spies! Cloudy but nice morning, 67 degrees. Walking 18 this morning! Here is a picture, from the tee box on #2 at Ventura CC. Have a Great Day Everyone! Stay warm & Hit’em straight ️
