The MyGolfSpy Forum prides itself on bringing new brands and equipment to our member testing platform. Golf is growing and so are the brands entering the golfing industry. It can be difficult to keep track of them all and even harder to discern which brands are actually producing worthwhile equipment for consumers. This is where you come in.

About Vortex

Vortex Optics is an American company that makes high-end scopes, binoculars and rangefinders for hunting and other outdoor sports. In February, Vortex released golf-specific rangefinders.

With world-class optics and an unlimited, unconditional lifetime warranty, their new line of rangefinders has a lot of potential.

Their current lineup of rangefinders consists of three models: Anarch, Blade Slope and Blade. The Blade is the base version and includes a cart magnet and pin-spotter mode. The Blade Slope builds on those features by adding a slope function. The Anarch, their premium model, adds a red display and image stabilization. All models are tournament legal, shockproof and waterproof.

The Testing Opportunity

For this testing opportunity, we are looking for four golfers to test, review and keep a Vortex rangefinder. We will have the full lineup tested and select two golfers for the Anarch and one each for the Blade and Blade Slope.

We want to know how these perform against the best of the best, what they feel like and how accurate they really are. Can a new company really compete with the best rangefinders in golf? Let’s find out!

Do you think you are the perfect tester for this opportunity?

I'd love to try these out. Too bad they don't offer the triangulation feature like the Voice Caddy Laser FIT. I think that's going to prove to be a very useful feature in the future. Not only for shooting distances from the cart, but for determining the width of the fairway, distance between hazards, etc.

I have Vortex scope on my rifle and love it.  It's great to see they are getting in the golf world.  I play 2-3 times a week and can give it a solid true review if I am selected.

Thanks for the opportunity!

I've been a Garmin watch guy for a few years now.  I tried rangefinders first and found them lacking for me.   Technology has matched forward a lot in the 5 or so years since.  I'd love an opportunity to see for myself.

I would love to be  tester for this product.

1. I am an avid golfer and have multiple groups I play with so I can even get additional insights on likes/dislikes - I have experience with a number of other brands of range finders including Bushnell, Leupold, Blue Tees, and others

2. I come from the gun industry and am familiar with vortex optics so I can compare the range finder to their other products in a sense

Good luck to my competitors, my only request if Im not chosen is that those who are leave us quality feedback!

I've used some Vortex scopes on my guns in the past so would definitely love to try out their newest rangefinder line. Appreciate the opportunity!

Good luck to all! I'm very interested in the image stabilization feature of the Anarch. One of the biggest struggles I have when using my Shot Scope range finder is holding it steady while lasering something more than 200 yds away. Constantly ping something other than what I am trying to aim at.

Good community call with them yesterday. Seems like a great product line! Thanks MGA and Vortex for the opportunity.

Thanks for your time! We really enjoyed the call and are excited to get these in testers' hands!

Good luck to all testers, have been playing for around 3 years and don’t have a current rangefinder, hoping to use this for my job as a caddy!

Finally something I can test without worrying about how good I hit the ball!  I get multiple opportunities to use this on every hole! Even when I "lay up" on par threes!

Range finder vs gps watch that is the real question. Dedicated watch user and I love it, never actually played with a range finder before, just used my buddies a couple times out of curiosity for accuracy vs my watch.
