Sub 70 is no stranger to MyGolfSpy Forum testing. We have featured their products in several testing opportunities over the years. For 2024, we have a special product that we are excited to bring to our membership: the Sub 70 Pro V2 Fairway Woods.

About The Pro V2 Fairway Woods

This fairway wood from Sub 70 is their newest wood release and is packed with technology. It features their Dual Face Technology, which has two separate faces filled with a TPE resin in between. The forward face has variable face thickness to help increase ball speeds across the face and increase distance for golfers.

The Pro V2 also features a dual weight system for ball flight, swing weight, and MOI adjustability, as well as a carbon fiber crown. Standard weights feature a 2-gram front weight and a 9-gram rear weight, with extra weight options available.

As there is no adjustable sleeve featured on the Pro V2, it is offered in three lofts from 15 to 21 degrees (or 3-wood to 7-wood).

Sub 70 claims the Pro V2 is the ultimate in power and workability, which is where you come in.

The Testing Opportunity

We are looking for four golfers to test, review, and keep a Sub 70 Pro V2 fairway wood of their choice. Testers will be required to get on course and launch monitor data to compare to their current fairway (or comparable club) and provide feedback to our community.

We want to know how it performs and if their claims of distance and workability are true. Will it be able to knock your current club out of the bag? Let’s find out!

These look amazing and I would love the opportunity to be a tester! I haven't had the pleasure of hitting any of the Sub70 equipment, yet.

The fairway wood is one of the hardest clubs for me to dial in and fall in love with. I have an old Callaway XR Pro 3wood that I really like for the ability to hit it off the tee and out of the fairway. It took a long time for me to find my current gamer and I would love to put it to the test against the Sub70.

Good looking club, as someone who struggles with fairway woods, very curious to try or read results, lately I seem to be the "topper king" theses days and can't seem to get contact with driver or wood/hybrid, have had more luck lately with the long irons....

I've had a mix n match set of fairway woods for as long as I can remember. Cobra, Cleveland, Muzuno, even Bombtech. Would be nice to try a uniform set for a change. They do look sleek yet not overstated.

Already purchased the 3-wood in this ProV2 product & it's LONG my friends. Every bit as long or longer than anything I have played and believe me....there have been many ! Easy from fairway and tee box with shallow face and lower spinning face.

Club is gorgeous & when they release their Driver version in the Fall of 2024....I'll be replacing my precious gamer Mizuno STZ-230 which has been a star for several years now....can't wait.

Also the non-adjustment factor of these woods should be seen as a benefit to the better player who adjusts their swing, not the club when things go south.

Better get one soon as these will be sold out as the year proceeds.....it's happened before !

We had Takomo and now @GolfSub70 is joining the party with a fairway test.

In researching these for this test they look pretty special with a really interesting tech story.

Thank you to @GolfSub70 for all your support and providing yet another member testing opportunity.

I tested their 949X 5 Wood a few years ago and its still in my bag, with a 3 wood and now the TAIII wedges.

I always feel like the last kid in a pick up game that neither team picked when I sign up for these. Or it’s like buying a lotto. I know I won’t win, but I keep doing it anyway. Still hurting over not being picked for Vice Irons.

Ive been right next to the sub70 fitting facility for a while now and have wanted to see what their clubs feel like but always felt like id be wasting their time if I didnt buy anything and just got fitted. Perfect opportunity.

I have a couple of Sub70 wedges in the bag currently. LOVE THEM! Great company, very personable with the hand written notes. I've also had them send me their demo 699 Pro, back in 2021 when I was in the market for irons. Easy to deal with. At some point I was planning on possibly getting fitted for these fairway woods (I fortunately live 45 mins from their HQ in Illinois). Would love to give them a try!

Currently in the market for a 3-wood - I've got about 5 that I'm really be interested in.  Sub 70 isn't on that list and frankly wouldn't have gotten much of a thought, but this looks really clean.  Whether I am picked or not I'll be following the review closely to see how it holds up.

This feels we are living in the golden age of DTC brands. My personal experience of using DTC brands has been awesome. I had the chance to compare two sets of irons (Takomo 101Ts and Srizon ZX5s) - I honestly think Takomo irons are almost, if not as, good as the upper tier brands. Hoping for similar quality from Sub70 as well.

Hope I get to give these a ride. I have been playing the Titleist 980F's for many years and I'm looking to upgrade. Those Sub70's look like what I'm looking for. I'm currently gaming:

Titleist TSR3 - 9° w/Black Hazardous Smoke Shaft

Titleist 980F - 19° w/Fujikura Speeder Shaft

Takomo 101T's - 4 - PW

Cobra MIM Wedges - 52°, 56°, and 60°

Titleist Scotty Cameron 5.5 Phantom X putter
