Hadi05
I'm very new to MGS, but man did I really enjoy this today. So, very true. What golf balls is best for the golfer, is really whatever their comfortable playing/ spending. I do like the simplicity of the difference between a urethane and non-urethane cover and the ideal that ball quality/consistency is a metric we take for granted..... What I was most interested in was the fact that there needs to be a shift in DTC golf equipment, including golf balls. This is very true. Digital business models are disrupting the way consumers search and spend their money. Brick and mortar stores (golf retail), will suffer or worse if they do not embrace the digital trends. There is nothing that replaces getting to actually put that new club (or golf ball) in your hand at a store, but many consumers are hoping on the Amazon shopping experience (buying online). Retailers will have to adjust or be replaced. TBT
I struggle paying $50 for a dozen balls when I still lose 4-5 a round (courses around me have lots of heavy rough and lots of water). I understand what was said about hitting those “handful” of quality shots per round and you want to see the best results from those shots but I also don’t want to add a $50 box of balls to ever other round of golf.Where is the division in a decent ball with a urethane cover for $30 bucks a dozen? I know there are the DTC options like Snell and I’ve played their balls and I like them, but you really need to buy them in bulk and order ahead of time and I struggle with that...I’m more of a let’s play tomorrow then run to the store and buy balls kinda guy.I’ve also seen lots about certain balls being “lopsided” or the core being “off center”, so what’s a good quality mid level ball that I can buy at my local big box store?Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy Quote XR Driver Matrix Ozik 8m3 Black Tie Shaft King F7 3W UST Mamiya Chrome Elements 7F4 Shaft King F7 5W UST Mamiya Chrome Elements 7F4 Shaft King F7 4 Hybrid Graphite Designs Tour AD-HY 95 Shaft PXG 0211 DC 5-PW Mitsubishi MMT 80 Shafts RTX ZIPCORE 50*,54*,58* UST Mamiya Recoil 95 Shafts Metal X Milled #7 with SuperStroke 2.0 grip MTB Twitter: @timldotson Instagram: timldotson Facebook: TimDotson
