  1. #truth a hybrid isn't a wood and shouldn't be played like one. Played with where it is in my stance and now it won't come out of the bag! Sent from my SM-G960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  2. I am just a shade longer off the tee maybe 4 yards at most with my 5W, but off the deck they go just about the same distance. Maybe I'm more comfortable swinging my hybrid?! Sent from my SM-G960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  3. Even though they are similar in distance for me their apex is different and I can shape them differently. It really does come down to the course and how im hitting each of them on the range. Sent from my SM-G960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  4. DITTO! Sent from my SM-G960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  5. What a great fitter! So, was the reason you didn't buy because you have more work to do with your swing, or that the fitter indicated you've got the proper club and shaft? A 50 yard increase on mechanics is well worth the time with the fitter! Sent from my SM-G960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  6. Im a huge fan of the Q-Star Tour and that's what I play now. Sent from my SM-G960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  7. Q-Star Tour yellow for me Sent from my SM-G960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  9. +15 handicap and im located in Henderson, KY I currently play speedblade irons. My 8i distance is between 165 and 170 yards. I do know somebody who has a few of their clubs. They enjoy them and indicated they had top notch customer service and great attention to detail. Thank you for this opportunity. If picked I look forward to giving back to our golf community the same way they've given to me, with "real" reviews! Sent from my SM-G960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  10. Congrats to all the testers and a big thanks to MGS for the opportunity! Sent from my SM-G960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  11. I'm very new to MGS, but man did I really enjoy this today. So, very true. What golf balls is best for the golfer, is really whatever their comfortable playing/ spending. I do like the simplicity of the difference between a urethane and non-urethane cover and the ideal that ball quality/consistency is a metric we take for granted..... What I was most interested in was the fact that there needs to be a shift in DTC golf equipment, including golf balls. This is very true. Digital business models are disrupting the way consumers search and spend their money. Brick and mortar stores (golf retail), will suffer or worse if they do not embrace the digital trends. There is nothing that replaces getting to actually put that new club (or golf ball) in your hand at a store, but many consumers are hoping on the Amazon shopping experience (buying online). Retailers will have to adjust or be replaced.
  12. 125 to 130g is a cinder block! Lol. Im at 70g 1W, 3W, 5W 80g 3h 85g on irons (I've hit a few with 105g and like those too, but haven't been fitted for my irons)
  13. I tend to do better with heavier shafts. Its easier for me to control tempo. I have a swing speed at about 110MPH average with my driver. I can't control the club head as easy with lighter shafts. Believe it or not I feel comfortable swinging harder with the heavier shaft because subconsciously I know I can control my club head better. I guess if I were a pro I'd be focusing on how to dial all that in with a lighter shaft. But there is just something to be said about being a worm burner occasionally. It gives me the chance to laugh and enjoy golf instead of focusing on being perfect. The biggest thing I've learned about shafts is that I know very little about them, and I go into a fitting as a blank slate and let the fitter do his/her magic.
  14. TM Project (a), Srixon soft feel, Wilson duo are three good ones to start with. You can buy the soft feel in many color choices as well to help locate them.
