ole gray
EvnRoll has IMO come up with a solid putter for those who need help with a steady smooth stroke. In the next few weeks I will be putting the ER5V to task. Quite frankly after some practice with it, I'm more than pleasantly surprised! ole gray
I took my midlock putter out for some practice this morning to kick off my review. I had rolled it on my putting mat in the house and it felt pretty darn sweet however you have to get it on real grass to bring it to life. So without putting you folks off any longer let's get this party started! I'm 72 years old and mighty handsome at least my wife says so. Not sure if it was my first or fifth wife that said so..... I've been playing golf since Noah struck the first nail on the Ark. My golfing skill comes and goes. Mostly goes. I'm retired so I have plenty of time to review this puppy and I generally play three times per week. Now let's talk about the specs with this new stick. CNC Milled in Carlsbad, California USA Head Material – 303 stainless steel Color – Silver satin finish with black paint fill Head Weight by Length – 380g @ 41″ Loft Angle – 4 degrees Lie Angle – 71 degrees Stock Grip – Midlock XL Length – Measured from center of leading edge to top of grip Shaft – stepless graphite-fiber shaft with .370” tip and black finish Shafting – Straight shaft mounted into an overfit hosel Toe Hang Spec: Long Slant = 15 degrees of toe hang Now for a little opening video for a thought or two This putter is going straight in the bag for my money games this week. I practiced with it for an hour today and will get another 30 minutes warm up with it in the morning. I'm going to sleep with it tonight and snuggle up real close to get her hawt for tomorrow's round. I'll have stats on the number of putts and such after each round. This is a little scary having only known this little heifer a couple of days. I'm an old country boy so you may need an interpreter now and then to understand some of the stuff flying by your eyes. I'll try to keep it mild but that's no promise.... ole gray
Ok for some stats. Monday I had 33 putts 4 - one putts 12 - 2 putts 1 - 3 putt 1 - 4 putt Note - The 4 putt was from a pin placement that would make uncle Leroy turn over in his grave. I had some poor reads on this particular putt too. I shot 85 Tuesday I had 32 putts 5 - one putts 12 - 2 putts 1 - 3 putt I shot 77 today with a double on 18 . I think I swallowed a sock in my throat.... Playing again tomorrow so let's see if i can bust that 30 mark. Overall not bad for my first two official rounds out with my new stick. ole gray
There was a little tournament going on today so no chance to keep total putts stat. We had to jump around three groups to finish our round however I will stay I am rolling the rock much better than I could have hoped for at this stage. I honestly no longer fear the dreaded three jack. ole gray
Played today and had the best putting round I have had in years ! Front - 15 putts Back - 12 putts Total = 27 ! I had a boat load of one putts however some of them came from putting off the fringe or fairway.. I only counted the putts that were actually stroked on the green for my 27. Sometimes you just know when a piece of golf equipment is right up your wheel house and this putter is the BEST feeling putter I have ever had the pleasure of bagging. It puts a mind blowing smooth roll on the ball and I have lost my fear of the ball running past the hole. I have confidence that those four and five footers coming back will go down. I have probably had 75 + putters over the years. The mid-lock style along with the design and smooth feel of this putter beats them all. Hands down.... cnosil 1 Quote Ping G430 Max Driver 10.5 Degree Titleist TSR1 4, 5, & 6 Hybrids Titleist T350 Irons 7 - W48 Cleveland CBX ZipCore 52 56 & 60 Degree Wedges LAB Mezz Max Broomstick Putter / TPT Shaft (Platinum @ 45/78)
