  1. Endcaps are just 1/4" vacuum caps from Amazon. Nice tight fit over the 5/16" dowel. To taper the tips I just did a few circular-ish passes with an orbital sander to make it easier to slide the cap on. Not really tapered, just somewhat rounded off. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0781LNZKF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also if you're curious....I did two coats of stain, and then the paint sprayed one color a day with 24hr drying time and re-taping before next color. And then three coats spray gloss polyurethane. It was a week-long process and kind of tedious but I was really happy with the end result, especially for my ~$20 investment.
  2. Got tired of my driveway markers...made some of my own sticks. Hardwood, stain, spray, and polyurethane. One is a classic helmet color and stripe pattern for the University of Illinois, the other is a St Louis Cardinals sock. I get way more comments on the sticks than any club lol.
  3. Dang where'd you dig up those Axivcores?! Used the love the green in my 3W!!! Always thought of it as 95% of a Whiteboard for 35% of the money. I did the same thing as you re: D/3W flex, and I'm actually hitting those clubs further now (better contact/more relaxed tempo?) Go figure.
  4. Nice. I'm gonna be really hard pressed not to turn another round of stimulus check into some 921 tours.
  5. What don't you like about the flight on your modus? I would think you'd be right in the middle for S flex but it depends of course on other factors. If you want to be 90-100ish grams I'd peep a Tensei or an MMT too.
  6. I make them from 5/16" hardwood, anything from amazon no-name sticks to custom hickory or walnut dowels, if that's your flavor. Stained, painted, and sealed with polyurethane. The two in my bag are supposed to be a St Louis Cadinals sock and a University of Illinois football helmet. I've done some for myself and some friends....thinking about setting up shop on Etsy or something.
  7. Before you get further- - Yes I'm a tinkerer - Yes I'm a Mitsubishi fanboy - Yes that's a lot of lead tape! - Yes I make custom alignment sticks! - Hope you enjoy. It's been fun building this bag. I've built everything but the putter! Driver Shaft 3w shaft 2H shaft Irons (weighted up to about D5 with tape) Iron Shafts Build your own wedges! Love these Finally unseated my trusty 2010 Odyssey black. In love with this Evnroll Z grip cord midsized for everything but putter Snell MTBX is the best ball I've ever played
  8. -Good golf shots? Helps -Shot tracers? Yep -Lessons/tips? Meh -Course Vlogs? Fun -Humor? Meh -Personalities? Meh -Reviews? If they're good For me though...my number one is technical details. Can't get enough tech.
  9. Depending on flex and weight, new ahinas can be good uncut for <$75. New comparison, I would go for a Diamana DF.
  10. Buy several 7 or 8 iron shafts, and either swap them in a commonly-hit iron head between rounds, or buy a few test heads (like a Maltby or something) that are identical, build a few 8 irons, and hit the range. Now you know which one you like. Sure it's an expensive-ish method, but when you're done, you already have one shaft for your set, and you've gotten to hit in the real world as opposed to off a mat indoors
  11. Yes, all the time, for probably about 50% new value if a current shaft, a little higher if it's in demand, and much less if it's an older shaft that's not a unicorn
  12. I reuse them, with a new ferrule if one gets melty
  13. All prices shipped and firm, unless you are wanting multiple items. KBS $ Taper 130X pulls. 7i hit ten times off grass. Other shafts never hit. I received these shafts directly from KBS, tips are guaranteed straight. 5i shaft is 36.5" with grip. Golf Pride Z-cord midsizes are brand new. $old. MP62 heads, 3-P. In great shape. $200 Random assortment of older driver/3W shafts. $50/ea, $75 for 2, $100 for 3, $125 for all 4. I have a couple PXG and TM adapters I can throw in. Fuji Motore F1 75X, untipped, played 45" in PXG Mitsubishi Ahina 70X, tipped 2", was a beast in a 3W. Would still rock it but I've lost some clubhead speed in the last 10 years. Aldila NV 2KXV Blue, 70S, untipped, played 44.5 in PXG. One range session, ballflight wasn't for me. I no longer have the Motore Speeder in pics, sorry! R9 Superdeep TP 10.5 head. Still a bomber. Unforgiving. They don't make them like this anymore. Pretty decent shape, original HC included, no tool, no extra weights. Pretty decent condition, some marks on face and an alignment stick up the sock mark on crown. $old
