  1. Happy Birthday @DiscipleofPenick, @ncwoz, and @bvee85 Hope your day is the best it possibly can be.
  2. @tony@CIC you may want to give that a try, as it should be a less expensive attempt to replicate the success you seem to have with your 3 wood shaft. The EI profiles of the Speeder NX and Project X appear to be different, with the Project X having a "softer" mid-section profile than the Speeder NX shaft. You can look at the Fujikura site to get basic information on the Speeder NX, and I subscribe to Russ Ryden's shaft site where he had detailed information on the Project X shaft, but none on the Speeder NX models. Project X Information below:
  3. Welcome to the MGS forum from another in your area. Be sure to look around the forum and check out the various topics and threads, and maybe create a WITB (What's In The Bag) so other members can learn and interact with you. This is a great group of friendly people with a common interest in golf here.
  4. The MGS forum community has provided relevant and unbiased information on various products through the testing review topics. Also, the forum community has provided an opportunity for all to create some "internet" friendships, which also have the opportunity to come to real life fruition during the Spy meetups. The MGS home page area provides data-based information, and some testing results from a wide variety of skill ranges and ability golfers, so one can make a realistic decision about any product they may have interest in. And lastly, the interaction in the threads between the members to provide help, suggestions or assistance to those looking for specific issue resolution without any snide or critical remarks is invaluable.
  5. Good morning Spies on a cold and snowy Saturday here in Michigan. Currently in the teens, with high for today the mid 20's so today looks to be a stay indoors and finish some real-world compute work while catching the golf later. @berkeleybob perhaps you and your neighbor can come to an agreement? If Christmas was every day, then your gift would be the coming of warmer, springtime weather. @No3PuttLaLa sounds like a nice way to pay tribute to your brother, and you should post a picture once it is completed. Supposedly going to be warmer tomorrow so that currently looks like the day I will head to the range to hopefully see that my swing is still somewhat intact, and not too far off from mid-season form. Hope that your day is the best it can be, no matter what may be in your plans or on your agenda, and that something enjoyable is involved as well.
  6. Happy Birthday @MattF, @AlanW, @HighFade, @Muckinfiddle, @TElmore, and @medievaldave Hope your day is the best it can be.
  7. You may also want to check Google for reviews on these irons, there were many other reviews there, but I have "restricted" internet at work and could not see all of them or add links. If I recall they were the first Titleist distance irons that had forgiveness also made a priority.
  8. Below is some older information on them from MGS https://mygolfspy.com/news-opinion/titleist-714-irons/
  9. Good morning Spies on a TGIF here in the Motor City area. Unable to have a no commute workday, and the cold weather settled back in here. Hoping to get some range time in over the weekend, have a couple of clubs I want to also try out and see if they can fit at the top of the bag and help with some gapping concerns. Will be a busy day here for me today, and most of the others are on the "not working from home" program today, so I should be able to accomplish all I need to do without interruption, and possibly get done a little early. @Jmikecpa safe travels and enjoy your time in the Sunshine State. Hope that your day is the best it can be, and something enjoyable is in your plans.
  10. Another great call with a lot of varied discussion topics and another 20+ member participation. Really a great thing for those who have not yet participated to really make plans to join in and see exactly what the forum and members are really about.
  11. Javs, Happy Birthday, and be sure to fill out your profile here as your birthday would then show-up on the forum, and members can see it and provide birthday wishes in the "Happy Birthday" thread.
  12. Good morning Spies on this Community Call Thursday. @Dead Solid Bogey glad that things are looking better for you, or at least under some control. Just another normal workday for me, a few meetings I present data and charts at, and more part analysis. Uncertain if I can get it all done, so I may have to also go in tomorrow. Supposed to be a wet, snow turning to rain day today, I left early enough to go in to miss it, and hope it is warmer later where the roads will just be wet. Hope your day is the best it possibly can be, and that something enjoyable is in your plans.
  13. Happy Birthday @SDunne, @Mike B, and @CaddyShacked Hope your day is the best it possibly can be.
  14. Only a couple minutes from where I am staying at according to this map............................... possibly a meet for breakfast could be in the plans
  15. Typical breakfast @sirchunksalot Jason? Asking for those who may also want to partake during the MGS outing.
  16. Happy Birthday, and pretty cool to get the playing number to match your birth year date. Be sure to completely fill out your profile here, and your birthday will be recognized by the forum as well.
  17. Good morning Spies on a cold, crisp, but clear Michigan morning. Sunshine in the forecast for today, and really hoping to see it, to break up the drab, dreary, gray skies so common throughout the winter months. Normal, busy workday for me, trying to get all I need to have done in the facility, so I can have a no commute Friday if possible. Hope that you make your day the best it possibly can be, and that something enjoyable is in your plans for today.
  18. Happy Birthday @davpark3, and @Dpersad. Hope your day is the best it can be.
  19. Doug, do you think that maybe the Newton 5-dot would better replicate the HZRDUS Black 6.0 shaft profile? As far as lower launching and similar feel throughout the swing.
  20. Congrats. to this great and diverse group of testers. Looking forward to their comments and results. May they all hit them long and straight during this testing.
  21. Good morning Spies on this FAT TUESDAY morning here in the Motor City area. Just another workday, but working in the Hamtramck, MI area also means that I can stop and get another "traditional item" for Fat Tuesday as well. The bakeries open at 3:00AM EST, and there usually is a long line lasting most of the morning to get in. Hope that your day is the best it can be, and that something enjoyable is in your plans.
  22. Happy Birthday @KSxFinesse, @CAPTAIN MORGAN, and @richk9holes Hope your day is the best it can be.
  23. Thanks for sharing this Jamie. I also have a friend here who knows the owner of a restaurant named "Shorty's" in Williamsburg, but they haven't been there or could provide any details about it. Maybe someone from that area may chime in with some remarks about it, if they visited it?
  24. Safe travels @Kenny B and I hope that you and Martha enjoy your trip this year.
