  1. Good morning Spies on a no commute TGIF cooler morning but warmer afternoon here in Michigan. Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery @Peaksy68 I will be creating part analysis presentations and working in the customer warranty system to provide responses to why parts were replaced, or vehicles repaired. Looking forward to a mid 50's and maybe windy Saturday, as I have a round scheduled with our regular group, and it will be my round for the VCT tournament. Hope your day is the best it possibly can be, and that something enjoyable is in your plans.
  2. Glad you were able to get the help required in a timely manner and now are on the mend. Here's hoping for a speedy and complete recovery.
  3. Happy Birthday @Samuel09152, @BeansGuy, @Emag315, and @MonroeBob Hope your day is the best it possibly can be.
  4. Another great call with another large quantity of members in attendance discussing a variety of subjects. Hoping that @GolfSpy_BEN gets his driver issue corrected sooner than later so he can provide additional comments and data. @cnosil Chris physically looked like he is really ready to get back into being able to swing and get out golfing. And thanks to Jamie, @GolfSpy_APH for the heads up on the Bridgestone ball test for many members without it impacting any on-going or future testing opportunities.
  5. Good morning Spies on this Community Call Thursday here in the Motor City. After record setting high temperatures the last 2 days, a bit cooler with rain in the forecast for the next day or so. Normal workday for me, looking like I will finally have a no commute day tomorrow, and I am so looking forward to that. @ParFore74x safe travels, and best of luck in the tournament. @sirchunksalot sometimes rest actually increases opportunities going forward. @IndyBonzo enjoy your day out on the kayak adventure. Hope that your day is the best it can be, and that something enjoyable is in your plans.
  6. Happy Birthday @EugeGall, @Golf Dawg, and @cdewispelare Hope your day is the best it possibly can be.
  7. Check out Galway Bay. They usually have discounts and sales, and were highly rated during MGS testing. With rain gear, you typically get what you pay for as far a quality goes, and these seem to meet all expectations at a lower price point.
  8. Not a materials or chemical guy, but the PVD coating process is really big in automotive wheel applications in place of traditional "chrome plating" processes. A link explaining what it is, how it is applied and the benefits are below. Again, as mentioned previously, constantly having it subjected to impact and outside environmental conditions may impact how it looks after repeated use. https://alcadyne.com/what-is-pvd-coating-how-it-works/#:~:text=PVD coatings are thin film,or optical characteristics are needed.
  9. Good morning Spies from a warmer, record setting temperature day here in Michigan. Supposed to be in the low 70's with sunshine so looking forward to seeing how much I can get done in a timely manner at work, so I may potentially get out a little earlier to enjoy it. Hope that your day is the best it possibly can be, and that something fun and enjoyable is in your plans.
  10. Happy Birthday @Up and Down Hope your day is the best it can be.
  11. Looks great @Rob Person You may want to share where it came from, for those of us in the north who could use it indoors during the winter months.
  12. Go and have fun and play your best! I have tee times for Saturday and Sunday here, mid 50's Saturday, high 40's Sunday but both days are looking to be dry. Playing with at least one of our regular foursome both days.
  13. Pure grips went out of business earlier this year. Looking forward to the comments from this group of testers.
  14. Good morning Spies on a mostly cloudy but warmer Michigan Tuesday. Hoping to see mid 60's the next couple days, and with the extra hour of sunlight after work, I may be able to also get a trip to the range in. Customer meeting this morning for me, and then just a normal workday. Hope that you have safe travels Derek, @EasyPutter and that the trip allows for some great memories to be created. Make your day the best it possibly can be, and hopefully something enjoyable is in your plans.
  15. Happy Birthday @goaliewales14 Hope your day is the best it can be.
  16. Have to disagree with @Marlin Dave, and I have seen Fields play the Lion's since he came into the league. Watched other Bears games too, so not just a small sample size. He does have the "hold the ball too long" and "not seeing the open receiver" issues documented all through his game films, but I also agree that the lack of talent on the offensive line, and the lack of proper or good coaching hasn't done him any favors either. Since there are still a lot of teams looking for QB help, he may get another shot if Chicago does find a trade partner, but what they get in return will be nowhere near the first round pick they used to take him.
  17. Good morning Spies on a back to work Monday for me here in Michigan. Still a cold morning, but low 50's for the high today, then the temperature is supposed to stabilize a bit with some rain during the week. Plans for me are to make it through a busy week ahead and get a round in outdoors next Saturday. Hope that your day is the best it can be, and that something enjoyable is in your plans. Have fun @GolfSpy_KFT and enjoy your vacation time away.
  18. Happy Birthday @Rgreenberg, @rore73, and @hawkdriver Make your day the best it can be.
  19. Had a range session and then a SIM round yesterday. Range session again with me starting with wedges, hitting various shots to various distances before attempting to make a full swing with both Gap and Pitching wedges to targets at the distances I hit each of them. Moved up through the irons, but also started each club hitting shots to approximately 1/2 the normal distance I would hit them to keep tempo slow and swing in proper sequence. Hit hybrids, trying to get a feel for which one may make the bag, and it seems that as long as I carry a 5 wood, the 4 hybrid hits required distances better for me than the 3 hybrid does. 3 hybrid has similar distance to my 5 wood, just different flight characteristics. Hit some drivers too, again, feeling like I was swing no more than 80%, didn't worry about distance, wanted to keep them on target. SIM round was at 5 Iron facility here in Shelby Township near my house. Played a round at Detroit Golf Club on their SIM, as I have played the course a few times live. Scored an 80, 40 each side, but only missed 2 fairways, again not always hitting driver off the tee, and missed 4 greens total. Ready for the weather here to get warmer, as I am hoping to get a live round in next weekend for the VCT Championship tournament. Sent you a message here, hope that it may help you out.
  20. A list is on the very bottom of the forum home page, it updates daily. At least on a computer, as I don't use my phone to view the forum here.
  21. Good morning Spies on this "DST Spring Forward" Sunday here, although @jbern has displayed a picture of what it looks like in my area too. Mid 20's, windy and high of low 3o's today, but supposed to get to 50 tomorrow so it won't last long. Did manage to get some range time in, and a SIM round in yesterday, so today will be doing tasks around the house and watching the final round of the AP Invitational. Hope your day is the best it can be, and that something fun and enjoyable is in your plans.
  22. Happy Birthday @CudaKota66, @JAYER38, and @BassMaestro Hope your day is the best it possibly can be!
  23. @Preeway hit a big nail on the head when he stated NO SWING THOUGHTS are the best thoughts to have while out on the course. If you have a range session prior to golf, and are hitting the ball well, TRUST yourself to keep that same feeling while out on the course. Typically, when I practice, I like to think that I am making swings at about 80% effort to keep things smooth and under control, and then use that same thought while playing. If I do get an idea of really swinging hard to maximize distance, it usually leads to getting out of sequence / timing and leads to worse results. Big idea I was taught many years ago was to swing the club, not hit the ball. PS: @Javs also just hammered home some points on another big nail head.
  24. Happy Birthday @K8golfer and @Aaron W Hope your day is the best it possibly can be!
  25. Good morning Spies on a cool, dreary, rainy Saturday here. Have some things to do around the house this morning, and then I am hoping to get to the range / SIM later this afternoon and evening. Need to get a round in for the VCT and the weather here not cooperating at all. Potential for an inch or two of the white stuff again tomorrow. Hope your day is the best it can be, that something fun and enjoyable is in your plans.
