  2. Date 07/11/2023 Course Name Monarch Beach Golf Links Gross Score 98 Course Handicap 21 Gross Strokes over/under par 28 Net Score to Par 7 Net Score 77 Net Birdies or better 5 Longest Drive 270 First time playing this place, pretty great course. Played 2 rounds here today, thought the second round was going to go better than the first. It didn’t.
  3. Date 07/10/2023 Course Name Strawberry Farms Golf Club Gross Score 99 Course Handicap 22 Gross Strokes over/under par 28 Net Score to Par 6 Net Score 77 Net Birdies or better 2 Longest Drive 265 Mediocre golf. Pretty good course.
  4. Date 07/07/2023 Course Name Angel Park Palm Gross Score 93 Course Handicap 22 Gross Strokes over/under par 23 Net Score to Par 1 Net Score 71 Net Birdies or better 7 Longest Drive 256
  5. It was a very interesting read. Only time will tell how this all shakes out but if he's right, I don't envy Monahan and the other leaders at PGAT.
  6. Date 07/04/2023 Course Name Coyote Springs Gross Score 104 Course Handicap 27 Gross Strokes over/under par 32 Net Score to Par 5 Net Score 77 Net Birdies or better 5 Longest Drive 289 Bunkers may be the end of me. 8 holes where I went into the bunker and was able to get out in 1 stroke 6 times (although poor shots). The other 2 times it took me 5 strokes and 2 strokes to get out. Def doesn’t help the scorecard.
  7. Trying to watch coverage but the ESPN app ain’t working.
  8. Yes. I usually play a V1X or the Maxfli Tour X but have been playing these for the last little while. Dig them.
  9. Date 06/27/2023 Course Name Desert Willow Gross Score 86 Course Handicap 17 Gross Strokes over/under par 26 Net Score to Par 9 Net Score 69 Net Birdies or better 2 Longest Drive 260 First round in a couple weeks. Tough course and mediocre iron play.
  10. $17.50 / dozen is the online price. It's only around $14 / dozen in store. $1.17/ball!
  11. Playing tough courses where you might be more inclined to lose balls is one spot where a $1 golf ball is preferred to a $3-4 ball. Stings a lot less when they disappear.
  12. I played a round today and I've got to say, these wedges are actually pretty good. I replaced the grips to match the rest of my clubs. The feel and weight of these as actually really nice. Consider me impressed.
  13. I'd assume that lots of "charities" don't contribute as much of their income as you would hope/expect. I always wondered how much of the foundations/charities established by former/current professional players aren't just a way for them to keep more of their money as opposed to doing as much good as they could.
  14. What’s worse, it wasn’t even funny.
  15. Went and did some green side play with the 52º and 56º wedges today. On short little chips, the leading edge is still sharp and gets eaten up by the rough a little easier than my RTX-6 54º wedge. On half shots, the wedges performed fairly well. I’m going to put all 3 of them in my bag for the next few rounds and see how it goes. Here are a bunch of comparison photos between the V1 and V2 wedges. V2 wedges on the left and V1 on the right. Wedges separated by loft. V2 wedges still on the left. You can see the difference in the labeling. V2 wedges have a thicker/easier to read font. V2 wedge is farther away. It is a much cleaner looking wedge. Clearly they listened to people who complained about how big the KS logo is. Face comparison. The V2 wedge doesn’t have as much of a shine on the toe. Interestingly, the V1 wedge had a Kirkland Signature sticker with a “Powered By True Temper” logo. That is not the case on the new ones. Wonder if they are not made by True Temper anymore? You can see the difference in grind. This was the 52º. V2 is on the right. Smaller sole, not as sharp of a leading edge. This is the 56º. V2 is on the right. This was the 60º. V2 is on the right.
  16. We have a thread going on this already. To answer your question, I just received mine in the mail today. I’ll be posting pics of the new and old wedges shortly.
  17. PGAMemes is having an absolute heyday with this merger. Whether you are for or against or indifferent, there is some real comedy over there.
  18. Thanks for the clarification and explanation @JohnSmalls. Funny stuff.
  19. Will you explain this to me? I have no idea what it means.
  20. I have got to think that probably the elevated events will be modified? And their press release it says that they are trying to iron everything out and I do not envy them on trying to square everything up. Their calendar is already full and then you add in the LIV stuff which will certainly be a different series, but it still has schedules that presumably their other big-name guys will be playing on as well. Maybe the elevated events become the LIV events?
  21. I was thinking that Tiger and Rory have got to be absolutely pissed
  22. I feel like I remember seeing a similar announcement on April 1. At that time it was such a farce that no one would ever believe it.
  23. So my assumption is that this will be a different league that is obviously separate from the PGA TOUR and their nonprofit status. I would bet that the PGA and Liv did not want their dirty laundry aired in these lawsuits so it benefited both of them to settle this and move forward
  24. I played a round today with them. Had to replace a ball because it hit a rock and got a little ding. I’ll post a pic later. I hit several wedge shots with absolutely no issues. I don’t know how hard you hit your wedges or how much spin you generate so I can’t give you my money back guarantee but Costco will.
  25. We have been talking about it in the V2 thread. Pretty much everyone is very impressed. I played a round today and cannot tell a difference between my normal V1X and Maxfli Tour X. It was a windy day and good shots didn’t seem to be touched by the wind. Bad shots reacted the way I would expect. The wind would just take it. Same as any other ball. It’s still early but it is VERY possible that this will become my gamer. The bang for your buck is undeniable.
