  1. Go to for years was Seemore- I always had one as either my primary or alternate for years. Now, I’m an Evnroll man. Tried and true go to since I did something with an Evnroll that I never did in a lifetime of golf- had 12 putts in 9 holes with my EV5.2 Duo. So go to for now….

Mint Condition Callaway Apex / Pro CF19 Combo Set (3 Iron, 5-7 Apex 19, 8-PW Apex Pro). The set makeup includes upgraded Nippon N.S.PRO 850GH Neo Stiff shafts. All irons are standard length with a lie angle that is 2 degrees flat (red). I had iron covers on these throughout the time I’ve owned them (enduring ridicule from many a playing partner), which has kept the heads in Mint condition. The grips still have plenty of life in them. There is no 4 iron. I am including a 3 iron, that I use as a Driving Iron. The 3 iron is bent to 18 degrees and is great for chipping out from under a tree or it serves well off the tee as a driving iron. The grips are Golf Pride Tour Velvet Align with the Callaway Chevron- they still have a lot of life left in them. I would also include the gap wedge for an additional charge of $75. Any questions, please ask.

Used but in great condition, this is a unique offering. You get 2 shafts: the standard Mitsubishi Tensei CK Orange Series 70 gram Stiff Flex and an Evenflow Riptide CB 5.0 A Flex 40 gram “Otto Flex” shaft. The “Otto Flex” is a hack of the $700 Auto Flex shafts, which you can read more about here: https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/53310-shaft-hack-the-otto-phlex-journey/ The Tensei is standard 3 wood length, while the Evenflow is 1/2 inch shorter at 42.5 inches. The Tensei comes with an orange Golf Pride MCC grip and the Evenflow has a midsized Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip- both in great shape. Headcover is included. Any questions, please ask.

  5. I haven’t updated in a while and I was able to get a lot of golf in late in the season in NJ. The conditions were cool and wet and I can’t say how much I enjoyed hitting my 101T’s. The added forgiveness and turf interaction led to some great scoring in tough conditions. The wider soles and turf interaction made hitting off wet turf very easy. My last round (definitively) was a 78 on New Years Eve day. Looking forward to having these in the bag all season once the snow melts.
  6. Just curious: will Titleist lest us know for sure what ball it was that we tested? The consensus seems to be that it’s a new AVX, but it would be cool to know for sure.
  7. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity at a second testing with the Takomo 101t’s that ended up in my bag. What a great community! I would love to test the Triple Diamond against my standard Paradym. I have that nagging feeling it might be a better fit for me. Don’t you all hate that feeling? Only one way to find out. If a Triple Diamond becomes available- I would love to give it a go and get rid of that nagging feeling.
  8. As a long time fan of Evnroll putters, I noticed that the milling in my EV5.2 seems more pronounced than in previous iterations. I have the ER2v and had the ER5v and the milling wasn’t as noticeable- more of a smooth look. Anyone else notice this? Wondering why Evnroll changed the milling?
  9. Showing my age, but the true pioneer in combo sets was MacGregor. I had a sweet set of VIP’s that were a blend of cavity back and blades. Presently play the Apex and Apex Pro Combo set- love them!
  10. A little background on my game- The balls I play the most are 1. ProV1, 2. Chrome Soft XLS, 3. AVX. I’m a very average driver player and a very good iron player. My short game is hot and cold- the first time I played the Prototype, I was hot. With that background here are my impressions of the Titleist Prototype ball: Looks- It’s circular, almost sphere like- kind of looks like that thing at EPCOT, but a lot, lot, lot smaller. It has beautiful script and a number 1 on it; but I’m not quite sure if the ball is suppose to win “Titles” or I am? I have to say that the penmanship on the ball is fantastic. Oh… and it’s white. Feel - The Titleist Test ball feels a bit firmer than the AVX and very similar to the Pro V1- not as firm as the CS XLS. I really like the click off the putter with my Evnroll 5.2. I play Takomo 101T’s and they sound a bit clicky off the irons. With the driver, I don’t feel much… just the usual heartache. Responsiveness - I’ve been very impressed around the greens with the Prototype balls. They do everything I ask them- very similar to the ProV1’s and better than the CSXLS. Punch shots and knock downs stopped on a dime for me and I got plenty of backspin on approach shots. With the putter, I found the click to be very pleasing. Performance - The Prototype was shorter off the driver as the trajectory was lower than with the ProV1- late fall has been cool and soggy, so all carry. The CSXLS is the longest ball off the driver for me so there’s no comparison- the Protoype was 10-15 yards shorter than the XLS off the driver. I didn’t notice a significant drop-off with the irons in terms of distance. The spin was good on approach shots. With my fairway woods and driver, I found the prototype to be very straight with very little side spin. I had no trouble keeping my drives playable, which says a lot for me. Overall Observations - I had my best 9 holes at getting up and down with the Prototype- had 12 putts; finished up with 29 putts on the day. For a late fall round, the greens were fast, but soft and receptive. I would be very interested to see how this ball would play in summer with firmer fairways. I think it would be fine on harder greens because of the short game spin. I thinks it’s a good ball if they price it right- it doesn’t do everything well like the ProV1 and it’s not a bomber like the CS XLS. Would I play this ball?- At the right price I would play this ball.
  11. Evnroll EV5.2 duo with Gravity Grip is what I just got. Put heavier 33 gram weights in the head and had 12 putts on the front nine with my first round and 29 total. Always been an Evnroll fan (had a ER2vB and Midlock 5) but this one with the inline slant hosel made quite the first impression.
  12. Just as I feared- lost one in the leaves. I really enjoyed the Test ball- played very similar to the Pro V1. But I think it’s an AVX as others have guessed. Maybe a slightly firmer AVX, but with the same low ball flight. I was very impressed with it around the greens - I was an up and down machine on the front 9- had 12 putts, which is unreal for me. The ball stopped on dime anytime I wanted it. Ended up playing a very good round with it in very wet conditions. The Test ball carried a little less because of the lower trajectory off the driver than the ProV1. Since it was so wet I never bothered playing the Chrome Soft XLS. I only compared it to the V1. I often play both the ProV1 and AVX- and this one seems like something slightly in between. Didn’t have any durability issues- I hit a tree on the back 9 and it didn’t leave a mark. Hopefully getting out with it again on Friday. Maybe then I’ll compare it to the CS XLS.
  13. Playing with them today. I hope the leaves were blown so I don’t lose any on this nice fall day. I’ve been putting with them- definitely not left dashes as they don’t feel like rocks off my Evnroll. Going to play them along with Pro V1 and Chrome Soft XLS. With the putter, they feel much closer to the Pro V1 than the XLS.
  14. Because of the interchangeable weights (pictured), the V Series 5 putters from Evnroll are advertised as “dynamic toe flow options and perimeter weighting MOI benefits.” So does that mean you can re-arrange the weights in the wings to reduce or increase toe hang? Or is the flow something else? Anyone have an idea what it means or is Evnroll just full of Sugar Honey Ice Tea?
  15. The SP putters intrigue me since I play an Evnroll ER2v with 3 dots (33 inch) at 34 inches with the Gravity Grip as a counterbalance- very heavy over all weight, but not that heavy swing weight wise. It’s been great for me- I putted better with it than my old stroke lab double wide. I liked the counterbalancing in the stroke lab, but I really don’t like the white hot insert- I think Evnroll have the best putter faces. Enjoy the SP reviewing experience.
  16. @cnosil Glad to see you got picked to review the Sacks Parente putters- considering the work you put into this thread, it’s well deserved and a wise choice. Congrats! Looking forward to seeing what you think.
  17. Comparing the Hzrdus and the GD is definitely not apples to apples. I will say before I ordered the AD UB from Callaway Pre-Owned, I ordered and returned a 50 gram AD HD, which I hit similarly to the Hzrdus and thus took advantage of Callaway’s generous return policy and sent it back for the UB. I was basically going to keep doing that until I got one that fit me better - didn’t think it would happen on the second try. On a whim (after reading that you could actually increase swing speed with a heavier shaft by engaging the bigger muscles), I went up 10 grams in the UB. I wanted to add this for anyone thinking of fitting themselves by taking advantage of CPO’s wonderful return policy. Worked for me. The great thing is that I got the UB for cheaper than HD. And the UB is prettier… because that of course is what really matters.
  18. Another round hitting 12/14 fairways with the Graphite Design Tour AD UB 6 in my Paradym. Again, I can’t say it’s the increased weight, but I was really enjoying consistent baby draws with the GD shaft. I pushed one and hooked one on the day, but they were not huge misses. I also checked my swing speed with the 60 gram GD vs the 50 gram Hzrdus and was 2mph faster with the heavier shaft. So, I’m really not seeing the benefit of a lighter shaft when it comes to swing speed. I have a feeling that the weight may help my tempo and the GD is a better fit for my swing.
  19. Too bad @TylorJudd you didn’t get the KBS Lites- I’ve really enjoyed them. Speaking of which, I’ve gone away from playing a combo Takoma/Apex Pro’s and I’m just playing the Takomos. I’m enjoying the added forgiveness of the Takomos and the gapping is better. Plus the turf interaction is much better with the soggy autumn conditions. Hope you feel better Tylor.
  20. Great- did you notice a higher ball flight/more backspin?
  21. So I may be bumping my own thread as this may turn into a review of the Graphite Design AD UB Tour. It’s possible that the weight change is what did it, but I had great results on the course. I hit 11/14 fairways with only one bad miss because of a bad swing. The weight really helps to feel where the club is during the swing, but the GD shaft just feels so powerful- no other way to describe it. Unfortunately the conditions were tough off the tee - the course is still so soggy after all the rain we got in NJ so I could only judge distances based on carry. I was getting mostly 230’s to 240’s and a couple of 250’s with beautiful straight or slight draw shot shape. (My big miss was a slice that was the result of me getting too confident and losing concentration after hitting so many good drives.) I think I’ve found the perfect combo of head and shaft for me- Paradym and GD HD-UB 6S… the colors match nicely too, which is nice.
  22. I got a Graphite Design AD UB Tour 6S off of CPO and took it to the range today. My first impression was very pleasing and promising. I was switching it out with the standard Hzrdus Silver 50S and the heavier GD AD UB felt much better. It was easier to feel where the club was at every point of the swing. The AD UB had a real nice release - felt very powerful. I think the more stout (less torque, stiffer tip and heavier weight) helped me with my misses. I had only one snap hook with the AD UB. Looking forward to putting it in play this week on the course.
  23. What Player Will Have the Most Points? A: Viktor Hovland What Player Will secure the Clinching Point on Sunday? A: Brooks Koepka Gorgeous wedges! Gratzi!
  24. Brother- I’m with ya! I just ordered a Graphite Design AD UB-6 for $146 (they had 20% off, free shipping and I had $14 worth of points). I figured 13 grams of additional weight to try out the “activate large muscles theory” and a stiff tip will give me a very different profile from the Hzrdus Silver 50-S. We’ll see…
