Lessons in Chemistry, yes liked that one!

We watched the first one... very slow. Not sure if we'll continue. Percy Jackson was good. Echo is a short series we liked.

An older syfy series we're watching, "Alphas". There are only 2 seasons.

Talk to me about your go-to premium golf ball!
roland49 replied to Shlax's topic in Golf Balls/Shafts/Grips
My go to selections are : ProV, ProVx, Oncore Elixr (plays very much like ProV) with a good price point, Calloway chrome soft or Supersoft, Taylormade tour response. Recently I got over 100 balls at a yard sale for $10. all but a few in very good condition. most were ProV's. lots of Calloways's, some Bridgestones (not my favorite). -
Now watching Rabbit hole. Like that one...now on season two

Date 08/13/2023 Course Name Crow Creek Gross Score 84 Course Handicap 8 Gross Strokes over/under par 12 Net Score to Par 4 Net Score 76 Net Birdies or better 1 Longest Drive 240 Nice course, but the greens were very poor. The course's bent grass greens do not like the Carolina heat and humidity. Actually, the course closed the next day so they course focus on getting the greens back in shape.

I primarily use plastic because they last longer and typically have a less resistant head design. For par 3's I will use a broken wooden tee, there are usually a few hanging around the tee box.

I've been using a TruTech blade putter for years. I put a golfpride tour SNSR grip on it (got as a free sample)...great grip. Some back story - I had a t-line blade putter that I won a putting contest at a national AM Cancer Soc tournament. Won a gold budwiser putter. Being not too smart I sold the t-line putter... but found this trutech and never looked back.

What benefits do you find of joining a golf club?
roland49 replied to Jim Shaw's topic in General Q&A
Years ago I was a member of a golf club, it was les than a mile from my (then) home and fairly inexpensive. Advantages, golf league play, many golf events, large group og golf buddies. Since moving to Myrtle Beach, SC, I did not join a club, (price was an issue), but mainly because there are so many courses in the area I did not want to limit myself to just one. Still have many golf buddies, through the two groups with which I regularly play. -
Unfortunately, we got a bunch of rain during the round...but managed to complete the round.

Date 07/25/2023 Course Name River Oaks Golf Club Gross Score 77 Course Handicap 10 Gross Strokes over/under par 5 Net Score to Par -5 Net Score 67 Net Birdies or better 7 Longest Drive 225 I have not played this course in a while. They punched the greens about two and a half weeks ago, so they were still a little bumpy.

I'm very happy with my hybrid, Toyota Rav4. It is the second one that I've owned. The lack of charging stations, time it takes to charge, and limited range are all drawbacks to current all electric vehicles.
