  1. That’s the Golf Spy Spirit OZ. A lot can happen in three weeks, good luck, hope you get a chance to play in Italy. Gioca a golf e colpisci quel fairway
  2. Recover well OZ, that would have been a great golf course to play. Myself with that opportunity, injection, Vodka and Whiskey chaser and grit the teeth. But this is not a medical suggestion and if you choose this avenue I cannot be held responsible for your actions.
  3. I turn up most times an hour before my tee time, start with hitting a 5 iron so I stretch out a little being a longer club and will not go to other clubs until I hit it flush. Then I’ll go through evens or odds with my irons, my routine is pick a target and hit three shots in a row, they need to be accurate until I move on to next club. If I hit one or two or three and one is so far off I’ll start again until three dead on in a row. Then check score card for hole one and look at the flyover and play that with my clubs on the range. If that goes well play number two on the range: Do some putting for green speed and then hit the range again with balls left in basket for a quick warm up so I’m stretched out again. If I do this I can eliminate excuses for bad play due to no warm up.
  4. Congrats on your first tee-time of the year, hope you have a good morning at the course. Yes Sunrise golf is perfect, cool breeze, fresh fairways and greens.
  5. Happy to hear upping your club made your best score, I have a buddy that will not do this and complains about his round, I’ve told him to take extra club but he still thinks he in his early 30s. I told him extra club, swing easy, better results will happen. It works, it’s all about numbers. Most courses set up would be 6 middle, 6 left and 6 right on the greens. So at least 6 middle of green could be closer than most would think, plus middle of the green would result with either a 6 - 30 ft putt right or left. Of course some greens are bigger than 60 ft wide but not many.
  6. Back in the day in Europe they did a test on amateur golfers. Don’t know the whole field in numbers but I’m sure it was enough to grade the results. Play 18 holes and submit your score. Easy enough, now with hole locations moved play the same 18 with no flags. When some asked how do we play they were told, aim for the center of the green and putt out like normal. Result, without flags scored better due to not knowing where the flag was taking away pressure and not trying to attack a pin even professionals wouldn’t go after. Good advice and yes sometimes I ignore it and kick myself, always walking off thinking, middle of the green, stupid.
  7. The thing with testing is I don’t go for everything on offer. Some things interest me and some, not so much. Sometimes I like to read other views on items that I don’t throw my hat into the ring for. I’ve purchased many things from reviews on Golf Spy and will always be thankful we have a balanced testing pool.
  8. And that’s the thing for me, I hate what LIV the Devils Golf did by offering so much temptation money that players couldn’t resist. And we are not talking players that couldn’t be in the hunt on the pga tour. Right now most on the World rankings in the top twenty either play on LIV not getting points and rightly so or they are playing like shower heads. ( Hot and Cold ) The chasing pack are not same level anymore, only people that could put up some kind of game are to inconsistent, Rory, Xander, Wyndham, Morikawa and Homa, maybe add Harmon. I can see Scotty being numbers one for years, he doesn’t have any real challenge unless one of those has a coming to Jesus moment or goes to the crossroads and signs on the dotted line.
  9. The question asked is a good question and it’s a hard answer because out of the pack no one is as consistent as Scotty. So let’s add to the question, would Scotty be number 1 if all the players on the LIV tour still played on the PGA tour?
  10. Happy Birthday from myself and Clyde.
