  1. Definely depends on if there is a range or not. If there is then atleast an hour considering if i have nothing else going on before. That way i can take my time getting my stuff exactly how I like it. But if there is no range then like 30-40 mins. I hate rushing feom the car to the Tbox
  2. I tested these out when they first came out and loved the feel but since i was new/back to golf i ended up settling on the LTDx irons just for the extra help. Man do I wish i just got the forged tec instead. Dont get me wrong the LTDx are fantastic irons from feel to distance to help bringing down those misses. BUT now im finding that im pulling clubs out just die to the fact i dont need the wider sole in most circumstances.(most specifically my wedges). I should have gotten the slightly less handicap friendly clubs and gotten used to hitting them than to settle for the easier to hit at purchase time.
  3. Been raining consistently for the past like 3 weeks in the NE. Looking like its going to be a good week to go pin hunting! A little chilly but means we wont break a sweat walking the course. Already have 2 rounds booked this week. Lets go!
  4. Im sure thats definitely a piece. I havent personally had any issues with people being over intoxicated but ive heard stories. Ive had issues people “just hit into them” type. Where we are slow cause a group infront of us is holding us up and the group behind feels as if its time for them to be course managers and start confrontations instead of letting the superintendents or rangers control the course.
  5. I know this is a dark topic but i feel as if i have been seeing more posts on violence on the course whether its physical assault attempts or just verbal abuses. Is this a trend thats on the rise or is it a outcome of golf popularity?
  6. I do it with the idea to build just a small chip and putt course. We used to have one near me that went bust a while back and it was great! The longest hole was like 87yds and was perfect. Could bang out 18 in like hour and a half. Had food trucks and was lit up. I feel that if it was still around it would be incredible with the resurgence of golf.
  7. Was driving around the other day and was passing The Range (bar/restaurant and golf range) in Hingham MA and remembered to look up the golf range thats across the street and google maps says its part of the Boston Golf Club but I have never heard of it. Anyone heard of it? Someone mentioned it might be part of Black Rock CC, but i didnt think that was the same course? I also looked up the website and it doesnt really say anything about memberships or even how to play there. Anyone know anything about it?
  8. My driver i dont think it even understands there is a fairway cause it rarely goes there BUT my approach/shortgame saves me. Pretty accurate from like 180 in. Granted thats practice playing on some Par3s but idk just anything from like and 8i-60 deg just feels so good in my hands. I gain too many strokes getting into that distance is what kills my HC right now.
  9. I cracked my taylor made driver with the carbon face. Guy at the pro shop told me the carbon face is great unless you miss hit it with any higher end speeds. I had a few too many topline strikes and it caused the face to fail. Went back to my Calloway Mavrick ive been fine since.
  10. I love the small pocket for tees or ball marker/ turf fork. I hate them jingling around in my pockets.
  11. Cheap one i got in a assortment kit on amazon. Soft on one side and metal on the other. Never have to really use the but it's there if i slacked and didn't clean my clubs after the prev round. That and a wet towel usually does that job just fine. Clean the towel ever other round or two and all set. I do have a bad habit of having 3 towels on my bag though. I think it started from getting towels from the nicer clubs and just never taking them off the bag or my wife getting me a towel cause she doesnt know much about golf but knows i love it so she gets little gifts to support it.
  12. No launch monitor yet. Trying to find something thats decent in price and easy to transport. I try to use the monitors at ranges if available.
  13. I got to use one in a hole a few years ago when i played with one of the owners and loved it. Ran into them at the golf show and when i hit a gee long putts and saw the price( i had to pick it up.
  14. Jaxon Golf Mark X Putter. Used to use a Odyssey EXO Indi mallet putter and changed to this a few weeks ago and it changed my game. Rounded face has been the move
  15. My wife tells me i have too many hobbies and that they are too expensive . I mean i dont count working out as a hobby but ill include it all the same. My other hobbies would be rifle/archery shooting, mountain biking, and skydiving. The wife says she has to have my phone on tracking mode cause she never knows what i could be doing in the drop of a hat. She wasnt thrilled when she called me and i had to hangup cause the green light on the jump door turned green… oops
  16. I got a free box of those from the golf show and have yet to give them a whack
  17. Im sure the answer is in the replies somewhere but is there any company that has like a great like warranty or parts selection to keep a cart going. My current cart is legit 30yrs old and not gonna lie ive refused to replace it even though its inconvenient on the 2 wheels mostly from nostalgia of it being my grandfathers. Its time it takes a break and the cheap 3 wheel i bought 2 years ago a rear wheel fell off mid round and i just tossed it
  18. Yeah weve just been there so much that they were able to slide us in. We are doing a week at cold springs NH but with having a baby its been hard to think about camping season
  19. Not golf related but love Normandy Farms. I have 5 weeks back to back booked there for this summer!
  20. Finally making some headway with the driver. Went from hard slices to a little fadey. Still very inconsistent but its getting better. These were my last two. On a sim so yes i do know its not the same but it has been helping on the course.
  21. Alot of good things were suggested that i agree with so i tried to think of one not recommended. How about a red/green light on blind tee boxes. Yeah some courses have bells but those are subjective to how hard to ring it or even if you do, but a like traffic sort light would be easier.
  22. Ive also seen a few course supervisors that need to be put in their place. Had one yell at me cause i drove a ball near his cart…. Still don't understand that to this day. Its a hard dog leg left and i cut the corner. I had no idea he was even in that area cause its a blind shot
  23. I thought slow play was my main pet peeve till this weekend. Ill set the picture were a trio playing behind a 4some, a solo behind us, and a 4some behind him. on the 3rd tee box weve been waiting 10 mins and the group infront is so bad they are still within like pitching wedge distance. The solo was standing with us, we offered to let him play with us or jump us cause obv hes a little faster than a trio. The 4some behind him just finish the 2nd as we are putting down to tee off and these (insert worse swear descriptive you can think of) decide to put balls down nxt to the green and launch them at us while hurley insults and swearing cause of “golf etiquette” at us. No worries their shots at us landed nowhere near us, but i think my 2 friends and walking down to them and letting them know we are ready at anytime quickly s*** them up. I get it slow play can be infuriating but attempting to injure other players especially in such a blatant way is NEVER acceptable. We reported them to the clubhouse but you know how the small town friends of the clubhouse get treated.
  24. Yeah and im sure the mud balls werent exactly flying straight. But hey a day on the course is alot better than a day at work so cant complain too much
