  1. I appreciate it. You're the only thing standing between me and the basement!
  2. I just checked too. Looks like they have too much traffic. No offense to the decision makers, but I think using fantrax was a mistake. Maybe they'll get their stuff together next year, but they don't seem ready for production yet.
  3. I have Sanu playing, and I was just going to let it go, but if you're offering, I'd prefer to play my intended starter.
  4. Score-wise, I had my worst round of the season. But I had some great company. I was joined by downlowkey and PokeForeLyfe! Both are really good players, and we had a great time despite my struggles off the tee. From left to right: Tod (local friend of mine), PokeForeLyfe, HighFade, and Downlowkey I have no idea how, but this putt did not drop Yeah, these guys can play It's called Pelican Lakes (Oh, now I get it) Poke is pointing to my ball somewhere in the deep rough. again Lots of math going on here And the winner is......downlowkey. Don't spend it all in one place Thanks for a great time, fellas. We should do it again!
  5. And then you'd want 78, and so on. We are all hopeless addicts. But at least we're not alone
  6. This is the worst and best thing I've ever seen. Cannot stop laughing....
  7. Late Entry: I played Sunday, and couldn't find the hole with a two hands and a flashlight on the front 9. But improved on the back and birdied 16,17, and 18 to finish strong. That was fun!
  8. Lead tape. Worked great for me. $8.99
  9. You can have my 3w when you pry it from my cold dead fingers. I use it 6 times a round at least. But my lob wedge? It just got replaced by a 3 iron.
  10. Today and the last week or so, I've been working on backswing. Take the right shoulder and put it behind my back. The rest is just letting go. Working really well.
  11. if you snicker or make fun of your buddy's bad shot, the gods will hear you. Your payback is coming soon.
  12. I went to Vegas for a biennial family reunion. So of course we took dad golfing on Father's Day. Shots of the day: #1 - On a long par 3, I pulled my shot left into the rocks. These are the kind of rock gardens you might see in your neighbor's front yard. I hit a SW from a downhill rocky lie from 30yards, and onto the green to about 20 feet. Missed the putt, but I was really happy with pulling off the shot. #2 - The last hole is a 530 yard par 5 (Revere, Concord if anyone's played it). I hit driver to about 280, where it rolled down an extremely steep fairway towards the green. It finally stopped about 60 yards from the green. I ended the day with a 470 yard drive!
  13. Two recent shots come to mind: 1. Ball landed in a divot. I jokingly asked my partner to turn his back so I could move it. So he rolled it out for me. I said no, I always like to hit these hard shots - it's an opportunity to make a great shot. So I put it back in the divot and pulled off a really good shot. I didn't stuff it, but I did hit it to about 15 feet from that lie. 2. Uphill par 5, decent drive, but my 2nd shot was a peach. 260yd 5wood to 20 feet. Even if I missed my eagle putt!
  14. Two black dots - one on either side of the number. Simple, like me
  15. Cleaning the house all day today in preparation for the kids to visit for Thanksgiving. 3 kids with 3 SOs, Mrs HighFade, and me. The kids like Bud Light, so I stocked the fridge. Bud Light and Star Wars for me tonight.
  16. ...and there's too much at steak.
  17. Another good day on Saturday. Played one of the best courses in Colorado. Rad Hawk Ridge has some serious elevation changes and fantastic views. Tons of fun, but pricey so I don't play there often. I hit everything solid, and had at least 8 birdie putts inside 20 feet. Not one dropped....But I did reach the par 5 18th in two, and rolled in a bending 15 footer to finish with an eagle for a 74. That will bring me back!
  18. Finally had a good day at the course.... The new irons are awesome. Hit it good but couldn't drop a putt. So I decided to play another 18 (wife is out of town). Found my putter on the second 18 and improved my earlier 77 to a 69. It's really a fun game when you know where the ball is going.
  19. Wife is out of town, so today is the first of many holes being played this week. New irons, new course this morning. Hopes are not high, but I'm excited to play again. It's been a while.
