  1. When will the review come out? I need to stock up so I can lose them this summer.
  2. Haven't posted much lately as I have been so busy with things around the house that golf has been on the back burner...but after my round last Friday, I needed to vent! I have only played around 5-6 times this year, but I WAS playing as solid as ever. Well the wheels fell off Friday. My driver, which has been incredibly consistent, was miserable. Popped two up, didn't find a fairway all day. I hoseled 3 wedge shots and was duffing irons left and right. Shot a 44 - 43, which is actually much better than it should have been thanks to some putts that dropped. I am always amazed how my swing can just fall apart for an entire round. I can see screwing up a shot or two a round, but to be that off and feel that uncomfortable just drives me nuts!!!!!!!!!
  3. Last 3 clubs...816 DBD, XR16 3-wood, SM6 Raw 62. The 816 DBD is incredible and a keeper for me. the XR16 is nice, but not going to kick the 910Fd out of the bag, it will be up for sale. The SM6 62 was a novelty, it is pretty sweet but need to gain confidence to hit it. I checked out a Sports Authority in Florida last week and it had 2 golf gloves...that was it for golf equipment.
  4. No sure if you only want a 2016 Driver, but I would strongly suggest trying out the FlyZ from last year (maybe you already have?). I went from an R15/G30 LST/G30 to it and it is BY FAR the longest, most forgiving driver I have owned. I compared it to the F6+ at the range and to me the FlyZ was better in all aspects. As for the SLDR...I hated that dang driver but I have a buddy that hits it amazing!
  5. Not proud to admit this...but I did buy a pair of the Jordan ST Trainers! I bought a pair of TW13s in late 2013 and they were worth every penny, still wear them every round but I figure I spend a ton of $$ on clubs and other crap, why not on shoes?? In all seriousness, it was an impulse buy...but damn they are sooooo comfortable. I am debating on selling them before I wear them out of the house but it is going to be tough not to go play in them.
  6. Well this season ended on a high note! Myself, Casey_0507 and another buddy of ours played in a 2-day Calcutta tourney. Saturday was just horrible, 50* 25mph+ winds and rain all day...and Sunday was the exact opposite, nearly 80* and sunny. Hole locations were similar to a putt-putt course, just missing the clowns mouth and the windmill. Case and point, hole 5 is a long par 5, hole is about 15ft up the hill but there is ZERO chance of stopping the ball. Either hit the putt or it rolls right back off. There was a team that was putting for a birdie 5 and left with a triple...it took them 14 putts. Tee boxes were all the way back and some were even built just for this event to make holes even more brutal. Anyway, we squeezed out a -4 on the first day which got us in the second flight with 16 teams. We bought our team for $250, which we were happy with. Ended up shooting -7 on Sunday to finish 1-stroke back (two teams at -12). We tied with a few teams but won the tiebreakers to finish 3rd. Brought home about $515/person. It is officially deer season here in Indiana and I will not be on the course much until the spring!
  7. So last night my 6mo old daughter woke up around 3:00 am. I woke up to change her before my wife nursed her. When I started this process I quickly noticed that she had a major blow out...crap to the left, crap to the right...basically crap all over the place and it looked really similar of my range session this week. I haven't broke a club in a very very long time, but I was oh so close to testing the durability of KBS Shafts. Needless to say I am not hitting my irons well at the moment.
  8. I actually walked a few times this year for the first time since high school! New baby and the wife wanted to spend time with me...so I bought a carry bag and we would go walk 9-holes once a week...problem solved!
  9. My game is in the dumps. Played last weekend and my front 9 was OK, back nine the wheels fell off. I have noticed (finally) that when I hit a few bad shots, my concentration goes out the window. I don't aim at all, just hope the balls goes in the general direction it needs too...my issue is 75% mental and 25% because I am stupid.
  10. Me and my buddy just bought a couple of new FlyZ hybrids off amazon. Brand new, green heads (matches my driver) for $50. They were senior flex, but I had a Tour Green that I was about to put in a 913HD. Right after we bought them they jumped back up to $100+.
  11. 45-39 for an 84...same course as my last 44-39 with the same holes giving me fits!! Started out bad as I just wasn't loose and a couldn't make myself stay down on my irons. Caught an 8-iron thin on the first sending it OB long. Thinned a wedge on two and again on four, so I was +6 through 4. Got it stabilized enough to get through the front 9 and played much better on the back. What is more upsetting was my putting. Putted really well last night, just didn't make anything. I was hitting my lines but I wasn't reading them right. Left about 6-7 makeable putts out there. Wedge game was great and I drove the ball better than I ever had before (for 18 holes). Oh well...
  12. 44-39 for an 83. FIRs: 6/14 (1/7 front - 5/7 back) GIRs: 8/18 (3/9 front - 5/9 back) Putts: 31 (no 3-putts) Penalties: 4 strokes Had a triple and two doubles on the card, which is never good. Front 9 was brutal. Only 1 fairway, all 4-penalty strokes, and 3/9 GIRs. Fought the driver for the entire 9. Back 9 was much better. Hit a few HUGE drives, played smarter and went 3-wood on tighter 4's. Putter really well all day. 13 two putts, 5 one putts, which I was really happy with. I had a few 40+ foot putts that I snuggled up close. Not happy with the score, but very easily could have been mid-70s had I played smarter on the front. And also, IT WAS HOT AS HELL OUT THERE!!!!!!
  13. Played my first non-scramble round in a month last night. Missed a 4-foot birdie on one and then proceeded to shoot +6 over the next 5 holes. Ended up with a 43 on the front which didn't upset me that much as I felt like I played pretty well just fell victim to some bad luck on a few holes. I got things lined out on the back 9, fired a 35 to shoot 78 for the round. I feel like I should write down things I need to do and read them before playing my round. I found something in my putting a few weeks back and I felt so confident, but on the first 6 holes I wasn't doing it (basically pressing forward before the backswing). I also have the tendency to turn my wrist immediately on my backswing instead of coming straight back. Minor fixes that I honestly just get lazy and forget. Oh well...
