  1. So if that S grind is the same as the Tour Rack custom grind catalog, which it appears to be, this wedge is going to be a winner. However, since it is mid-bounce, it's just not something I'm in on, as my full sole S grind on the bigger bounce from Cleveland is where my strike pattern works best. That grind option though saved my short game and made me kinda retire the Smart Sole.
  2. Morning y'all. Happy to have a day away from the courthouse so I figured so take my car for some routine stuff this morning... turns out routine is not so routine. Brake pads and calipers are shot, which considering I've never changed calipers since buying the car and only pads once with almost 100K on it isn't bad. The downside. Between this and paying my deposit for Kingsmill today, we're looking at a 1500 dollar plus day... woooooo
  3. I'm hoping to put it through full paces for the month or so at a minimum to see what the gains are, and as someone who mentioned during my test of SuperSpeed that I sometimes had trouble with grip control, I'm really interested in seeing how it works. First blush, I know @cksurfdude said he jerry-rigged a version with pipe insulation, but this doesn't feel like that, it's a firm plastic molding. When I start the thread I'll try to make you feel what it feels like.
  4. As someone who is starting the Squeeze protocol and will be doing an unofficial review, I hope to have an intro post about this weekend; I will vouch for it so far as a good aid.
  5. So while I'm not watching the Big Break in prep, I am going through all the benefits I have for organizations and how best to make this a deal-driven vacation, luckily my American Outlaws US Soccer benefits gets me some cheaper car rental rates, so that's a fantastic way to go about it me thinks. As mentioned both in this thread and in our PM, the real benefit of this is the camaraderie, although I do hope to play better golf than at the initial appearance, as I only got it really going on the middle part of the final round. It's not the point really, but you want a good showing!
  6. As a benefit/deterrent, if we do the community with all if us on it on the trip, I will attempt to do it from the lazy river. Me in a swimsuit.... you've all been warned.
  7. Sup everyone, not a great night of sleep, but happier to know that I have a relatively easy day at work to ease me into the week... being what you could consider easy with family court and what not. Also, barring a scoring change happy to have won my work fantasy football league and secured a total payout of 190 bucks from the prize pool of 300. That'll go a good way toward something nice.
  8. So... I'm back in, only if we get access to that Lazy River, this guy needs sweet sweet tube float time after rounds.
  9. it's the actual morning, and it's going to be yet another fun day at court... this is my life, this is my decision. Do good work, best by everyone.
  10. hey everyone, good afternoon I guess. I do have an unofficial review I'm looking to get started this week so keep eyes peeled for that. Outside of that, working through my 2024 word that my family likes to do, consistency. Giving best ffort at work, doing all things as best as I can, and being open and available on a more regular basis.
  11. This was something I thought of a while back, so I'm bringing it back up again: box set test! Or if people are turned off by the idea of Box Set, go with Adams and their complete sets. One could imagine if Cobra Connect comes back again for another year, a competition between those who get fully fit out against those with Adams sets. Also, and I know it's not going to be for everyone, but with the Smart Speaker space growing and golf course music becoming slightly more commonplace, maybe something in that space like from Bushnell, Blue Tees or Precision Pro
  12. So, just to chime in here, I do think with what @GolfSpy_APH is saying here, we can hopefully get to something we discussed in the focus group, which was also the traction of these reviews. By a slower drip of reviews/demanding more engaging content/better quality of the reviewer pool/just less cramming of reviewers into a shorter time frame, it can allow those reviews that really can and should be driven and shaped by questions and thoughts of those reading along the ability to get more eyes and engagement in them, which should only make them better for those taking them on and more informative for those following. As someone who was involved in two recent reviews that seemingly went pear-shaped, one because the company shut down midway through, one due to some self inflicted issues and shortcomings, I understand both the concerns of the reader base and the mods for wanting to get this right and commend them for addressing this in such a manner and style to make sure it happens.
  13. To the new people in charge of this place, welcome and congrats. Keep on keeping on!
  14. No comment from me on my thread, but I will say I did like the functional break out of certain tests depending on selection of testers instead of one bulk thread, so a little pick and choose as to what you wanted to follow was excellent. Case in point, the OnCore threads were fun to track for looking specifically at the style of ball you were intrigued by.
  15. So for me I'll admit my bias and even though it has hampered by injuries, the SuperSpeed thread I thought had some really good content and posts from quite a few of us, but for most fun I'd say the Forum Match-Play thread. It was a nice clean fun time and well run in execution.
  16. At the rate I lose them, not counting the MD trip, I might make it that long... jeez.
  17. Well, yay for me for getting my 5 dozen B-XS this season... this decision is bad and stupid, the committees should feel bad and stupid, and that's all I wanna say about that.
  18. Well, I recommend you check out the 2023 Superspeed thread for my thoughts on the program in general, and that of 8 other testers! My thread on the squeeze will hopefully go live once I get it in hand, and I can center on a training program that works given the height of my basement, and the changing weather in CNY and my plans for life in general!
  19. Patience paid off, and my Superspeed Squeeze has finally been ordered after the 20% off that flashed on Cyber Monday. Looking forward to giving it the unofficial review in a little while to add to the kit from testing this year. Also, finally ordered a laptop after researching for over two years and got the wife her big gift for Christmas, a professional-level document scanner from CZUR for her genealogy research and document preservation, so I'm feeling pretty good right now.
  20. A nice gift if so Rob, thanks to you guys for trying to get all the logistics of this figured out.
  21. Dude, I just got my shipment from Pure when I saw this news... I am livid and also ok at that price. God do I love the Victory/V55
  22. Will echo what @Golfspy_CG2 said about as to these events. Hopefully we can fit the budget and time for this upcoming one. We'll see!
