  1. I'm sure I'm behind the times as I haven't been on the forum much lately, and I know it's near blasphemy to mention that name here, but did anyone actually flip through the Golf Digest Hot List issue? I happened to be in the dentist office yesterday and saw a copy of it so I flipped through it. Their take on the Kirkland ball, along with their new testing policy that is eerily similar to MGS', were both...interesting. Maybe this has already been discussed, or not even worth talking about, but to me it was one more example at the lack of transparency across all media. I hope MGS continues to be as transparent as possible in all their future endeavors. I couldn't find any of the actual text found in the magazine online. If anyone cares enough, I'll send some pics when I get home. Yes, I asked the dentist if I could keep the magazine. I was told, "Fine. Nobody reads it anyway."
  2. I think 'match' is the wrong word. The differences in the numbers was not enough to justify spending $300-400 on a new club. I did eventually end up picking up a SLDR, but mainly for the shaft. The low/forward CG suits me better too. I'll end up with a 2016 M2 at some point...for me, the moral of the story is, how much expendable income do you have to spend on a club? I think that drives decisions for a lot of us.

  4. Some of my best golfing buddies were a result of going out as a single. I got paired with Mark in 2005 and we played together every weekend, at a different course in the metroplex, for three years. I encourage everyone to just get out there and play. You never know who you'll meet. And Foz, that's a great idea. I have honestly never thought to play a 4 ball one man scramble, and my course out here is often empty enough to allow me to do so. I'll definitely try it with a cart though! Sent from my Nexus 5 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  5. I feel your pain! Too much going on right now...wish this had happened a few weeks ago!
  6. Those two would be my choice the mental game. That or Tiger in his prime. Just for fun, though, besides the mental game I'd choose: Driver: Nicklaus Woods: McIlroy Irons: Hogan Short Game: Mickelson/Woods Putting (in order): Nicklaus/Woods/Crenshaw Sent from my Nexus 5 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  7. Great! Only frustrating thing is living on a golf course...but not having time to play golf. Summer's coming, though. It'll slow down soon.
  8. I thought it'd be fun to post here...I've been away for awhile due to the general spring craziness, but I've been lurking. It's good to see familiar faces, along with a ton of new ones. The Kirkland publicity done us good, didn't it? Anyway, look forward to getting involved in some profound conversations...over which putter is truly the best. Good to be back!
  9. I agree with both of those sentiments. I would love to say my wedges are my most important club, but if I follow my stats I realize the only times I shoot higher than my handicap are when I have one or more penalty strokes in a round. Has to be my driver. If it's straight I've got a shot at par.
  10. Looks great! You've got me thinking about doing something similar.
  11. Those are gorgeous! Wish I could jump on them right now. Hope they got to a deserving owner!
