  1. Its gone off the rails on the tee box. I cant keep driver or 3 wood on the reservation. Starts right and turns right. I went out one day and this appeared. Its killing my game. Im hitting 3 off a lot of tee boxes. When I poke it out into the fair way somehow my scores are significantly lower. Hell putting it where I can find it in the rough makes a huge difference
  2. Shot 85 (+13) with 3 bogeys and no birdies... Went par on the first 4 holes including the hole that I have never done better than double on. Then I went double double triple triple... Par'd 9 10 11 12 13 .Bogey 13 par 14 Bogey 15 par 16 bogey 17 par 18 for a plus 13
  3. 47/41= 88. I put my new SLDR into play today. I was hitting parts of the course I have never been. I was at least 15-20 yards longer.I couldnt believe it. It did let me know I need to dial in those wedges though. I hit 11/14 FWs and 4/18 greens. One of those FW misses was a 3 wood I left out right. I missed all of my approaches long. I felt chipping was solid even though I had 34 putts. When you miss greens you cant have 34 putts. My allergies were also TERRIBLE. Even time I looked down for a putt my nose would start running down my face.
  4. I think youre thinking of the C-Tapers. The tours are stepped and also have the chrome finish
  5. I feel these would play really soft to flex for some reason. Are they counter balanced like the KBS Tours are?
  6. Ball striking this weekend was great. The driver was on so were the irons. Only problem was I couldnt make a putt. I think its mental at this point. The golf galaxy near me has a SAM putting lab. I may make a trip to it
  7. I feel weird jumping in the car conversation like... I bought a used cleveland BRZ putter last night for 20 bucks....and yadda yadda intake....Horse power stuff
  8. I dont feel too bad about my most recent purchases. I paid 50 bucks for a classic 270 (A small dent in the heel) and a like new Edel Putter
  9. For some reason I have forgotten how to hit a golf ball. Everything is in the heel so much so it border son a shank. It slike i woke up and forgot how to play. Yesterday was also a tale of two 9's I shot 49(!) on the front and 41 on the back. The back could have been lower too. I was playing decently leading up to my last 3 rounds and the wheels have just come off. I am trying everything. if not for my short game it would have been worse. My wife quilts (Beautiful quilts) and I basically told her it would be like if you were quilting very pretty quilts then suddenly you went to make a quilt and forgot how to do it. They kept falling apart and the lines were all crooked.
  10. Boy Friday was not a "Good Friday". I had been sick all weekend on Tuesday I had a fever hovering around 102. I decided to go out and play whil efeeling about 90 percent or so I thought. I took my first drive and smoked it 265 down the middle. Next shot was a S***K. It was all down hill form there. It was such a disaster. I never felt like I could get my legs under me. I felt tired after hole 4.It wasnt good. The timing was off all day as well.
  11. 9.3. Sadly Trending up. Some good scores are starting to fall off
  12. Are golf tees the biggest problem in the world of golf? No not at all. One thing I can say though is this tee is a better tee. I literally havent lost one in 6 months. I havent broken one in 6 months. I have the same 3 tees I started with. Its a good quality product. I never said plain tees are bad I just like the fact I can use the same tee for 6 months. I have gotten 5 people on the Martini Tee train since purchase. Keep playing with your wooden tee. Between how many shots I take on the range and the course I tend to break wooden tees on almost every drive I hit. That adds up to a lot of tees. I can solve this problem by having the same 3 tees for 6 months. I also find it quite hard to believe youve had the same 5 tees in your golf bag for 5 years or so. I also clearly said I hate buying golf tees. I never remember how many I have or if I have enough to get me through the round. Rather than having to remember that I remember that I have the same 3 tees ive had for 6 months. If you do actually mamage to keep your tees for 5 years then good on you. This product isnt for you but for the average golfer who hates buying tees like I do and never remembers how many they have then its a good product.
  13. If I played at a course that offered up free tees yes the problem would be a whole lot easier to solve. Alas I havent found that course that falls even close to a price I can afford.
  14. It's product review time!!!!! Today I will be reviewing the Martini Tee. This product has been around since 2008.Its an American company that is based in Michigan. They have created a special resin that is "virtually unbreakable".They say virtually unbreakable because anything can happen. I have used these tees for 6 months and I think that's plenty of time to give you a great review. Pros: As I stated above, I have been using these tees for 6 months now. The big point i want to make is the fact I have been using the same 3 tees for 6 months. That's right I have been using 3 tees for 6 months. I have been to the range twice a week and try to get out once a month. These things are indestructible. I saw these when I was working at Dick's Sporting Goods and wanted to give them a try. One of the things I never had before this was tees.l I hate buying them and always forgot about them. This led me to buying a bunch of 50 cent and 1 dollar bags of tees at the course. You know the ones I'm talking about. The ones by the register for slackers like me.Another big thing for me is the size. I like that they are extra long and built for a larger driver. This is a great selling point. Also in regards to the size they are also very thick. It is very difficult to not see it after a drive. I tend to go out to the range when it is dark out. Anyone who has been to a lighted range will tell you it can be difficult to see things outside of the bright area. I have never lost a tee out on the range. They are thick and big enough for me to see it even when the lighting isn't great. Another thing that helps is the colors you can get them in. I have red grips, red head covers, red ball markers, and now red tees. They offer them in almost any color you can think of too. From bright yellow to white and anything in between.Since they are a little thicker I have also found it much easier to push the tee into the hard Texas ground. I also enjoy the fact the special resin doesn't mark up the bottom of my golf club. I recently teed up a ball with a white wood tee and the bottom of my club had a giant mark across the bottom of it. As far as performance goes I have enjoyed a more consistent tee height. The Martini Tee website promises performance gains in terms of distance. I haven't really seen any performance gains but if I am being honest I also was not looking for it. I do not believe a tee can give me an extra 10 yards. I have never ever really bought the hype most plastic tees provide. Cons: This tee has two major cons. The first being the cost of these tees. For a 5 pack of these tees you are looking at $6.50 plus shipping. I bought these when I needed some extra money to get me to free shipping on Amazon. (yes, I have a Prime account. The item I needed didn't qualify) I had wanted to try these and decided to give it a go. Like I said they are steep. Another problem I have found is they go into the ground easy but then stop pretty quickly as well. I cant really use these on a Par 3. This is a little annoying. One thing I will give Martini credit for is the fact they have come out with a 2 inch tee for this very problem. Conclusion: I know these tees can be expensive. 8 bucks for 5 tees is crazy. I also want you to think about the amount of tees you have broken the past 6 months. Also think about how much you have spent on tees in the last 6 months. In that time I have lost 0 tees and have broken 0 tees. This product is worth it. It may sound crazy but this has actually helped me enjoy the game more. I no longer have to stop at the store to grab tees or burn a dollar at the register. I also only have to carry 3 tees. This saves me a ton of space in the golf bag. This may very well be one of the few times where marketing materials speak the truth. Go buy these tees. They provide great consistency and they are truly unbreakable. Final Score: 95
  15. Just bought new wedges. My last round I did nothing but chunk my wedges. Obviously a problem with my wedges and not me. Went to PGA SS and they had the 2014 Nike wedge brand new for 50 bucks. Traded in the Clevelands and they ended up being 40 bucks a pop
