Not sure if someone has ranted about this before and it's not a huge deal, but I work in a pro shop at a local course and unfortunately we don't have a online booking system so all tee times have to be called in. I spend a lot of time on the phone! Anyway here is an example that drives me when ppl call. Me: good morning .... what time roughly were you looking golfing? Customer: right around 10am? Me: I have 9:58! Customer: oh...that's too early do you have anything later? Then they end up going at around 10:30. It happens so often and I know it's small, but when we have the phone ringing as often as we do for bookings it's such a waste of time! And for me I don't care when they go out in just happy they are out on the course! So give me as close to the exact time and I'll do everything I can to accommodate that. But really it's 2 minutes! Anyone ever have one of those day where they literally could barely hit a ball? That was me yesterday and oddly enough it was about the 3rd times it's happened at the same range. This season I haven't done a lot of range time as between working and playing at the course I've got ample rounds and practice in but the other day I figured it would be good to just go work on some wedges and get some distances dialled in the new glide wedges I just got...except I could barely make contact with a full swing. Hozel rockets all around, I couldn't help but laugh. I haven't hit a bad shot like that in a lot of rounds and it didn't really matter the club I took I couldn't make solid contact on a full swing. Part of me thinks it was the matts or who knows. Anyway took a day off today and playing tomorrow guess I'll have to wait and see what shows up! Fingers crossed Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

Right here! June has been much better, but may was wet as all get out and it's normally always pretty windy here in Halifax. Something about being by the ocean I'm told

I'm currently using the Ping i iron. I'd love to know if there really is much of a difference between them. I know behind the ball the i200 look smaller or thinner I should say (just from seeing a few at the local shop) but would they be worth the upgrade?

I have to agree with the good and bad aspects of the club or product. It's usually a good chunk of cash that I'm dropping on a product so I'd rather hear about some dislikes then find it out myself post purchase. I do also enjoy reviews that have data backing and more real on course analysis. It's great to see numbers, but I do find on course experiences more helpful when looking at different products. Range and such is nice, but at least at the courses I play it's not a ton that I get a perfectly flat lie other then on a tee box.Also never hurts to have it broken up with some good looking pictures here and there!

I'm going back out there Thursday for another round and should be able to get some better pictures to post. Definitely has some of the best views in the province.

Just played one of my favourite courses in Chester Nova Scotia. A not overly tough but challenging course with amazing views. Got myself around with a 86 which as always could have been much better or much worse. Either way had a great time with some new ppl.

Interesting day today at the course. We normally have a lot of walkers of all ages as the course isn't that long and there are only a few hills which I would consider a climb. I've only walked the course and find it a good walk. All that being said it was a nice day and the weather started to get hot for here and absolutely everyone took a cart and avoided having to walk. Even ppl finishing 9 were coming in asking for a cart. For reference it was 24C so 76F. Does anyone else find weather plays a big part in whether they take a cart or not? Gorgeous day today. I finally think summer may be here!

The driver is working for the most part. Had a bad day with it today, but that's most certainly me not the club. I do have a few others I'm trying out here and there but nothing has unseated it yet!

Thankfully I haven't run into any dogs that I would say we're out of line or out of control. We have come across a couple not so friendly dogs (our neighbours dog being one of them) and their owners have been great simply saying their dog doesn't play well and we move on. My pup has learned that our neighbours dog is unfriendly and as our yard isn't fenced and I rarely have him on leash at home. he stays away and just watches the neighbours dog while it barks at the end of it's rope desperately trying to get to at him. The rest of the folks in our neighbourhood that have dogs are all very friendly and the dogs romp around and play in a common area right by all the houses.

Figured after I did a good clean on the sticks they would good for my first MGS WIMB. Only carrying 13 clubs right now as I am still figuring out my wedges and whether to potentially throw a 3 iron into the mix. Anyway here goes! It's something that I am looking into likely for next season and am considering now that I am playing a lot more. Even on my home course I'm sure it would help with more exact distances.

Small rant and it's not a huge deal but it was pretty annoying. Earlier today I went to a course with a friend and it wasn't one I had ever played before but heard decent things about it. He has played there once about 5 years ago and really didn't remember the course. We check in and all is good go get warmed up and start the round, but when we walk up the the tee I realize there is no map of the course whatsoever. No hole layout anywhere to be found. Not on their website, score card or at the course. I know there are apps and gps systems that may have the course layout, but I'm a little old fashion and like to see somewhere at the course. I really enjoyed the round and played very well all things considered. It just sucks knowing I left some shots out there simply by not knowing where and when to go for shots with a lot of them being blind. Anyway there is my rant. I always enjoyed reading about golf well everything. In particular club reviews and info on new things coming out. I would say 99% of the time I found MGS to have the best of both.
