This front 9 could have been really special if not for a bad bounce double on No.2. The double on 8 is not horrible. One of the toughest par 5’s around. Enjoyed a peaceful round with our Assistant Suoer. Couese looled great.

  6. On course you are able to hit real golf balls and the ball of your choice. For example, I use both my MLM2Pro and R10 on course. Only once during an actual round, but other times when I've gone out to practice on the course. I feel I get better information by hitting real balls in real course condtions. I did take the R10 a few times during a round, not every hole, only when nobody behind us was insight and it's very easy to pick up and put back down between shots. it's really no different than using a Garmin Z80 or something.

  8. @GolfSpy TCB Our pairings for the week will be: A @Randall Robbins and @Golfspy_CG2 B @SethGolf15 and @USMCSnyper I will most likely be playing my round on Thursday,
  9. When Titleist is at our course in two weeks for fittings. I’m going to have one of the slots for a “long game” fitting. I haven’t done tbey since my trip to PING a few years ago. But after driver and down to 5 iron possibly 6. I need a set up that makes sense. Rogjt now in the bag are the following TSR1 15* G430 18* G430 22* Then rotating in and out are G430 15* TSR2 16.5 and G430 7wood (21*) I think ild really like a TSR1 hybrid around 20 degrees. But I need to find out exactly how far I hit all those and find the ones I’m comfortable hitting.
  10. He’s in automatically as a Top 6 finisher in the Fed Ex Cup standings.
  11. No I has no intention of replacing my Vokey 48, so I don’t bother. But I bet it’s a sweet one
  12. Then I went so far as to start forming the teams Harman and Glover would be a pretty interesting team. Two tough guys who drive an opponent crazy with putting Then just spitballing Keegan and Jordan Cantlay and Schauffle Morikawa and Ricky Brooks and Scheffler Homa and Clark I really like the first four teams the last two could be mixed an matched
  13. I had this conversation (via text) with a buddy a week ago. Here are my thoughts So let’s say the top 8 here are locks. Add Ricky as a 95% lock And say Morikawa and Bradley are pretty certain. That’s 11 If they take JT (which I honestly don’t think he will) then I guess the next man out is young followed by Burns But I honestly think he’ll take Glover over JT and should So that’s my 12 Scheffler Clark Cantlay Harman Schauffle Homa Keopka Spieth Morikawa Bradley Fowler Glover
  14. If there is one club that is firmly in my bag. It is without a doubt my 48* SM9 I’m so confident in it, that anytime I’m laying up short of a green I’ll try for 85 yards out. I just seems to have that swing and distance locked in for it And I’ve gotten pretty good at using it on a 45 to 50 yard pitch shot with a 1/4 swing and getting a one hop and stop or slightly release from it I then go to a 54/58 Next year when the SM10? come out I plan to go to TPI for another wedge fitting and perhaps go 52/56 then depending on Bob or Aaron say
  15. I can answer this one as one of the Beta Tester back in the spring. and it comes directly from Rapsodo. It reads the spin on the Chrome Soft Balls very accurately into a net. Obviously, you are not going to use those balls on the course or range. So Rapsoso says the spin on the course is not as accurate obviously. That said, I have found the numbers on my outdoor range sessions with range balls to be pretty close to number I get on Trackman. So I think they want to under promise spin numbers outside with range balls, as there can be so many variables. but I found it to be very good. It will be interesting to see what the testers see in that regard.
  16. Date 08/24/2023 Course Name Compass Pointe SouthWestg Gross Score 87 Course Handicap 17 Gross Strokes over/under par 15 Net Score to Par -2 Net Score 70 Net Birdies or better 7 Longest Drive 196 The front nine was bad. Nothing felt in sync in swing, It felt off the entire side, I was shocked I got by with a 48 it felt that bad, But the round turned on its head on the 10th tee with a back nine of 39 resulting in my lowest score of the year of 87 and a new career best 9 holes of 39. Just the opposite of the front, everything felt smooth and fairly easy. I keep score on the GHIN app hole by hole, so I don't really have a written scorecard in front of me the entire round. Just enter the score and stats form the current hole nd move on. When I hit review round and saw iN 39, I had to stop and look at each hole again and make sure I didn't skip one....ha The GIR was a big step up from my usual 22 percent to 41 percent I hit 7 on the back nine and the two I missed were not far off. My total putts were 35 but not helped by 19 on the front. I finally found a better rhythm with all clubs and the putter on the back. The 3 puts on 12 and 13 demoralizing. 12 was a par 5, where my 3rd shot from 85 yards was as pure as I can hit my GW. It landed pin high about 5 feet to right of the pin but spun back 25 feet from the hole. My first putt up the hill was a bit strong and had a tricky 4-footer coming back, and it rolled across the edge just teasing me. The 3 putts on 13 was a par 3 from 45 feet, ran it about 6 feet by as it was up a side slope in the green, and the par putt stopped on the lip.
  17. So my "gamer" set is the T350 with the SteelFiber I80 and so far has been solid. When I decided to add the combo portion of T200 and T150 I debated on shafts. Logic says go with the I80 right, so they will be consistent? Well what fun would that be, so I went down that shaft rabbit hole you are speaking of. I went from Lightweight steel like 850GH to premium GD AD75 and everything in between. I really really wanted those AD75, but like you said was it going to make a huge difference in my game especially at my level. So I actually ended up making a practical logical decision, I went with the shafts that were a very close 2nd in my fitting, the Tensei Red. I will tell you they feel noticeably lighter than the Steelfiber. But so far I've only hit some range balls with them, haven't put them in play.
  18. I had two fittings with PXG, one in the PHX store for driver about 4 years ago. It was just just OK, the numbers with the PXG were very similar to my Titleist at the time and he kept trying to spin them in a way that the PXG was better. Then I had and iron fitting at the PXG store in DC area when it opened. It was fantastic, nothing but trying to help me and when the numbers showed the PXG Gen 5 weren't any better than my T300 Ihad a the time, he said there was no reason to buy them other than just wanting new clubs. He knew how to get to me....ha That said, even it paled in comparison to the Titleist fittings I've had, both at TPI and the one locally for these T350.
  19. So I'm sure in your fitting with Jim? He mentioned that they are looking for the 3 D's in a fitting. That I think is the cornerstone to all their fittings with this series. For those that haven't been to a Titleist Fitting the Three D's are: Distance Gapping: The ideally want 5 mph difference between each subsequent club. So, say your 7-iron ball speed is 100, they want your 6 iron to be 105 and your 8 iron to be 95 and they try to fit to that. Dispersion: Speaks for itself, see Ole Grays trackman chart for the circles how tight the landing spot of each shot is. Descent: They are looking for the ball to be coming into the green on a no less than 45-degree angle, ideally somewhere around 46 to 47, that along with the spin will assure it stopping on the green versus landing and running out. So total distance of the iron isn't be all end all they are looking for in fittings. As Ben said above, if it happens to come along then that's fine, we'll figure it out as well.
  20. I just go with what the fitter says, and the ultimately decide, that is a really good setup and it works for me. But this other setup sounds fun and wonder what it would be like, so additional clubs and shafts get ordered
  21. The testers have started posting their intros and fitting experiences. So follow them here
  22. I can’t speak for everyone. But we get great service at our course from Fed Ex. Rarely ever a delay from the scheduled arrival date. And when there is, it’s usually due to weather somewhere in the route.
  23. I had mine out for a 9 hole round on Wednesday night, and supposed to be 18 hole round Thursday that got cut short to 9 holes. So early results are promising, nothing Breaking News wise, like I didn't drain a 35 footer on my first putt with it. But on the other hand, during the Wed 9 hole round, my regular playing partner didn't say to me..."What the hell are you thinking, where's your Scotty?" So I must not have embarrassed myself. The stats were 19 putts, which is definitely a bit high for me, but as I have mentioned in some other threads, on Wed night I play the white tees in this league, which are a bit long for me. So I'm not coming into greens with a low iron or wedge, often a hybrid or even fairway wood in some cases, so I'm not likely to hit too many close. I did have two three putts, those were just horrible reads on how uphill two greens were on my first putt. The good news, is no missed "gimmies" like 3 to 4 feet. The putter is actually very stable in this way. Will get out more with it this week and also hope to get some stats on it from EX Putt
  24. Great fitting recap Ole Gray, I felt like I was right there beside you. The Titleist fitter that has fit me for my last 2 sets of irons and driver retired shortly after my fitting in June...hmh? Should I take anything from that But it sounds like a road trip to Athens to see Adam for the TSR fitting next summer, might be a thing. Sounds like a great guy to work with. But in truth just about everyone of the Titleist fitters I've run across are fantastic.
