  1. Good! You have time to edit it. You shouldn’t blame the innocent……Titleist uses Fed Ex. Poor Brown gets enough grief
  2. Lol. I actually love that one. I was just busting your chops
  3. You again The orders go to Titleist first thing Monday. There was one little detail to work out before hand. That was, we were voting on whether it’d be funny to “accidentally” have Ben’s order come with shafts 2 inches short and 35g Answer to come soon enough
  4. Seems odd that you seem surprised about the 4 way top and how 4 way bags are meant to be lightweight but in no way a Sunday bag. Didn’t you realize there would be 3-4 clubs in each slot? I have a bit different setup than you, I find tbd flowing works well P,58,54,48 P,9,8 / 7,6,5 4h,7w,5w,D Thats very easy for me to keep them in order And I have midsize grips on most clubs and yes they do occasionally get tangled going in But nothing that is a real inconvenience I I generally don’t carry more than 6 balls and always take them out of the box and sleeve. That way no need to mess with that during the round if I need a new ball sorry to hear your disappointed as Stitch makes a great product You just have to realize what it’s designed for. in any company PING among them yo he’ll find a big difference between a 14 way DLX and the Hoofer I know as I have both and use them differently
  5. TITLEIST INTRODUCES NEW PERFORMANCE ALIGNMENT ON PRO V1 AND PRO V1x GOLF BALLS FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (Aug. 18, 2023) – Many of the world’s best players – including major champions Scottie Scheffler, Lydia Ko, Matt Fitzpatrick, Celine Boutier, Wyndham Clark and Allisen Corpuz – mark their Titleist golf ball with a long, straight line that helps them with alignment. Titleist’s new Performance Alignment aid – now available on Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls, the overwhelming #1 ball on the PGA TOUR, LPGA and at every level of competitive golf – provides golfers with this tour-proven marking straight out of the sleeve. Available in black, red, blue and green, the Performance Alignment aid is designed with a subtle arrow shape, 105 degrees in length, custom printed on each golf ball opposite the Pro V1 or Pro V1x sidestamp. The marking is 60 percent longer than a standard Titleist sidestamp. “Performance Alignment emulates how many of the best players in the game mark their Titleist,” said Jeremy Stone, Vice President, Titleist Golf Ball Marketing. “The benefit of players marking their golf ball with an alignment aid – specifically a long, straight line – is evident across all levels of competitive golf and plays a significant role in helping them improve their aim and accuracy.” Additionally, Titleist offers more than 40 different alignment aid designs through custom order on Titleist.com. INSPIRED BY THE WORLD’S BEST A long, straight line is one of the most common markings found on the Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls that are put in play across the worldwide professional tours, helping players take dead aim and hit their start-lines with confidence. “I use a black line, because I cannot putt without this,” said Pro V1 player Viktor Hovland. “I literally cannot aim.” “I’ve just never been good at just standing over the ball and being able to aim that way,” Hovland said. “I’ve found it’s really helped my putting, especially on the short ones, when there’s not too much break involved. I just did a blind test with a line on and then without a line, and I just aimed it miles better with a line on.” • Leona Maguire (Pro V1): “I start off with a blue line. I like a line on my ball for putting, for lining up my putts. I’ve done it for a long time now so it’s an essential part of my routine.” • Ally Ewing (Pro V1x): “I choose to putt with a black line. It helps me confirm my target and really put away the thought of where I’m rolling the ball.” • Stewart Cink (Pro V1x): “To me, the alignment line, it just takes away that little bit of doubt that you might have when you put your putter down behind the ball and you aren’t 100% sure where you’re pointing it. We work really hard on where we’re starting the ball on our putts. And the alignment line helps make sure it takes that one piece of variability out.” A sampling of tour players who mark their Titleist with a long, single line: PGA Tour: Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Will Zalatoris, Justin Thomas, Wyndham Clark, Matt Fitzpatrick, Billy Horschel, Sungjae Im, Viktor Hovland, Sahith Theegala, Joaquin Niemann, Mito Pereira, Harris English, Ryan Palmer, K.H. Lee, Stewart Cink and Scott Stallings. LPGA: Lydia Ko, Celine Boutier, Allisen Corpuz, Patty Tavatanakit, Pajaree Ananarukarn, Pauline Roussin, Nanna Koerstz Madsen, Alexa Pano, Leona Maguire, Gaby Lopez, Ally Ewing, Matilda Castren, Jodi Ewart Shadoff, Danielle Kang and Emily Pedersen. PRO V1 and PRO V1x PERFORMANCE & TECHNOLOGY: The 2023 Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls set the standard for tee-to-green performance and consistency through advanced core technologies validated by the best players in the world. Pro V1 and Pro V1x are engineered with high gradient core designs that deliver lower long game spin for increased distance and a more consistent flight – helping golfers hit the ball longer and straighter while maintaining the Drop-and-Stop greenside control that Pro V1 and Pro V1x players rely on to play their best. 6. In addition, I have had them in play for about a month now, so if you have any questions let me know. I'll be posting an update on them sometime today hopefully.
  7. Ok the anticipation is over. Putter arrived yesterday during a monsoon. So had to wait until today for the unveiling. I had to stare at it like this for 3 hours yesterday. Yes I do have work to do Finally today the stuff you want to see And a neat built in feature that will be good for those days where you’re just too tired to bend over So no lie. My first two putts with it. I wanted to get the feel of a 40 foot lag putt Yes I did say first two putts. And yes you only see 1 ball. The first putt!! You can figure the rest out. Will be putting it in play in less than an hour for league play. Stay tuned!!
  8. Awesome!! Glad to have you on the team! First time for all of us doing this. So we'll all learn and WIN together ! Glad to have you on the team! With a user name like that, I'm glad you're on my side for sure! Along with @Randall Robbins we now have complete team. So I guess we need a catchier name thant Team CG2 So I'm open to suggestions, each one of you throw one out and we'll vote on it!
  9. Really? That’s your idea of congratulations? I won’t be as polite as @GolfSpy_APH was. These members didn’t “win” anything. They will spend hours upon hours over the next 4-6 weeks not only playing these clubs, but writing about them and answering hundreds of posts and questions about them. Something that require a lot more than making 7 posts in over 2 years of being on the site. One of them just joined the forum this spring, but has epitomized the very example of what an engaged and contributing member is. @GolfSpy_APH suggested reading the thread on how to become a tester. But fully realizing that will take a few more minutes than it did to make an uninformed bitter post about not “winning” I don’t expect you to actually do so. A little less cynicism and more participation will serve you better in the long run.
  10. as @GolfSpy_APHsaid, we will work with getting them setup with the best fitting possible for their location. I have been to TPI Oceanside and went through a full fitting there for the last version of TSeries. Just recently I was fit by the Regional Rep for Titleist and hit the entire lineup of new series. I’ve posted a bit here and will again once the official thread is kicked off. But feel free to ask me anything you may be wondering about
  11. If @GolfSpy TCB hasn't placed you yet, I'd love to have you, anyone that can play those Nike Blades gets my No. 1 spot I had a couple other invites out but haven't heard back, so you're in if you get back to me before they do.
  12. Yep, my bad on reading comprehension. I'm sure that makes a great selling point for a Captain looking to round out a team
  13. @Davidm0302 Just so we don't overfill the team, it was actually @David Staller I put the call out to. But if he gets snagged or has a moment of clairty and goes to another team, you're my next David up!
  14. David, wanna join the team nobody saw coming (that would be my team...just in case there is any doubt ) I'm going to recruit @SethGolf15 as he's in JAX area and would give us another deadly duo with @Randall Robbins to complete the team! What'ya say!!
  15. I know better than to go to war with a Texan. Foz will be in good hands with you. I concede!
  16. Wanna join Team CG2 (only our temporary name). @JohnSmalls have you joined a team yet I missed you in Pinehurst but here’s another chance for us to team up!
  17. Wanna be the no1 pick for team CG2? Quote my post a couple above this one and we are off to a strong start.
  18. Well I don’t bring a single digit handicap so I have to bring something
  19. Ok I got a late start so instead of taking even more time to read all 5 pages that I’m behind. I’m confident I can take any 3 remaining players from the list and lead us to victory. So I’ll put out the call of arms….or sticks in this case. The first three to reply to this post in order will be part of team CG2 and to seeeten the pot will get a little Titliest gift as a welcome to the team. Yeah, I’m not above bribery #LetsGoLetsGo
  20. Well, we'll both have to keep waiting, another day of Fed Ex coming and going, and no EVNROLL Box I've had two orders of Titleist irons ordered after those, that have both arrived...but Im sure it'll be worth the wait.
  21. Waiting on my delivery as I understand these shipped last week. And it can't get here fast enough as I had a round of 41 putts on Thursday, hard to believe putting is the strength of my game with that result. But I putted very well with the EVNROLL EVR11 during my fitting, so very much looking forward to it.
  22. I’m guessing many of you already know as much about me as you care to. But for the newcomer, I’ll try not to bore you too much. My name is Rob, the screen name is a shortened version of CarolinaGolfer2, which was my screen name before becoming a staff member. I live in the Baltimore/Annapolis/Washington DC area, kind of in the middle of all three. I live with my Fiancé Michelle we have been tighter for 28 years but don’t have any kids. By default, I am a Washington football fan, still have a hard time calling them the Commanders, and Nationals and I’m a mild Capitals fan. But I spent many of my after college years in the Chapel Hill/Raleigh area, thus the screen name. The Maryland area is great for golf, we get to play 12 months of the year, even though we may run into a few of snow closings in January or February. By day, I’m the Tournament Sales Director at a 36-hole course in Maryland. I run over 150 outings a year and it keeps me very busy. But somehow, I have managed to play a fair amount of golf, and demo a few clubs here and there My experience in the industry has allowed me to take some fantastic trips to most of the major OEM’s and attend the PGA Show just about every year (pre covid) and meet some incredibly smart and wonderful industry people. Pictured Below with an extra 60 pounds vs now, I'm with Josh Talge the Director of Marketing for Titleist and a huge fan of MGS I found the site in a bit different way than others who found it searching reviews of clubs. in 2016, I came across a rather “spirited” twitter exchange between Adam and someone. I found Adam’s points very strong but very well made and seemed to make sense to me. Prior to that I had only heard of MyGolfSpy as being a rogue site that specialized in putting out leaked or unauthorized photos of new equipment. Just goes to show, you certainly can’t believe everything you read on the internet, especially when it’s a competing website/forum. So, I looked at the article in question, can’t recall what it was now, but it was typical MGS style, making you not take for granted what the industry has always said. I noticed the forum tab and jumped over there. I found it to be very friendly, but also very lacking in participation. I mean I read pretty much 4 months’ worth of posts within the first couple hours, and a couple days in, I had read pretty much everything back for several years. You could go an entire day on the forum and see maybe 40 or 50 posts in the entire forum. My how things have grown and changed. Thanks to all the great members here! I was lucky enough to be picked for a test after about two weeks of being a member, I was shocked. It was for the Precision Pro Golf Band. An early version of a GPS watch, although it was more of a Fit Bit style than watch. About 6 months later I was one of the original EVNROLL Testers along with JLukes @revkev and @fozcycle, which was a great experience, and really confirmed to me what a great community this was. Below is a shot of two of my bags after the 2016 EVNROLL testing, yeah, It's not uncommon for me to have two different bags, these happened to have be two of my all time favorite setups I first became a staff member in 2017, I believe and a year later became Co Director of the Forum with @STUDque Last year, I stepped back from the role due to the workload at my day job and became more of a as needed on call Moderator. I have stayed on to help with things like the Major Contests or any other special contests/projects. I have organized the first two official MGS National Outings in 2022 in Maryland and this year in Pinehurst. We grew from 12 in 2022 to 16 this year, I think. I’m hoping for a bigger and better one in 2024. I have said many times over and over, the members here are the best asset we have. They require very little moderation and allow the staff time to focus on things they want to do to try and make it the best forum in the industry. I have met many members and made several friends here, I travelled to Ohio to join s small group there for a round of golf and some incredible pizza! I played with Foz in Florida, and went north of the border to play with Ball Coach Jeff along with Matt from TXG. And one of my more unforgettable rounds was with @ole gray and his wonderful wife Kelly Bo while I was visiting the folks at Bridgestone a few years back I have had the T350 in play for about a month but wanted to contribute along with the testers in this thread. I’ll post my fitting experience separately #LetsGo LetsGo
  23. Jamie my thoughts can be summed up simply as, You were the perfect person at the perfect time. It’s not hyperbole to say you saved the forum. Those who were here the first half of 2022 know how it was. As for me getting continually getting sucked back in as you say, we’ll I can’t quit you . I appreciate you letting me hang around and help when I can I won’t tag them all. But the group of MODS we have are 2nd to none in my time here. The things you all accomplished on a “side gig” I’s unbelievable. Here’s to an even better Year 2!
