We are expecting the coldest winter in years, we had a cold snap over the last couple of days and there was snow to low levels about 200 km south of us.

Love it Gaussman and I really like the look of the forged set of yours.

I totally understand, I rented some clubs a month back and it felt like the heads were twice the weight of my clubs even though the main difference was in the weight of the shaft!

Played 18 today, went 45/40 for an ordinary 85 (par 73). Spent the whole round fighting my tendency to slide my hips rather than turn.

Nice start Lefty, keep hitting the gap wedge like that and you will soon be reaching you goals!

Great stage one!! How do the shafts in the C300 compare to your D200? Are they the same flex, heavier or lighter and are they the same length?

Played awful today, only three pars. Couldn't hit an iron to save myself and my brain was just scrambled. Oh well there's always next time.

Got to play a different course today, proper links but no wind. I am away from home and didn't have my clubs, gloves or shoes but had a blast. Shot 87 on a par 71 (46-41)and had a nice run of pars in the middle. Thought that wasn't too bad with weird hire clubs.

I too have never split a ball on the course but have had couple fly apart in a sim

I vote for pinnacle and top flite but they were the ball I used when I first started playing in the 80s. On another note I watch a guy today trying to hit a Taylormade TP5 and it looked like he was hitting a rock with no dimples. His swing was way to slow to hit that ball.

Beautiful day today, terrible golf though. Had only 4 pars and 1 birdie to go with 9 bogies and 4 others "shudder". The one birdie was on a par 3 and gets me $10 so that eased the pain.

Thanks mate, we are coming into Winter here so I will be taking it easy. Looking to get fit rather than tons of after work practice.

First proper round after my back injury, staggered to an 86 but had plenty of positives.

Try to always walk, I have a great push cart that makes life easy so why wouldn't I.

Disaster in my club champs final. I hurt my back during the week and thought I was ok but I suffered back spasms on the 6th hole and had to withdraw

Played the club champs semi final today. Managed to win on the 19th after being two down with three to play. 36 hole final next Saturday.

Played the first two rounds of match play in the club champs yesterday and won both. Didn't play well but did enough for a 1 up in the morning and a 2/1 in the afternoon. So I am on to the semi final next Saturday.

Shot 83 yesterday which is 10 over par at my course, started with 44 and came home in 39 with two short birdie putts missed so it could have been better. First round of club champs match play tomorrow and i am feeling confident.

Just bought a Callaway Fusion driver 10.5 with the one inch shorter Recoil shaft. I keep hitting the middle of this club and I have gained distance!
