  1. I played Maxfli when I was younger and even play the irons. Loved them back then and excited they’re back on the market as a strong contender.
  2. You chased the tougher matchups for QBs right? Same could be said for RB/WR/TE. Hoping they don’t have huge games correct? Bc we need to fill a complete roster still, just crazy good points for punters, kickers and DST (if played right!). Very interesting, never played in a league like this. Only different league I played was our Pirate league. If you win you would “pillage” (trade) a player from the opposing team if you won (no questions asked if you win). Similar to Vampire but everyone drafts at the same time from the same pool. Can’t “pillage” 1st or 2nd round players. We learned that the hard way and it was deflating once you lost CMC, DHenry, etc. Looking forward to trying something new!
  3. The 8 starts is what gets me. How do you juggle that? Guess that’s the million dollar question huh?!
  4. Looks like it didn’t update but it should be good now.
  5. I just updated bc I was using the wrong handle. It’s Crossroads Golf. I just posted an update for myself so everyone knows. I am open to trades, just want to see what my team looks like the first couple of games before I start trading parts away.
  6. Couple of things: For those of you sending me trade offers, I apologize if I haven’t sent back a reply along with the decision. I’ll do a better job at that so you know what’s going on. I don’t regularly check the forum during the week. My new teaching job has made me in the evenings making dinner, doing some work and maybe a little Clash of Clans before bed. I don’t check anything else. You can contact me through Fantrax chat as I have the notifications on and Slack once I figure out how to join. As for trading, I believe no player is untouchable and welcome offers. But as we haven’t seen a game yet I’m holding off until I can see my team in action and re-evaluate from there (unless the offer is just amaze balls!). As of now I like my team (even though I was late on the QB train) and would like to update my receiving core. Does anyone have the Slack channel name so I can join? I haven’t been able to find it anywhere! This is my first foray with Fantrax, and am still getting use to it and all its features and using a FAAB system. What’s everyone’s opinions on the recent acquisitions of players that used so much FAAB? It’s hard to evaluate how much a player is worth and if you’re wasting your money. Guess it doesn’t do you any good if you have any FAAB left at the end of the season anyway. Thanks for reading and letting me squabble. I look forward to the season and what a 58 team league is like season long!!
  7. Not true! Albeit others have tried, especially @blackngold_blood ! Lol
  8. My goodness, very thankful no one was hurt. Be safe out there.
  9. What is the best way to view Fantrax? Website either through phone or desktop or the app? Still getting use to Fantrax and everything it has. Pretty overwhelming compared to the others (ESPN, Sleeper, etc). Any advice is helpful and welcome!!
  10. Same, this will more than make up for a league I ran that disolved this year.
  11. So excited for football again! How many leagues does everyone play in? Including this, would be 3 leagues (I run 2 of them ).
  12. Hole In One badge please! Granted I got it when I was playing everyday in high school and taking lessons, but it came during a practice round with the golf team and I have 3 witnesses! It all counts as the same no matter how long ago it was, right?!
  13. DAB2AC57-4C87-4FF6-8C03-CEC88E10AC82.mov How's it going everyone?! Been on MGS off and on for a couple years, but I want to formally introduce myself! Video is from a round of night golf at Beacon Lakes GC in League City, TX. They have a fully light 18 hole course. Lights kick on around 6:30ish and once it's almost too hard to see the ball, boom, the lights illuminate the fairways and greens. Do not go in the trees, you won't find anything! Picture is of me standing on the 16th green of the Black Pearl GC in Roatan, Honduras. My family took a cruise 2 years ago and this was one of my excursions with my girlfriend and father. It was my first tropical golf course experience and it was magical! Beautiful course, but what else would you expect from Pete Dye!! How long have you been playing golf? What's your handicap or normal score? I've been playing golf since I was 4 years old (so 31 years) when my dad would take me out to play with him and my uncle. My current handicap is 7, my lowest was 3.4 when I took lessons through middle school and high school (golf was my life during those year and lived at the course). What do you love about golf? I love golf because it is an individual and team sport (team being who you play with and the people you meet!). You can be alone out there by yourself and your thoughts or you can bring others along, or meet strangers at the course and be friends by the 18th green. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know other Spies? I first learned about MyGolfSpy years ago through their product testing and blunt reviews of product. Now with their ball lab series, virtual tournaments and giveaways and testers, it's a one stop shop for everything golf! I only know Spies that I have told about MGS and they joined! Where are you from? What is your home course? Currently live in Houston (30 min E of downtown) and home course would be Newport GC (course in our neighborhood. Originally from Indiana and home course there was Trophy Club or Golf Club of Indiana. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Best thing about golf in my region is you can play year round! Love that, even though the course conditions may not be optimal, but playing is playing especially when I use to live in snow 3-4 months of the year! Worst things is the heat through the summer. Afternoon golf is unbearable, so peak tee times are early morning or late evening. Night golf is a blast though and highly recommend if you have not played! What do you do for a living? For a living I'm a Special Education teacher! How'd you pick your user name? When I moved to Houston and started making friends, one of the first friends I made is now my go to golfing buddy and together we created a social media golf account (Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok) to connect and show courses we play to the world. We're called Crossroads Golf because Indiana's state nickname is the Crossroads of America. Also golf allows you to meet individuals from all walks of life and I felt that naming our social media that was a great moniker for our topic, GOLF!
  14. What a phenomenal experience to try them! Thanks Titleist and MGS!
