  1. About a month ago or so I bought a Titleist 15 cart bag because i wanted more storage space for extra clothing , snacks and extras like gloves, sleeves of balls and other accessories , the past 2 years i used a Sun Mountain C 230 bag which is a excellent bag however i wanted more storage space , I also tried a 10 inch staff bag but the bag was heavier than i wanted to move back and forth from the car back into the house which i could do 25 years ago but not now and with permanent shoulder / rotator cuff issues I just couldn't do a staff bag any longer , I chose the Titleist bag because of the reviews about the extra storage and the ample club room and 15 slots to place clubs in and with the price of bags rising I was able to get the Titleist bag at a great deal so i bought it when I did
  2. Well i will be starting the season with new Ping I 525 irons , a Ping glide 4.0 47 deg. wedge and Ping glide 3.0 eye 2 54 bent to 52 degree and a Ping glide 3.0 eye 2 58 degree wedge bent to 57 degree's and going back to a Verticle Groove 12 degree driver but i will be probably be changing drivers again at some point and I am going away from fairway woods and adding a Callaway Epic super hybrid 16 degree's , my bag is static and subject to change on a whim , even i would like to keep the same clubs all season chances of that happening are pretty slim however only the shadow knows
  3. I have a simple go to grip for all woods , irons and wedges, Golf Pride tour velvet, for me it just doesn't get any better than a tour velvet grip
  4. I actually have 2 big pet peeves, first is players not fixing their pitch marks on the green and 2 is not replacing their divots in the fairway
  5. Currently i am using Ping glide 3.0 eye 2 60 degree bent to 58 degree's and Ping glide 3.0 eye 2 56 degree wedge bent to 54 degree and Ping glide 4.0 / 46 degree bent to 47 degree's ans the lie angle is 63 degree's on all of the wedges mentioned
  6. I know that i tried every fairway wood known to man with only limited success and when i reached my 60's in age i realized that it was not the club that was the problem it was the knucklehead at the grip end of the club and even though i had wood specific lessons and i practiced on a regular basis taking what i thought were positive practice habits to the course turned out to be frustration personified and as i said in a earlier post out of every 10 times i hit a fairway wood off grass at most i would 2 or 3 solid & where i aimed and the others were either sliced , smothered in a big duck hook to the ground or i would chunk the shot or hit it on the ground in front of me , off the tee i was fine and could ht the ball solid , strange but true and i wish that i had more confidence but i do not and at this point golf is meant to be fun and losing interest for me is not really a option and i am looking forward to playing sometime in April
  7. Me and fairway woods have been a 35 year plus love / hate relationship with it being mostly hate because for every 10 times i tried to use them from the fairway / rough i would hit them solid 2 maybe 3 times so it was a no brainer to not use them off the grass period however the 3 wood off the tee i would hit solid on average 7 out of 10 which i call acceptable and for the most part it was the reason to keep a fairway wood in the bag but with me at 67 years old i have been moving up to the senior tees and i can get solid / quality ball striking with a hybrid so for the 2024 golf season i will permanently stop using fairway woods and go exclusively with hybrids only , i have more confidence with a hybrid so it is time to make a permanent switch , golf is meant to be a fun experience and i will move in a direction to have fun this year moving forward .

  10. GaDawg ... i used a electric cart for 25 years & my last 6 walking seasons with a Kangaroo cart and the cart was a absolute tank that would go pretty much anywhere and i only had minimal problems , the only detriment was the price , $2100.00 but otherwise if i was still walking i would be still using the Kangaroo .
