Patpott's Achievements

  1. Has anyone bagged the 17 and 19 degree together? Just wondering if there was any noticable yardage gap between the two.
  2. Callaway Jaws Raw with black finish (54 w 10.5 bounce and 58 w 12X bounce). Callaway Apex Pro '21 A wedge to fill the gap between between pitching wedge and the 54.
  3. I've got a 3-wood, 2Hybrid, and a 5Hybrid. I'm a convert to playing a hybrid over the long iron equivalent because they are just so easy to hit and they come down so softly.
  4. My Top 10 courses list: Heavily influenced by weather and the company I was keeping 1. Royal Portrush 2. Royal County Down 3. Murfield 4. Old Memorial 5. Canterbury Golf Club 6. Coldstream Country Club 7. Camargo Country Club 8. St. Andrews 9. Gold Mountain 10. Bethpage (Black)
  5. I play Callaway 2016 Apex irons and a mixture of Ping and Vokey wedges. I'll switch when a fitter tells me that they aren't right for me any longer.
  6. I haven't joined a private club because of the expense, but I'm definitely getting closer. My reasons for joining would be: 1. Avoiding the once a year golfers who decide they would like to tee off at 8 a.m. Of course there is a different group every weekend. 2. Avoiding the 7 minute tee time gaps and the groups that aren't listed on the tee sheet. 3. Having the course care more about conditions than shoving as many groups out on the course as possible.
  7. While I love listening to music I don't want it on the course. I play on a public course and the occasional group will have it blaring so it can be heard as they play the hole behind. I would hope people wouldn't find yelling on the course acceptable, so why would playing music at a loud volume be acceptable.
  8. I think the golf industry has finally hit the limits of pricing. Personally, I reached my limit a few years back (Ping G400) as to what I'm willing to pay for a driver. I don't mind paying to get fit, but I'm more than willing to wait for a price/condition/specifications combination on Ebay before taking the plunge.
  9. Chris, Those are both really nice courses. I got to play them both many years ago. Thanks, Pat
  10. I'll have to look at that one. I've played Wild Horse Golf Club in Gothenburg, NE and it was outstanding.
  11. Is anyone still trying to play the Top 100 public courses? If so, has anyone found any bargains this year? Thanks, Pat
  12. Does anyone know if May River and Daufuskie Island's Haig Point are public access courses? I'm planning on being in the area and was interested in checking one or two of them off of my list.
