Testers Wanted! TItleist T-Series Irons!

image.png

Yes, you read the title correctly. MyGolfSpy needs four golfers to test, review and keep a full set of the new Titleist T-Series Irons.

While these have been on TItleists Tour Validation period for the last month or so, the official launch to the general public is August 3rd. Now is when we get to find out all the nitty gritty details about what’s under the hood of this series of irons.

For full details check out this link - https://mygolfspy.com/news-opinion/titleist-t-series-irons/

This is the third generation of T-Series Irons from Titleist since they moved on from the AP lineup. This generation of T-Seriers introduces two “new” irons to the lineup in the T150 (replacement for the T100S) and the T350.

Here is a breakdown highlight of the series.

Titleist T100 - The most played iron on the PGA Tour there wasn’t much to change from the previous version. However Titleist worked to improve the feel, create tighter dispersion and updated the variable bounce sole.

Titleist T150 - One of the “new” models the T150 retains the looks and progression that the T100 made but with a slightly thicker topline and slightly wider sole to create a more forgiving package while retaining improved ball speeds by an updated Muscle Channel.

Titleist T200 - A non-clicky backplate! However in all seriousness the T200 for 2023 is where some big improvements were made. With some updates to the topline and finish the T200 retains the same size as the previous version with what will likely be a more appealing look. Titleist have moved the speed boosting Max Impact Core closer to the heel and face of the golf club to improve sound and forgiveness.

Titleist T350 - The replacement for the T300, the T350 comes in a package that matches the rest of the T-Series much better. It is a larger, more forgiving iron than the T200 and for Titleist is their Ultimate Game Improvement Iron.

Also included for two of the selected testers will be a Titleist T200 Driving Iron or a Titleist U505 Driving Iron.

This would be incredible. I have a few months ago decided to take lessons for the first time after with golfing with a friend of mine whose a PGA Caddie. I've been around a 12 handicap with no lessons ever taken. So I am now a few months into lessons and realize I really need to upgrade my irons. This would be a cool chance to test out these irons while in lessons so my teacher can give some honest feedback as well.

Plus I’m trying out new irons right now and getting 10-15 yards more in distance so would love to try new irons.

Here’s a video to capture attention and then my post/story below:

I normally would be very reluctant to change or even test irons that aren’t my trusty AP2’s without going through a full fitting with some additional sim time. But I recently was on a work trip and ended up with an unexpected free afternoon in Breckenridge Colorado… so I did what any sane person would do and drove up to the Keystone Ranch course just north of Breckenridge. It was a beautiful course, breathtaking views, and well kept. I couldn’t recommend it enough for anyone who finds themselves in Colorado. But since I wasn’t planning to golf I was forced to rent clubs... And boom, by default I was testing new clubs that weren’t my own. The set I was testing were all Callaway rouge ST Max LS clubs and I have to admit I liked how they felt. Not every shot was great.. did I shank a few? Of course. Did it take me about 9 holes to have any idea how far my clubs went? Absolutely. But I had enough real good shots that it made me question if it was time to switch up not only my gaming irons but which brand clubs I played 😱. I’ve played Titleist irons for awhile now and I’ve only played TM before that so I was quite surprised I liked the Callaway irons that much. But it was fate I rented clubs because this test popped up the next day. That was a long story just to say that now would be the perfect time for me to test out new Titlesist irons because I already had that bug planted in my head that it might be time to switch up clubs from my unexpected round in Colorado.

Attached are a few videos and pictures from Keystone Ranch and then my ideal Titleist irons and driving iron. For anyone who made it this far I hope you enjoyed the views!

That would be an awesome way to test out some new irons! I’m sure coach would be happy and mad that I’m switching up clubs in the middle of lessons 😂😂

Dream specs on the irons:

T350 - 5 through 48*
Stiff KBS tour shaft w/ standard grip

Utility specs:

U505 - 4 iron - stiff KBS tour shaft w/ standard grip

Regardless of the outcome of this test, this is the #1 iron set I want to hit in the off-season. After 7 years with the Ping G-30’s, I’m due for an upgrade.

As a low 20’s (but steadily improving) handicap), I have to be realistic with myself and know that I’m still a “game improvement” iron type of player.  Over the past year I’ve tried several new drivers and 3 woods and the TSI’s have found their way into my bag.  I’ve never been a brand specific golf club guy, but I’m impressed with everything from Titleist that I touch and would love the opportunity to give these irons a shot.

Thanks in advance for the outstanding opportunity.

If I’m being honest, I hit the old T200 irons back in 2021. Would love to test the full set out and compare them to my PXG irons I have now.

Let’s break this down.
11,000 entries I like round numbers.
4 Models so 2750 each

T350 actually only has 12% not a full 25% of the total entries

So 1320 entries  and close to 900 of those that don’t meet the qualifications

so really about 1 in 420 chances.

Kinda makes you wanna run out and buy a Mega Millions doesn’t it 😂

Well, I had 2 trees get struck by lightning in my yard 2 days in a row. I’m feeling pretty lucky for the T350s or the utility.

LOL I definitely went out and bought some tickets figuring my chances of winning the jackpot were roughly the same as being selected as a tester. But if I win the mega millions I’ll buy you, your family, and your regular golf buddies whatever clubs they all want and a lifetime supply of balls 😂

My guy has honestly told me I need better irons. I’m at the driving range of course often and then a few lessons in right now. I think he’d really appreciate me trying out the new clubs so he could tinker more. Ha

Ha! Right? New clubs means longer for you to get used to them which means more lessons 🤑 coach definitely wouldn’t be complaining!

But in all seriousness good luck my man, I know that feeling of needing better clubs and it’s always a struggle to find the right equipment. Hopefully you can get some new sticks to test and have your coach help you get used to them!

What an incredible test opportunity. The forum is killing it this year with the equipment being offered for testing. Looking forward to following this one for sure.

So true!  What great testing opportunities so far this year.  MSG is awesome.

The two offerings I'm looking forward to testing.  I've played the previous models and these looks like I may have either or if not a combo of the two.  But these two are definitely on my list and hopefully one of them I'll be able to provide results of testing from.
