Testers Wanted: Sub 70 Putters

Just because the seasons are changing doesn’t mean there isn’t still ample time to test and review golf clubs.

In MyGolfSpy Most Wanted Testing Sub 70 has performed well year over year and claimed third overall in 2023 Most Wanted Blade with the Sycamore 005 Wide Blade.  Bolstering an impressive lineup of 16 putters they have an option that will surely appeal to any golfer.

Sub 70 says “Every Sub 70 putter is milled from a billet of 1045 carbon steel which leaves no welds, castings or inconsistencies in the head. This is the best way to make a putter head and you will not find a more solid, great feeling putter. Aesthetically each of the Sub 70 putters offers a clean, classic black and white color scheme with traditional alignment lines. We have purposefully made the heads slightly heavier than the industry standard as we feel it allows a more natural pendulum like putting stroke. “

Sub 70 also introduced a new graphite/steel putter shaft this year that offers more technology, feel and stability.

Add in these Sub 70 putters will often cost half of what major brands sell for and there would seem to be perfect balance of value and performance.

This is where we need you!

We will be selecting four golfers to test, review and keep any putter from Sub 70’s lineup with the shaft preference of their choosing.

What do you think? Up for testing what could be the best underrated putter you haven’t tried and providing your feedback along the way?

*Test is open to US only

I have been wanting to try an arm-lock putter for a while now to see if I can improve on what I consider to be the best part of my game.
I’d choose the 38” shaft with the Jumbo Max grip.

Awesome opportunity, hope one of the four trys out the center shaft. I was just gifted a lab df2.1 and love it. Would love to compare the two against each other.

I’ve tried armlock before but would be interested in giving this model a thorough review as I’ve always wanted to commit to buying that style of putter to give a full shot, but have always been hesitant about spending money on a style I am not used to traditionally.IMG_0876.png.799ab9f735fb5e70ef4a0b5d86e9a1e1.pngIMG_0877.png.c75275648a3a710e8f491e67b175259d.png

I would love to test the the Sub70 Sycamore 004 Mallet. I would need the LH model 37" double bend shaft with midsize Garsten Ultimate Green grip.

I just recently in July switched to Sub70 irons combo set 659CB,TC 5-AW, 54*, 60* wedges  raw finish with the KBS Tour-V black shafts.  They look and play awesome, I am hitting shots that I never have.   Good luck all, whoever is chosen is going to enjoy working with Sub70.

I would love to test this putter.  Right handed with a medium grip. I'm currently using a Wilson Staff infinite Buckingham.  I believe it would be a perfect medium between my current putter and a blade.  I really like what sub70 has brought to the direct to consumer arena.

14 minutes ago, David George said:

Damn, the UK misses out AGAIN 😞 and I already game the 949X fairway woods and the 659CB irons.

Who do I blame?

Sub 70 actually has two different departments so to speak. The UK branch is a family run section that kinda runs outside of the US side.

Sub 70 008 Center Shaft Putter

Built for the player with a straight back and straight through stroke that is looking for consistency and stability in a 100% Steel CNC milled mallet, the Sycamore 008 Mallet

I learned a couple months ago about Sub70 clubs and have been interested ever since! Would love to have a chance at testing some of their products, and would REALLY love to test one of their putters up against my Scotty. I've read and seen a lot of good reviews about their products, so to have an opportunity to see up close would be very cool!

Couple different putters I’d be intrigued to try! The 008 center shaft and the AL6 armlock could be game changers. Putting probably the strength of my game but looking to make it even better and more consistent! Thanks MGS!

Ooooooh baby! These seem to be an awesome value, and the all black look is very clean 🔥🔥🔥 And the multi-material shaft option takes this to a whole other level! The wide blade has always caught my eye, personally.

Currently using a double wide but have been jealousy looking at the fang style putters. Would love to see if it would improve my game.
