If the new version is 7 yards longer than the 2021 model, then I have lost 7 yards since 2021.

My friend had the same problem. It turned out to be a knock off. If you bought it from a reputable retailer than it will be no problem getting it exchanged/fixed. However, if you bought it from some random site, I would have it checked out by an authorized Titleist dealer ASAP. The grip should not matter. Good luck

Jack Hamm and the Hammer driver. His infomercials were hilarious. I hope that was far enough back for Donn lost in San Diego.

Sorry , I guess I didn't realize how long the time period had to be.

Nike golf. They made equipment for the guy "that was better than most". They had a decent market share and just up and left the golf club and ball market.

Not sure how you hit a 5 iron 210 yards but a gap wedge only 100 yards. That's leaves over 18 yards per club gapping on average. That is the largest gap I have ever heard of between clubs.

I went to the PGA Superstore in Raleigh NC and they had a sign LA Golf putters $250 Save $350. I did not see which ones because I was buying a LAB Broomstick. Probably a great deal if you want one.

I did one at Club Champion and it was amazing. When you get on the SAMM putting machine it will show you everything you need to know about your putting. They will have putter options if your current putter in not a match. They will also make sure your loft, lie, length and grip are the correct specs. Overall, I highly recommend Club Champion. They usually cost about $100 dollars, but they will credit it back on a new purchase.

I went to fitting and compared the TaylorMade Qi10 LS , Callaway AI Standard , Ping G430 lST, Ping G430 max and the Ping 10k . All of them were 9 degree heads set to approx. 8. The two best for me were the Taylormade Qi10 LS and the Ping 10k. They both produced approx. 155-62 ball speed and 1900-2200 spin on solid 106-110 mph hits . However, the Ping was more consistent and the spin stayed closer to the average when I missed. I tried the TaylorMade with the black 1k in Stiff and Xstiff. Both produced about the same results as above. I tried the Ping Black tour shaft in the LST and 10k in stiff and Xstiff with ok results (I averaged in the low 150's ball speed and 2200-2500 spin). However, when I put the Kai'li White 60x in, the numbers increased to the above results. I bought the 9* Ping max 10k with the Kai'li White 60x but I still really like the TaylorMade LS. It will be next on the list for me.

Again, I will stay with the recommendation of adding 1-2 degrees of loft. If you like the 8-GW, then just add loft to the 5-7 irons. It will close the distance gap and give you more holding power on those clubs. I do not think you would notice the change in 1-2 degrees of bounce. Since it would only be about a $10 fix why not try ? However, if you just want to change the irons , I totally understand. I go though 6+ sets a year. Good luck !

Here is a simple $3-5 per club possible solution. Go to your local golf shop and have them make your irons 2 degrees weaker (that model is already very strong lofted). Do not go stronger with any of the clubs. At your speed the lofts and lies on your forged clubs are probably out of wack anyway. Your 7 and 8 iron may be off from factory spec.

Optimizing Golf Equipment: Fittings vs. Personal Experimentation
BCases replied to JackBDMN's topic in General Q&A
I agree with the notion a professional fitter is better than tinkering yourself. However , keep in mind, the fitter is going to fit your swing you have that day. As an amateur , my swing varies from day to day and I have a different swing during a fitting than when I am playing a competitive round. Thus, I would recommend getting the fitters driver and fine tuning it on the course/after competitive rounds until you feel as comfortable as possible. Again, to me, both is better than either or.
