No I didn't "need" a new golf bag, though in actuality the current one is ripped on the side of the ball pocket, and since I've been sitting around this afternoon taking it easy I you know just happened to find this on sale at Maple Hill Golf .. plus you can use the current promo on their site for additional $ off...

It's a little heavier at 6.4 lbs than I like .. but then it does spend more of its time sitting on a push cart .. and it's got a nice top layout and a lotta pockets!

Birthday present from my wife, a custom MG4 wedge arrived today. Has my wife's and kids' initials and Florida Gator colors (and a dinosaur because why not??). Also picked up some new ball markers.

Pins and Aces had a Power Hour livestream last night.  Ended up with a couple shirts, a hat, and ballmarker. Plus they were adding mystery gifts as well to anyone who ordered in that hour.
So roughly $200 in stuff I didn't really need, for under $70, that I haven't told the lady boss about.  😳

We have a special opportunity for everyone as members. Do you want to be featured on the main site with your bag setup? Well this is your opportunity!
Each week we will be featuring a WITB from the community. We will do a small write-up using the information you provide in your post, but there are a few important things which are a MUST.
First of all we want this to be an authentic What's In Your Bag?, so tell us a little about the clubs in your bag, how long have they been there, were you fit for them? Are they safe in your bag? Ultimately what made them make your bag over others?
Simply listing WIYB won't do, we need a little background and information to go along with it. Be creative and keep an eye for staff posts to get an idea for what we are hoping to see.
Second - We must have awesome photos in landscape mode. Because of the formatting on the main site we will likely need to crop them a bit, but having high resolution photos that we can use is a must. Portrait photos are a no go as they don't work within the formatting of the main site.
Third - How has MyGolfSpy influence your bag, whether that was member testing, Most Wanted testing or something else. Have you made purchases or decisions because of MyGolfSpy and are those clubs currently in your bag? Or golf ball for that matter.
Finally, have some fun with this. We are thrilled to be able to start this project and will with any luck be able to see the first one hit the main site next week!

You are definitely saving for a wedding. She can't waste money for all the bells and whistles if there is no money to spend. You are just keeping the cost down! Average cost for a wedding in the US is almost $30k. Makes that LAB putter look like a thrift store find. Your investments will last longer than the wedding!
As long as she's not getting fitted for a new "shaft" by someone else and you didn't buy 3 dozen 8 balls of coke for experimenting, you are doing just fine!

Picked up a Millar polo and a Johnnie-O polo shirt,  and 2 pairs of shorts from the thrift shop. Both shirts still had the store tags on them
$11 total.  I had to look up the Johnnie- O shirt. And O is right!

I went from trying to corner the market on face balanced center shaft putters to a blade with toe hang, Odyssey Tri hot 5K two. I also have a spider tour with a plumbers neck that has a little less toe hang.
For me it was a fitting to fix my left miss, then a second free fitting at PGATSS that verified what I was seeing. I bought my Odyssey on Callaway 2nd hand and saved $100.

So I did a putter fitting at pga superstore back in april or may this year after finding out they do free fittings on Saturday mornings. Based on how I swung the putter, the result of the fitting was I should look for a putter that had 30* of toe hang. Compared to my current putter, the TM Dupage Patina which is face balanced (0*). So after browsing the racks and looking for putters with "about" 30* of toe hang, I came across the Odyssey ai milled 8 T S which on paper, is 36* of toe hang. After attempting 10 shots with my current putter and making 3 from about 10 feet, I then tried the same but from different locations with the odyssey and sunk 9 from different locations around the hole and from about the same distance. More importantly, I immediately felt the ball going in the direction I was aiming the putter face. I was hooked but for $450, I didn't need it that bad.
Over the next few months, I would visit PGASuperstore near me and look at the pre-owned racks which had a significant discount and even saw a few of the other models of the ai milled and for $300 instead of the new price of $450. Never saw the 8 model though. Two weeks ago I'm driving by Golf Galaxy and thought I'd stop in (why not right?). Went to the putter section and I noticed they had the model 8 TS in the used section and with one of the newer reverse grips. I took it to the front desk and asked what they wanted for it, and they had it listed for $325 and wasn't actually used, but instead was just a demo club at the store to show off the new reverse grip. So I had to pull the trigger for that price and for a general new club and glad I did.
I've played two rounds so far with my new purchase and have noticed quite a difference in ball direction when I hit it. Even mis-hits go in the general direction of where I'm aiming. Prior, I was shaking at every 3 ft putt because I knew if I didn't hit it square, the ball was going way right or way left. Now is just the slow process of getting used to distance with the face being pretty soft and just general confidence with the club.
Anybody else use the toe hang as a major factor when buying/using a putter? Either going from face balanced to some other degree like me, OR going the other way???? I'd be curious to hear your results/stories. See the last pic below for the 36* of toe hang.

I just redid a set of the aged copper p770s with new custom shafts, ferrules, and grips. I'd love to do these just to see how then evolve and finally turn out.
