Its worth a read through.  Us slower guys will have an easier time gaining, at least maintaining and diminishing speed loss.
I JUST started mine so only have the baseline done.

The green was damp, not soaking wet, I didn't feel I was hitting it any harder then if it were dry. Those 2 videos really did produce good sound for the different types of balls.

Does it help increase swing speed and put you in the correct swing plane?

Great deal on those shoes. Been looking at getting a pair of those myself. Might have to break out the CC at that price.

As many of you may have seen in the main site social and newsletter there is a new website coming later today!
I just checked and the mygolfspy.com is under construction as they complete the update, but my goodness I cannot wait to hear your feedback and thoughts on what you think about this new site.
They have been working on this for nearly 2 years and it will usher in a new era for MGS.
Along with this we will also have a new theme release for our forum members which is updated to be more like the new site with some additional features! I am just making some final touches on that today and will have update on that.
However this is about the new main site. When it is live we would love for all of you to head over check it out and screenshot and share your favorite parts of it here!
Also we would love for you to share and react to any of the social posts going out today if you like the new site as well.
Also I love the new slogan.
    Tried. Tested. True.
Thank you all as part of this community and looking forward to hearing/seelng what you think!

AI#1 Center strike (sweet spot) putting test
Got out this morning after the hurricane force wind and rain yesterday to finish the center strike testing.
After some warmup putts, I conducted the test on the 18th green at the Uniontown CC, I was doing the test from 20ft just going for speed/distance with the center strike (sweet spot) not worrying about line. I rolled 50 putts marking down each distance according to the tape measure, completed some calculations and found that the center strike produces great consistency with roll, distance and direction.
I made an effort to make sure the putter sole was completely flat (no raise of the toe or heel) which made me have a little higher hand making the stroke a lot more reliable and easier to stroke the putt. I used the following balls during the test, Titleist PROV1, Taylormade Tour Response, Callaway Super Soft, Kirkland and a Titleist PROV1X.
I liked the sound of the Titleist's, it was a little click and the Kirkland, Callaway and Taylormade was more of a thud.
After completing the calculation, I found that the center strike (sweet spot) test averaging difference of each round of putts, came to a 3.80-inch total distance average of my target distance. Overall, I could not feel any difference if any from the HEEL, TOE and Center strike tests, the sound was similar but the TOE hit I thought there was a slightly loader sound, however performed the same.
I will put together my comparison of the 3 tests I completed for the Heel, Toe and Center Strike in the upcoming days
Below I have included the warm up video and some photos of results from a few of the tests today. Also of the 18th green and a course worker checking out the flooded 6th and 7th holes.

buckpillar got a reaction from revkev in PGA connections / local course history
    Hello everyone,
Just wanted to share some golf history about the 2 courses I play frequently minutes from my home, Mount Summit GC and Uniontown CC. The PGA connection I have with the course is that Jim Furyk was in the same school district when he was in elementary school and his dad Mike was the Club Pro at the Uniontown CC. Jim was 3 years behind me in school and from my understanding moved away when he was in the 4th grade.
Here are links to the courses below.
Golf at The Historic Summit Inn    ----  https://www.summitinnresort.com/golf/
The Summit’s golf course, built in the early 20′s is rich in history. As one of the earliest courses in the area, it attracted some of the games best. Sam Parks Jr., winner of the 1935 US Open, was the Summit Inn’s golf pro in 1931. He went on to have a very successful career competing in 18 Masters tournaments, 14 US Opens, and 12 PGA Championships. In 1923, Pete Dye’s father played his first round of golf here at The Summit. He then returned to Ohio, gathered a group of investors together and designed and built a 9-hole course called Urbana Country Club.
The Summit Inn’s mountaintop golf course features large undulating greens, spectacular views and tree-lined fairways that afford generous landing areas. The most difficult hole is #8, a 170-yard par 3, featuring a triple-tiered green. The most scenic hole is #4, a 345-yard par 4, offering a sixty-mile view of the Pennsylvania countryside. Although there are only 9 holes on our regulation style course, there is an additional set of mens tees for your second trip around providing you with a full 18 hole experience.
    Uniontown CC ---   https://www.uniontowncountryclub.com/course-information
Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Uniontown Country Club It plays to a Par 71 (6,115 total yardage) (Slope 119) (Rating 68.0). Although the course tips out 6,115 yards, it makes up in toughness with smaller greens like the clubs used to have back in the day. Well-groomed fairways and terrific greens keep Uniontown Country Club difficult, yet friendly. The tee box on Hole #13 has one of the best views in the city.

    Furyk, Jim
    Golf Professional
One of the PGA TOUR’s most recognizable and talented golfers, Jim Furyk was born on May 12, 1970 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. It seems like Furyk was born to play golf; his father Mike as an assistant pro at Edgmont Country club, and young Jim was raised into the game. Jim Furyk’s only golf instruction came from his father; and many note that might account for his unusual—yet effective—swing. In addition to Edgmont Country Club, Mike Furyk also served as head pro at Uniontown Country Club.
Jim Furyk took that homegrown golf talent to play at the University of Arizona in Tuscon, where he was an All-American twice. He also led the Wildcats to their first (and thus far only) NCAA title in 1992. That same year, Furyk turned professional and the rest, as they say, is history. He joined the PGA TOUR in 1994 and has won at least one tournament each year between 1998 and 2003.
His streak took a little bit of a hit in 2004 when Furyk missed three months due to surgery to repair cartilage damage in his wrist. He soon came back into top form finishing a career-high second on the money list in 2006. Furyk truly hit his stride in 2010, winning a career-best three tournaments on the PGA TOUR that year. The most notable victory was the season-ending Tour Championship. That victory earned him the 2010 FedEx Cup. His stellar performance in 2010 won him both the PGA Player of the Year and PGA TOUR Player of the year.

Did some practice on my Carpet yesterday it was snowing so i did some videos but for some reason the Quality is terrible on them I'm not sure why so unfortunately I'm going to just have to tell you how it went until i figure out these videos i hit around 90 putts 30 off the toe 30 off the heel and 30 from the center really just making sure i was trying to swing at the same speed every time and what i noticed was yes the center much quieter but as far as production and speed with this putter it really doesn't matter where you hit it i cant wait to run some more test if yall can think of anything you want to see let me know my next test im going to try to see if straight back putting or arc putting makes a difference

Yes, I would like to see you pelican stance putt, maybe even a cartwheel putt too! 😆 🤣 😂
My putting mirror came in, so I'm going to try and practice with that indoors Friday most likely. I haven't figured out mechanics on how to create a consistent straight putt stroke yet.
