  1. TM p790 is the OG and SUPER forgiving, Mizuno 245 has the best feel... Titleist T200s are pretty awesome all around. T150-T200 combo set is probably the magic right now though.
  2. I'm pretty butt hurt I bought my DF 2.1 a few months before the DF3 released
  3. I have the regular length DF 2.1 with the TPT, I can see how in a broomstick the benefits might be much more tangible, but in a regular length with the size and forgiveness of these heads I'm second guessing how much feedback improvement you get from the TPT (I think it might be overkill). That said I don't have the other shafts laying around to A/B with so... TPT shaft bling is next level however If I had it all to do over again I would probably stick with the Accra
  4. I concur with this, Stealth kicked my ass if I didn’t middle it…but my GOD when I did it was long.
  5. I think it's reasonable if you are going to put in the work, having a club you are working your way into is beneficial. Also "usually" less forgiving clubs will provide more feedback on where you hit the ball on the face, this in turn should help you interpret your mis hits better and help you improve. But also this game is supposed to be fun , I'm sure at a certain point all of this has diminishing returns.
  6. I assume club champion and other fitters have these heads now?
  7. I'm not sure how it could be possible to be more forgiving than the DF 2.1? If it is and they offer a trade in I would consider it.
  8. The DF 3 looks awesome, normally I would be pissed since I just got a DF 2.1 but it's been so money for me I don't even care.
  9. Here is my baby, been draining like its my job with this thing
  10. I would say if you hit it pure it sounds better, but its generally kind of pingy sounding even with the TPT shaft in it. What I will say is that I have gotten VERY used to the sound of the ball hitting the bottom of the cup...which is really the only sound I care about
  11. Mevo + can give you club data for a cost if its important to you. Personally i find it super beneficial. Face impact is awesome too. I take mine to the range all the time.
  12. I can say unequivocally I love this putter and now that I have had some time to adjust to everything it's just so freaking good. I have so much confidence now, I expect vs. hope putts drop. Lag putting is much improved and even on slight miss hits ball goes on line. This thing is just magic. The TPT shaft took some adjustment from a weight perspective, its much lighter overall than the steel shaft you would swing in a store. The feel is incredible though and you can really feel when you do or do not strike the ball pure. That said the DF 2.1 head is SO forgiving it doesn't matter nearly as much as it did with my SIK Flo C. Did this thing cost a small fortune? Yes! Was it worth it? 10000% and my score cards show it. The guys that I play with regularly have just been shaking their heads at some of the ridiculous putts i have holed over the last few weeks. I think the biggest thing for me (and I know a lot of people say this) was just getting out of the putters way and just let it do its thing. Once you trust that its gonna go on line, you just rock your shoulders and the putter does the rest...its insane. Having only tested the steel shaft in the store vs the TPT shaft I can tell you it does make a difference. It probably is more of a factor on the other smaller heads than the DF 2.1, but the feel is really really nice. I'm of the mindset that you use your putter more than any other club so investing money in something that improves things even a little bit is probably money well spent. YMMV
  13. So I just measured my hand via the sizing chart and from the crease at the bottom of my hand to the tip of my index finger is 7.5" . According to the chart that is at the top of the standard size grip range, I wear a cadet large glove in Footjoy or sometimes large or m/l in other brands, I have a large palm and shorter fingers so its hard to find a glove that fits right. Anyway I'm playing midsize grips on most of my clubs in a MCC +4 but recently bought a used 7 wood that had a MCC +4 in standard and it got me thinking maybe I'm playing the wrong sized grips. I know its mostly personal preference and I went to midsize to reduce grip pressure but is there a rule of thumb as far as when you are at the upper end of the fitment guide? Appreciate nay help in advance
  14. I also play 21 P790s and like them a lot, hit the new t200s at Roger Dunn and came away very impressed. I really loved how they look at address, especially the top line. I would imagine there isn’t much in it between the two performance wise. But you never know.
  15. Placed my order on Sept 6th and got the putter Oct 19th, they were super nice and refunded me $100 cause it took longer than usual which was awesome of them. Overall the order/fitting/and customer service so far has been really top notch!
  16. ok so initial report after some putting green practice and 9 holes...swing weight of the club is much lighter than my SIK which for sure effected lag putting. HOWEVER feel was FANTASTIC and it was point and shoot as far as the ball going straight off the face. I went back and forth between the SIK and the LAB on the practice green and there is really no doubt the LAB is just more forgiving and has a better roll. I let some of the guys I was playing with try it out and the all remarked the feedback and sound was pleasing. The sound of the face is very "pingy" but the feel is very solid. I couldn't say how much better the TPT is to stock steel yet i will try to roll some at the golf store back to pack next time im down that way and see what i can feel and report back. I was rolling with the thumbs out putting and it worked really well, after awhile i eased my thumbs back down but wasnt putting any pressure on the grip with them. I think its a good drill to start out with a LAB.
  17. Thanks for all the info in this thread, helped make pulling the trigger on this guy much easier! Anyone else get the TPT shaft yet?
  18. Removing excuses to 3 putt, even got the fancy new shaft from TPT
  19. @Sherlock Out of curiosity did you end up selling your SIK or did you keep it?
  20. Just got it! Love the look, rolled a few putts on the practice mat and it feels fantastic. Need to take it to the practice green with the SIK and do a proper comparison.
  21. Ok boys and girls looks like the UPS man might have the goods for me tomorrow!!
  22. Seems like the Skytrak would be the best option on limited space since its primarily optical, however if your swing speed isn't crazy high and your aren't hitting driver the others should do fine in limited space. Usually the radar based systems fall apart in smaller spaces when it doesn't have time to pick up the ball with the longer clubs.
  23. Just got me a Cleveland RTX Full-Face 58* used from 2nd swing that was essentially brand new, took it to the range/chipping area this morning and I'm loving it. CBX Full-Face2 had a ton of bounce and the super wide sole, any time I tried to lay that club open I was 90% sure i was gonna skull it. Less bounce and a thinner heel is already giving me way more confidence, full shots were as good if not better than the CBX, and I'm loving the heavier weight of the head in RTX. Super stoked I was able to save some $$ and still get an essentially brand new club. Gonna keep the CBX around for awhile just in case I need for soggier days in winter or if I get the yips.
  24. So I bought a used (relatively cheap) G430 Max 3w I found at Roger Dunn a few weeks ago to replace my Cobra LTDx LS head because I'm a glutton for punishment, and the Ping was the most forgiving 3 wood I had hit even if it wasn't the longest. Long story short as they were taking everything apart to do the transplant surgery they found a crack in the Ping head and had to send it back to Ping to get it replaced under warrantee. Turns out its gonna be like 4 - 6 weeks to turn all of that around, so I'm gonna wait patiently for that to come back and give it one more concerted effort to make that thing work...and if not I'll try the super hybrid.
  25. I like my Lagshot a lot, it's hard to get the hang of at first but REALLY helps with tempo, it's also really good for warming up before a round. I don't have any experience with the GForce
