  2. Good morning Spies Had my lesson yesterday. Boy was I messed up! Too much on my balls, not a nice 6-12 swing, not rotating through! No wonder the driver wasn't working. Now I've got lots of homework to put it'll back together! Part of my problem is the "women's anatomy " getting in the way - lol. Not quiet sure how to get around the girls. We are going over at this point. Said it's over, around, or under! So lots of practice in my future! Headed out this afternoon with my hubby for 18. Hoping his ticker doesn't give him issues and we get to finish the round. Have a wonderful day
  3. Garbage Plates are famous there! Like wings in Buffalo. Both are extremely yummy!
  4. Sounds too familiar in our small community. They have a MGA on Thursdays. (Men only) I was president/manager of a company and sponsored a Thursday 2X. Each time I was allowed to select the menu for dinner after, provide awards, etc; paying for all of it. I was NOT allowed to attend in anyway, no golf, no dinner, no presentation of awards! I had to have a fellow president/manager travel 1 1/2 hours to present the awards! Gave up after 2 tries! (By the way I was excepted into "the men's club" in our community) I sponsors gun shoots, sports events etc for many other men's clubs and was included by these same men in those events- even sitting with them drinking long necks! I hold no grudges but still find it archaic. I have so many stories like this as men events are far to common here still today.
  5. You'll at least sound great pulling in to the course!
  6. I have hit into the group in front of me. I don't have a long drive off the tee and had a fabulous shot. It didn't hit them but rolled up towards them about 20 yards short. I felt terrible and apologized. I've also been hit into by the group behind on slow play days. I usually just stand by there ball looking at them with the "mom" look and hands on my hips. I wait a good couple of minutes before I move. That usually works but sometimes you just gotta tell them they need to back off!
  7. Our very old school club is definitely! New computer system and to schedule tee times they only set the men up with online capability. I made them add me - there is no way my husband will schedule MY tee time! He doesn't even do it when we both play.
  8. As a Commercial Insurance agent - I can't believe their insurance carrier hasn't made recommendations to protect the area. I know I would have and the companies I represent would have!
  9. All I can say is I always thought it was - Guys On Ladies Fairways!
  10. Good morning Spies It's going to be a terrific day here. The sun is out with a beautiful blue sky. It's warmed up to 44° so my lesson won't be freezing! Then I have league play tonight. Hopefully my lesson gets my driver back to actually driving the ball a decent distance. Have a wonderful day!
  11. Update on my range - Well the driver is doing a wee bit better for me but I'm still struggling with this driver. I have a lesson tomorrow and will let you know how I do after that! Put myself in for testing of those beautiful Callaway Paradym driver! I'm hoping to get selected. I've always loved Callaway.
  12. My daughter lives in Rochester. She's one of the many golfers in that area that are volunteering for the Oak Hill event this week/weekend! Gonna be a great time!
  13. Good morning (afternoon) Been busy with life. Hubby having some heart issues. Hope everyone is doing great. Headed to the range shortly to see how the swing is fairing after a week long business trip and hubby.
  14. Definitely Rock! Def Lepard, Poison, Kiss, Ozzy, Puddle of Mudd etc
  15. That's the area I like in my glove. If it fits elsewhere it seems the wrist is the weaker part and fails or stretches or just can't get it tightened down the way I like.
  16. My bag current contains PXG 0211Z full set of clubs that were fitted for me at the Steve Dresser School of Golf in Pawleys Island SC this past year. I still struggle with the new driver though.
  17. Caledonia and True Blue golf courses have these "bike carts" for individual use. They are pretty cool. Didn't try one personally
  18. Good morning Spies, Sorry I was MIA! Life got in my way. Weather hear in WN Pennsylvania has been gray and raining daily! Ugh, why do I choose to live here - oh yeah, the grandkids! and comfortable summers. We have a 60th birthday party for a friend today. It'll be nice to see everyone. Hope everyone is enjoying their testing! Sounds like some challenges along with mostly enjoyment. Have a terrific Sunday - golf if you can!
  19. Prayers for all and their families!
