We winter in Pawleys Island SC. South of the craziness of Myrtle. Hole 9 on True Blue. I like the laid back environment. Minutes to everything. 9 golf courses within 5 miles!

Right there with you on the snow! If it could snow, look pretty and be 70° I'd love it! I can't seem to get my head around being 12-14 hours away from the gkids and friends to make the move permanently so we'll snowbird for 4 months each winter out of it.

Good morning Spies, It's still smoky today. Still getting air quality alerts on the phone. Spoke to one of my friends today who fights forest fires in our area. He said he feels like he does after fighting a fire for a few days. Gotta think about all those firefighters out working hard to put them out! I feel bad I was complaining about not being able to golf yesterday now when I think of all of them. I live in a heavily forested area adjacent to the Alleghany National Forest. Our fighters are all volunteer and jump right in help. He said some of our local guys are up helping Canada out. So, today while I'm staying indoors, I'm going say some prayers for all those working to put out these 3.3 hectares of burned and burning forests that they succeed and return home safely. We need mother nature to pitch in and put some water on the area. Have a terrific day Spies. If you get out take a swing or two for me!

My daughter has always said "even if you have a sucky day at golf - you got to at least look good while you do!" She by the way has more golf clothes than I have in all my clothes!

Update - ALL league golf is canceled ! Tee time golf is highly recommended to cancel being advised they are golfing at their ownbrisk!

Good morning, I feel your pain @MattWillGolf being just over the Pennsylvania line from you. In the picture above you should see the Alleghany Mountains but the Canadian wildfires have them blocked out. Stepping outside is like walking into the full windblown smoke - tough breathing outside. Might reconsider golf league as I tend to react to smoke with my lungs shutting down, losing my voice and struggling to do anything physically until I can get get lungs opened back up.
