I just picked up a set of 101Ts, KBS tour lite stuff and the only complaint I have is the grips. Going from my Lamkin UTX cords to the stock grips installed. Other than that, it is a hot knife thru butter. Mis hits still go straight. They are super forgiving and I have been working the ball and loving it. Amazing set and cannot beat the cost. Also love the free hat and towel.
  2. Very COOL! Another "gift" for a lucky tester! Best of luck to everyone who signs up. Clubs look great
  3. Very cool that guys are being this willing to let others have a shot! I would love to test out these clubs, but I just made a MAJOR change in the bag and throwing another log on that fire is not an option right now. Best of luck to the new tester!
  4. Byrd Gang doing a buy 1 get 2 free on polos. I snagged 3 for $75. Not too shabby https://byrdgang.com/
  5. My 2023 goals were to Qualify for WI State Amateur Sub 5 handicap Did not hit either... But I did take 34th overall, missed cut by 4 and was down to a 5.9 at one point this year. Onward and upward.
  6. Interesting read. And yeah, one yard lost is not all that significant. But any ball I find in water goes directly into the 5 gal bucket in garage. Officially deemed for practice only. That being said, if a ball is found that is embedded in mud or found in tall grass and it's something that I normally play, then it's fair game. @mygolfspytest - Would be interesting if you would run a similar test with let's say ProV1x, TP5x and ChromeSoft to name a few to see how they would stack up against one another.

  8. So for re-griping and minor club repair, VIce Rubber club clamp Double sided grip tape Mineral spirits / lighter fluid Razor blade / utility knife Liquid steel bonding (for club re-shaft / repair) Ferrules (Golf Works is prolly the best for this) All this is easily available at PGA SS, Golf Galaxy, The Golf Works or Amazon. Don't go cheap on the vice. Home Depot / Menards / Lowes will have a ton of options. Make sure to get an adjustable base if at all possible. Have fun!
  9. That sucks. I recently switched from GP MCC to Lamkin UTx corded. Could not be happier. If you looking to make a change to another manufacture, I would highly recommend them. Golf Works has them for around $10ish a grip.

  11. I've had zero issues. Built about 6 clubs for my kids. I'll be making a driver with graphite for my oldest in a few days once the head is delivered. Also making another driver for my youngest as well. Waiting on the adapter for that one currently. Just be sure to sand down the portion of the tip beforehand. Clean and allow time to dry. Then do not be stingy with the epoxy. You can always wipe away the excess.
  12. GW epoxy isn't all that great and the tube clogs easily. I switched to JB Weld Steel Epoxy and now have zero issues. Plus you can snag this stuff at nearly any hardware store. https://www.grainger.com/product/2UV83?gucid=N:N:PS:Paid:GGL:CSM-2295:4P7A1P:20501231&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvsjgjNXAgAMVQBetBh1jOwyfEAQYASABEgLFOfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  13. Live in southern Wisconsin. As we ONLY get about 6 months of "golfable" weather, I try and take full advantage. I walk I would have to say around 75% if not 80% of my rounds. Only time I have taken carts over the past month was a trip to Greywalls in Marquette MI. They will actually NOT let you walk this course due to undulation and length between holes. I say grab a push cart and get after it.
  14. I currently have a similar setup. Driver, 3w & Hybrid - Golf Pride Tour Velvet Irons 5 - AW - Golf Pride MCC Wedges - Golf Price MCC+4 Putter - Scotty Pistol My plan is to change everything out later on this year (late summer) and install the same on all 13... 15 if you count DI and 4i that are not in the current setup.
  15. Doesn't this leave residue behind? I know this stuff comes off pretty nicely with warm water off my hands. But, I would figure this would be a pain to remove from a rubber surface.
  16. Happy to assist! Don't forget to repost the finished product! Good luck
  17. I did this for my kids a few months back. For refurb on the irons, give them a good scrub and then grab metal polish and give them a good rub down. As for cutting them down to length, a pipe cutter will work nicely (assuming you are working with steel shafts). Make sure to buy JR sized grips! For the cut down, I would give them a little room to grow, otherwise you will be throwing new shafts on the heads every other year. Items you will need, Grips (again JR size), Grip Tape, mineral spirits OR lighter fluid, Pipe cutter, vise, club grip for vise (if you don't have one or can't find one a rubber glove will suffice). Have fun!
  18. Love the look of all these irons. I'm especially looking forward to hearing how the CB and MB perform. Suppressed at the offset on the 101 line. The company site did say offset in the description, but that's quite a bit! Best of luck guys
  19. It's not going to replace my GoLo S anytime soon haha. But, it's a fun club to mess around with on my putting matt. I actually have it up for sale RN.
  20. I have been looking into their 101T or 201 set. How are they?
  21. Recently flipped my old driver for a stand bag, this Ping Anser 3 and cash. The putter was quite oxidized so I used Flitz metal polish and brought the Bronze back to damn near new. Also did a custom paint fill (USA) and repainted the sight line as well. Came out great. Slapped a new Ping man grip on it and now GTG. Plays at 35 1/2" and is like swinging Thors hammer. I did not weigh the head before reshafting, but I would have to guess it's at least 350g to possibly 365g. The ball really pops off the face well. Love it.
  22. 1 time... stuff happens. 2x or more, that's when we have a conversation. Unacceptable.
  23. I shoot for 20 to 30 minutes beforehand. Gives you time to stretch, putt, chip and get a few good swings in. If it's a competition round, I'm there at least 45 min to an hour early to hit the range and dial in the greens for the day.
  24. I'm going to sound insane, but I have 4 bags, but I actually use them all. Standard - walking 18 w/ my push cart, Callaway Chev 14 Carry 9 or 18 - Ogio Stand-bag Practice - Callaway Sunday Bag (My favorite of them all!) Weekend round - Titleist Staff bag. It's all black / leather and it's super easy to clean. A ton of the courses in and around MKE had gravel paths and it kicks up a TON of dust / dirt and if you have a lighter colored bag, it WILL get dirty quick.
