  1. This is the 5th hole, par 5 of Dublin Ranch. Got a beautiful drive in the middle of the fairway, second shot was a 3 wood which I leaked a bit left into slight rough and left myself a nice pitch to about 5 ft to sink that birdie putt.
  2. Congratulations on this new endeavor @GolfSpy MPR
  3. Shot of the day was 7th hole in Dublin Ranch. Hole was playing 135 yards slight cross wind. I used a pitching wedge and landed it 5 feet left of the pin but put so much spin on the ball that it came back 21 feet. Left my birdie putt 6” left and sank the par putt.
  4. Hey @Kanoito, hope everything goes for you. If things materialize, let me know. I live about 30 mins from the Fremont area. I’d love to shoot a few rounds with a fellow Spy.
  5. Hi @Kanoito, I live in the East Bay Area of San Francisco. See below for answers on your questions. Non-Golf related: 1. I believe the word comfortable is relative as to level of activities. But assuming we’re only talking about activities, $150K is more than ample for a comfortable lifestyle. 2. Health insurance is usually offered by the company and how much the employee may or may not share in the cost is definitely the decision of the company. Some companies opt to pay all premiums while others opt to have the employee pay a nominal amount. There are usually co-pays when visiting the doctors and the co-pays increase to see specialists. Those costs are on the employee. Golf Related: 1. There are a mix of private and public courses here in the Bay Area. Cost of green fees are anywhere from $50 to $150 based on the course you play. Cheaper green fees for Executive Courses (9 holes) are also available throughout the Bay Area. There are options to walk and ride as well and there are courses that are ride only or walk only as well. Weather is typically good throughout the year but can be too cold for some during the colder months) December to March. Temperatures can dip into the low 30s to high 20s. That said, if you can play in those conditions, then definitely all year round golf. Private clubs can get very expensive, especially on the initiation fees, typically over $100k, on top of the monthly dues. 2. In reference to junior golfer incentives, I am assuming that you are referring to your children. I believe there are some clinics that they give. I cannot speak too much about this area as I personally am not a member of a private club. This gives me the freedom to play more courses than members who do not want to waste their dues on not playing in the private club that they are a member of. Hope these answers was able to assist you in any way.
  6. Wilson D9 Forged PW - 44 GW - 49, Wilson Staff HT 56 & 60
  7. Was using an original Ping Anser until I upgraded to a Wilson TM22
  8. Played today at Dublin Ranch (Dublin, CA). Played par 5 fifth hole. Hit a lousy drive to the right about 200 yards or so. Hit another lousy 2nd shot with my 3 wood. 3rd shot was a 6 iron about 178 yards and left it within 3 feet for my birdie.
  9. Congratulations testers. Can’t wait to read your reviews on these wedges. I’ve heard of them previously and saw the Rick Shiels YouTube video and was quite intrigued. I also heard some say these are on pay with the Smithworks wedges.
  10. Last Monday, I played at Dublin Ranch. This was my shot on the 7th hole par 3 playing about 130 yards. Left it less than 3 ft. Closest I’ve gotten to a hole-in-one I’ve been in the 30 plus years that I’ve been playing golf. Still chasing that elusive hole-in-one.
  11. Congratulations to all those selected for this test. Am very interested in your results.
  12. I currently have Wilson D9 Forged irons with Nippon Modus 120 as fitted to lower my spin. Precious to this I was playing a 30 year old MacGregor set with graphite shafts that my Dad had handed down to me. I like both feels but the graphite shafts were definitely lighter than the steel shafts. I am enjoying the steel shafts but know that the time will come that I will need graphite shafts as I get to that age.
  13. Congratulations to all those chosen to test these wedges. I’m sure it will provide for good reading and help those of us that want new wedges and are a little hesitant on spending onwards of $360 for a pair of wedges.
