Well, look up Fairfield Glade, TN and you'll notice 5 golf courses inside the community. That's where I live. 🙂
Plus, they just accumulated over the past 4-5 months. I got some. I was given some. Etc. I won't need to buy any for at least a year, maybe 2. I will lose anywhere from 2-4 per round these days and more on a really bad day (stupid, beautiful nature). Hopefully that stops next year as I work with a coach on my swing. 🙂

... Haha I have 9 dozen too. I start every round with a new ball and lose one occasionally to a hazard or more likely, desert rocks that are on the fringes of fairways here in Phoenix. I imagine all things considered I average about 1.5 ball per round. That's only 72 rounds so I will need more balls by February or March at the latest. 🤪

I played the 2021 Maxfli Tour X balls for much of the last two+ years, but also occasionally played the Snell MTB-X, Wilson TRIAD, OnCore Vero X1, and even the ProV1x Left Dash when I could get them.
After the new Maxfli Tour models came out this year, I purchased a “sampler cube” (one dozen Tour, one dozen Tour S, and two dozen Tour X balls) at GolfGalaxy. I didn’t care for the Tour S at all, and still have 11 of those 12 balls sitting in my garage. The standard Tour model is quite good for me, and I will probably play them on my winter golf tour as the weather gets colder. However, the Tour X is definitely my favorite golf ball, and I play that ball model exclusively in all of my competitive rounds, including in my NJ Senior Men’s League Championship match last week (won our 3rd statewide championship in the last 5 years, and 6th in the 9 years that I have been playing in this league).
The 2023 Maxfli Tour X is absolutely my #1 favorite golf ball, and it I didn’t still have a bunch of the other golf balls mentioned above (plus a few dozen Vice Pro Plus balls, which are probably my next-favorite ball model), the Tour X and Tour balls from Maxfli would be the only balls that I ever play!

... I have been writing reviews for many years now and very rarely do I run across any product that has no negatives, only positives. The Maxfli Tour is just such a product. Compared to a ProV1x I honesty find absolutely zero difference in performance. I could make the argument the durability of the ProV1x is better, but even then It is more the ProV retains its sheen better than the Maxfli, but performance isn't effected. To be fair I start every round with a new ball so I can't comment on playing the same ball multiple rounds. My young 37yr old playing pard is a +2 and after my recommendation he switched to the Maxfli Tour X from the ProV1 and he routinely gets 2 to 3 rounds from one of his Maxfli's.

... As a scratch player I have never paid any attention to what is played on the PGA tour and that would include the ball they use. Now if Titleist wants to provide me with free balls and pay me even a paltry $1,000 a year to play the ProV1x my only question is where do I sign? But since I have to actually pay for my balls and at $30 a dozen when buying the Maxfli Tour 4 dozen Cube, I can't imagine playing any other ball. Ymmv of course ...

People want that name brand recognition unfortunately.  If it plays well and saves me money, I'm doin it!

You know what's crazy? I ordered the cube back in February - fully under the assumption that I was buying the "new" 2023 ball.  I'm not sure how or why I thought that - it's entirely possible that the new ball hadn't even come out yet (I'm fuzzy on the timeline), but I definitely have all 2021 balls, not the new 2023 ones.  Interesting.  I would have sworn I had the new ones 🙂
Thanks for the heads-up!  (They're still a great ball, obviously, but I'm loving the new Tour ball, for sure)

One thing always bugs me when I read people's comments either in the Maxfli testing thread or just about anywhere the topic comes up. They say the ball is great and great value and great performance and they really like it, but won't play it because it's not "tour proven." Does that mean they only play one of like 6 balls on the market that are used on tour (including ones that are almost impossible to find)? To me, that has to be one of the most ridiculous things ever. A ball that's more than 95% the performance of a ProV1, as durable, and less than half the cost. But they won't play it because it's not used on tour. There are some crazy people out there.

I played the Tour X for most of this year, and have just this past month switched to the Tour, as I prefer the softer feeling and I don't seem to miss the extra spin of the X.   The durability is surprising - I'm okay with them losing "their luster/gloss", as long as they don't have any cuts or anything to affect ball flight - I played the same ball on Friday, and despite the record number of three-putts (I WISH I could blame the ball for that), it still flew perfectly off the driver on 18, so it's back in my bag ready for the next 18.
I bought a dozen of the Yellow Tour to try out this winter, less because of the color and more because I'm curious if there's ANY performance difference (extremely doubtful).  I also kind of like playing a yellow ball (shh, don't tell anyone).
Oh! One weird thing I've noticed is that with the double-line of the Tour X, a LOT of people think that's a driving range ball.  I had one guy pick it up and put it in his cart, claiming that he "thought it was just a range ball" (why would he take that? Good question), and I've had playing partners ignore it when they see it (in the VERY rare instance I hit it offline, ahem) in the rough, thinking it's a range ball.  Just a heads-up, in case you ever hit it in the rough 😉

This is next up on my list to try out. I should have jumped on the deal and ordered a couple.

I bought some of the Tour balls and found their performance to be really good and comparable with premium balls I use.  The only thing I have noticed is that when I am fortunate enough not to lose a ball after 2 or 3 rounds the balls lose their luster/gloss which makes me want to put them away even if they are still performing well.
