  1. Thanks, this sounds like a solid plan. I will look into getting a fitting session.
  2. I was looking at Takomo irons over the last couple of days, specifically the 101T's or 201's. Skill wise, the 101T is probably going to be a better fit for me, at least according to their comparison table. But maybe I am wrong? And how do I find out what kind of shaft I should select? Any advice?
  3. I'm not sure about that. In my last round the watch did not pick up some of my chips, maybe that was related to me walking over the green and chipping back onto it? Not sure. But at least it was easy to detect the missing shots cause I also enabled the score tracking. Still, my idea with the watch recording every 15 seconds the GPS coordinates no matter what would greatly help in such a scenario in after round edit mode (on phone/pc) to find and add the missing shots (and if you stay longer on the same spot, a heat map style color coding could indicate that you took a shot from there...)
  4. Time to speed around the neighborhood and intercept that DHL truck before it reaches your home. Please provide a live video feed
  5. My local course has a 6 hole academy (beginners) round, that is mapped in shot scope as a 9 hole round. I play the 6 holes and then select "end round". With this, all my shots make it into the shot scope performance statistics.
  6. The course is mapped, as I have played many rounds on it with the H4 already. I was only confused that I do not get the birds eye view automatically, since many (most?) of the pictures you see on the V5 product page show exactly that. So that's why I assumed I should get this kind of view as well.
  7. I checked the manual, it's a few button clicks away. I will give it a try on the next round. It would be cool though to have the view switch automatically depending on the distance to the pin (and/or make it user configurable). Another idea: record a GPS data point every 15 seconds or so, then visualize that on a separate layer on the webpage later too - to see where you walked, looked for your ball, etc. And this might help as well to fix some "lost shots".
  8. I played my first 6 hole practice round last Friday using the V5. Coming from the H4, I did not yet switch the tags on my clubs to the new versions, but everything got detected nicely (with the exception of 1 chip I think). What I really like about the V5: no need to tap clubs to the H4 cube (and take it out of my pocket and store it again) score tracking is very cool (and now I wonder why they do not have that in the H4...) One thing though that confused me a bit: Do I get the course bird view only for par 4 and 5's? The practice course only consisted of par 3's and I never got the map view of the hole (so I always saw the same thing that the H4 would show me). Or is there a setting that I missed? I left everything on default so far.
  9. I received my V5 the other day. So far I charged it, updated the firmware and connected it to the app. As I had (and still have) the H4, and someone mentioned the "old" tags still work with the V5: Can I just take the V5 with me to the course and it should all be fine? There's no need to explicitly register the old tags with the V5, correct? I plan to change the tags later anyway, but I have a practice round planned tomorrow and it would be nice to test the V5 there already.
  10. The hat feels nice and very light. I only had it on my head for a minute so far. I can see that it will work nicely whenever the sun decides to come back here soon. I hope I can properly test the whole ghost equipment soon!
  11. My Oreo Bag finally arrived! I only got around to unpack it and snap some pictures of it, but it feels and looks so so good . Let's see when I transfer all the clubs to it, the weather here is still very crappy at the moment, so I don't want to take this one into use right now... Thanks again @GolfSpy_APH for the deal!
  12. Shot Scope V5 Deals: https://www.golfonline.co.uk/shot-scope-v5-gps-performance-tracking-watch http://r.mail-shotscope.com/mk/cl/f/sh/7nVU1aA2nfuMScfD1zB9JNxZDXmN118/1YsOH6VuKPIW https://shotscope.com/row/exclusive-user-offer/ I ordered mine at golfonline for around 205€ including shipping to Switzerland, but excluding customs/tax (which will be max 40€). The other links are from ShotScope. I got them in my mail. The first one reduced the price to 240€, but at checkout the final price was then shown as 270$ (with no option to change back to euros). The second shot scope link asked me for my shot scope account email, but resulted in an error message although my address was correct. Maybe someone has more luck and gets a better offer through the shot scope links, but in my case I went with golfonline.co.uk.
  13. Ok, you guys got me convinced. I ordered the V5. Shot scope sent me a discount link a few days ago, but I still found it cheaper here: https://www.golfonline.co.uk/shot-scope-v5-gps-performance-tracking-watch (but I guess it depends where you live etc).
  14. https://shotscope.com/userguide/english/Shot_Scope_V5_en_user_guide.pdf I've quickly browsed through the V5 user manual. It seems you get a set of "version 2"-tags that you have to install into your clubs and those enable automatic tracking as long as the tag is within 10cm range of the wrist band of the V5 when you take the shot. Seems easy enough. I'm wondering what happens if you grip the club lower (chip shots). Does the watch have sensor that still record a shot in that case? And what about practice swings? I guess as long as you don't move away (gps-wise), only the last swing should get recorded. Maybe @William P can explain this a bit more?
  15. I joined for the reviews and to maybe eventually ask some question and get inputs/opinions from other golfers. And for a tiny slight chance to eventually get picked as a tester .
