  1. Played my usual Seniors tournament on Thursday and had a pretty nice round going. Was well on my way to a personal best and like all who just can't stay relaxed, in their lane, I managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in the final few holes... Shot 39/43 - 82 which could have easily been a much better back nine until I couldn't hit an easy approach on a couple of holes to blow it all up. Went +7 over the last 6 holes with three doubles... On a positive note, I was finally swinging the driver with some sense of awareness. Still haven't determined what I changed... The TPT shaft certainly responded to the swing and produced an average of 263 yds for the round with two significantly longer drives of 291 yds and 292 yds respectively. All shots were piped right down the middle. That is significant improvement for me and to say I was ecstatic would be an understatement. When the archer loads the arrow and releases it properly the TPT shafts perform admirably. Attached are screen shots of the two long drive holes. As you can see on hole 13 this is where me and the wedges decided to have differing opinions of how they should be working which resulted in the first double bogey mentioned earlier.
  2. Nice round! One can only dream...
  3. Thankful to hear you and your family are well and safe. Sorry for your kid's friends and others left devastated in the wake of this destructive force of nature.
  4. Without a doubt 3 putts are the worst destroy my confidence in the putter stroke quickly leading to worse...
  5. Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Thoughts and prayers with you and your family at this tough time in your lives. Hope the time off from swinging helps the hand.
  6. Happy Birthday to your son. Hope he and your family enjoy the days celebration.
  7. Good Saturday morning Spies! Up early to assist the spousal unit with her farmers market activities today. Hope she does well, Daddy needs new wedges... Hopefully the weather will cooperate, and we can be done and gone before the bad stuff comes in. Thoughts and prayers with those effected by yesterday's severe weather. Welcome to the Forum and Good Morning thread @BORDO and @ZachN97. Hit 'em well if you get the opportunity! Everyone have a great and safe day.
  8. Welcome and glad to see you participating!

  10. Welcome all to the Forum! Could be officially known as the golf fanatics "nut house!" Be careful there are some crazy squirrels wondering around in here...
  11. @Tom the Golf Nut Tupelo Bay is a great practice facility. I will be doing some practice there next week as I will be visiting dear friends who live about a 1/2 mile from there in Murrell's Inlet. If you are in for a nice meal during your visit, I would suggest Drunken Jacks down on the inlet. Excellent food and great ambiance.
  12. Let's hear it for Rat Patrol!! Perfect vehicle for any patrol duties...
  13. Good Friday morning Spies! The coffee is going down nicely this morning as I get ready to perform my weekly chore of providing for breakfast... From there it is off to get a sim session in with an emphasis on shaft comparison. Weekend is forecast to be a wet and windy one so I will start getting ready for Myrtle Beach trip on Monday and save the good shots for next week. Old friends, tall tales, golf, and cold beer - no better way to spend the week! @Woodrow72 Sorry to hear of your friends situation and wish him a speedy recovery. Hope everyone is enjoying day with plans to engage your local course in battle over the weekend. Have a great one everybody!
  14. I have not looked into the scorecard feature so I am not able to answer positively but I don't believe the V5 will show your score vs par on the face. With regard to the putts, have you uploaded, edited and signed off the round? This may clear up the differences noted as I have seen some calculations change when this process is completed.
  15. No need to register the tags. All should be fine. Just check at each shot prior to setup to ensure the club has been recognized.
  16. They aren't cheap. I don't play enough for that frequency of replacement but, I should have replaced mine long ago.
  17. I know the feeling Josh, My spin milled are 2007 vintage, so they are definitely up for renewal this year, although, they don't appear to be worn out yet...
  18. Another great call today! Listening to Aaron describe the process and dedication to improvement at Vokey was very revealing. Thank you @GolfSpy_APH for setting this one up. This call has convinced me to stay with Vokey when I replace my wedges later this year...
