  1. Welcome to the forums. Never heard of Truckee but since you mentioned snow, I'm thinking Nor-Cal adjacent? A lot of great people and information here on the forums with plenty going on every day. I suggest checking out the Good Morning thread, it is a daily hot spot to get a feel for the place.
  2. I was saving it to take out for my birthday round, and I even forgot it on that day and then I had a bad round last week and finally decided to bust it out to feel better about the day. I freaking love it though!
  3. This week I finally opened up my Ghost Golf Bag (I held out for nearly a month!) Since my putting has been bad recently, I bought a WellPutt mat to practice on daily. I found a box of Chrome Tour "Lone Wolf" balls on eBay that I couldn't pass up. I have always identified with the Wolf, not sure I am ever going to put these in play. Maybe a sleeve. Maybe. And finally the Accra shaft I ordered has been fitted with a Star Grip and is ready for play this week!
  4. Good morning spies! Happy Mother's day to the all of the Mother's out there. Without those ladies, we would not be here to Golf! And Happy Birthday @Rob Person enjoy your first legal drink for us all! No major plans for the day, besides giving a call to all of the mother's in my life, my fiancé might be calling me a mother-something at some point as well and I will be making some oven roasted tri-tip for dinner. If golf is on your plans, I hope you can run fast carrying your clubs because those Mothers get a +5 speed and acceleration boost today so watch out!
  5. Good morning spies! Been up watching the Wells Fargo today with nothing crazy planned except taking in my Accra shaft and having a Star Grip put on it (I really should learn how to do this myself, soon enough). Excited to put it in the Qi10 Max and give it a go on the course this week! Hope y'all have a great weekend!
  6. Great question Rob. I couldn't get into the idea of using an alignment aid from anywhere but the putting green. Before trying the Maxfli Tour X and Mindset balls, I really didn't care for using them in that area either. Similar to you, I use the aid to match where I would like the face to contact after I set the line up, and it has worked out well so far.
  7. Well, unfortunately my Mexico trip was delayed due to some family happenings that would have made the trip a completely solo endeavor. Still going, but not sure when. So my summer in Mexico is a no go. Fortunately, my Virginia trip is still a go and I am excited for that no doubt!
  8. That is scary and unfortunate. Sending positivity to your family right now Rob, you will be in my thoughts brother.
  9. Motocaddy looking nice out there! Great round and glad to hear you had fun out there!
  10. I definitely know some "sneakerheads" that would have sock designs to match their golf shoes if they played. That being said, I've always been a low/ankle cut sock guy myself so it wouldn't bug me either way.
  11. No clue there was one tonight, looks awesome though!
  12. Hey Rob, I'm linking to you to the tester thread. They might have used the bag more since they are in testing
  13. Played the front 9 today using the Maxfli Tour X with the alignment arrow vs the back 9 with the Bridgestone RX Mindsets, and while I had 3 less putts (17) with the Tour X ball vs the Mindset ball (20), it was a rough day overall and I cannot say that either had any effect on my game. Durability is the only thing I can truly comment on after this round and the Mindset ball won that category. One more round is in order before I post an unofficial review
  14. I might have to sleep on the couch with it tonight worth it.
  15. And now I can't stop looking at it I make my way back around to that side of the apartment to catch a glimpse of it in all its beauty.
  16. Trust me, it was NOT easy. But seeing the other photos actually helped the temptation. I was supposed to open it on the 2nd for my birthday round and forgot
  17. So I needed some positivity in my life after a fairly bad round today and decided to finally bust open the Ghost Golf box! I am in love with it! I can't wait to show this puppy off!
  18. Walked 18 today at Green Tree Golf Course. Shot 98 for a +26 on the day. Driving was a big issue for me today, not the left-right path, but I was swinging atrociously. I topped at least half of my drives today and it was frustrating without a doubt as the Qi10 Max has been a go getter most other outings. Definitely excited to try out the new shorter shaft after I get the Star Grip I ordered and put it on. Irons were up & down today, but my swing and feeling comfortable making a divot is coming along. I have been a sweeper my entire time golfing this far, and I am working on the change to shallow the club and also lower myself into the shot better. It's tough, but the good ones felt super. Wedges were good but not great, left a handful short and cost me in my putting today. (3) 3-putts, a lot of 2's and a couple of 1's for a total of 37. Felt a lot better with my distance control in that area, the wedges kind of left me hanging. Overall, there were some goods, and some really bads (I'm looking at you Qi10 Max ) but still, any day golfing is a great one!
  19. Good morning spies! Today appears to be a busy day on course work, want to get it all done and enjoy my weekend. May be a bit hard to focus due to the mix of a new putting mat arriving today and continuously staring down a new shaft I have for the Qi10 Max that I am waiting on a grip to arrive for Besides that I hope you all have a great day! Edit: Plans change, people don't. Heading out to walk 18!
  20. Will definitely try to get a couple of portrait photos next time! I mentioned in my post the handle was @hesperiagcc but I will end up there again at some point I'm sure since it was a nice course digging the photos from everybody!
  21. Great collection there. I know that the HC I decide on for the Qi10 will definitely be from HFL. The Luigi and Hulk look even better in your photos which is rare seeing as HFL takes pretty good photos.
  22. Congrats testers!! I like the fact that there are 4 different sets of Stix clubs that they are providing. Will definitely be a well-rounded testing process.
  23. Congratulations testers! I have a feeling that you are going to love the Vokeys!
  24. Great read, and I agree that you're either going to embrace the Mindsets or let it pass you by. How did the balls hold up over the round damage-wise?
