  1. Thanks Kenny!! All good on my end, other than golf season around here is over. At least I've got my winter golf setup in my shop, so hoping to be in golf shape next Spring!
  2. I use them simply because they keep my clubs in better shape, helps to ensure I grab the correct club and don't leave anything behind when I return to my cart.
  3. Well, the good news is, no blizzards in the forecast this week! The only golfing for me since November has been in my mancave with a launch monitor... That said, I took up bowling last year and found some more golfing partners to play with when our courses finally open (sometime next month, I HOPE!).
  4. I bought a small bag of Martini tees, if forget how many years ago, but I'm still using the first one I took out of the bag. Simply unbreakable, for me. The only time I use other tees from the "tee collection" I've built up over the years is when I'm practicing off of a hitting mat using a simulator over the winter, or at the practice range.
  5. Thanks! It just showed up at my front door! Should be able to start swinging it in the "mancave" with the GC2 launch monitor this weekend
  6. I've been the same age as some old people, for a while now. I just figured I wasn't "officially old" until I hit 70. I still refuse to grow up, so there's that
  7. I've been using my simulator over the winter in South Dakota for quite a while and never use the courses that came with the GC2 software. I just try to work on solid contact and exercising my "golf muscles" using the "range" and the fitting software. I find the information from the fitting software useful in helping to correct swing flaws. I just don't find simulated courses realistic, but if I don't exercise and work on my swing over the winter months, at my age it's a struggle to get back in shape and get "my game" back in the Spring.
  8. I started having consistency issues with my fairway wood this past season, so I decided to "gift myself" an 18-degree Cleveland Launcher XL Halo hybrid for Christmas. Given the current weather is South Dakota, it won't get here by Christmas, but hopefully sometime next week. Since I turned 70 this year, I value consistency far more than the marginal distance I gained with a fairway wood that put me in trouble, as often as not. It's really weird being the same age as "old people" . . .
  9. Compared to most of South Dakota, we've fared pretty well. If you've watched any national weather, you know the state got hit with a heavy winter storm system. In our neck of the woods, we probably got less that 6 inches of snow and only got heavy drifting across the roads yesterday. Once the roads get plowed so we can travel, I plan to drive to town to pick up some things and go bowling (my indoor sport). It's very cold, the roads are slick and snowy but it's South Dakota, so it's just winter weather now.
  10. Have you checked out the Mercedes GLC 300? It really feels a lot like driving the E350, just a bit higher off the ground with a lot more room in the back. Just picked one up before Labor Day for a long trip out East. (Still keeping the E350, though)
  11. Lengthen shafts and adjust lie angle / swing weight for longer shafts. Found out today they're at the store, but waiting for the Cobra hybrid, as I requested combined shipping. I'll be in he Twin Cities area this weekend, so I'm going to pick up the irons and have them ship the hybrid when it arrives.
  12. I'm still thinking my irons that went to Ping for adjustments should be arriving ANY DAY NOW, since it's been a little over a month...
  13. Just be careful if you activate the "Car Guy gene," it can make golf look like a cheap date
  14. Not that I don't love my new Edel putter, but since I haven't been able to get the Scotty Cameron Select Squareback Putter I also tried out last month out of my mind, I pulled the trigger on a deal I couldn't pass up. I needed a good backup putter, right??
