  2. Ok this is a start. Go back to the first page of this thread and see how your fellow testers laid out their intro and unboxing. More info the better. Family/job/golf strengths and weaknesses. These are all important for these reviews. Your review is worth very little if the people reading it have zero idea of who you are and how you play. This is the core at what I believe sets MGS apart. Real world results from real world golfers.
  3. I’ll definitely add my unofficial thoughts here once the testers have had a chance to get their full reviews in.
  4. I agree with everyone in the headcover. It’s of good quality but definitely not my cup of tea. Luckily my MGS one fits like a glove and looks better with my bag.
  5. Getting caught up here. Great stuff so far everyone. Just bought 4 dozen Tour X balls(I still got about 7dz vice left) because I like what I’m hearing. Oh and the price is nice too. @Manny any chance we can get an Intro from you so we know who the heck you are and what type of golfer you are? Perhaps if you happen to have any/some pics of the unboxing and playing them on course. Your placeholder post is looking pretty lonely!

  7. Late to the party here but congrats guys. After ordering an 8* Paradym TD that got lost and then trying different heads, I went and hit a bunch of different combos at my local shop. I left my brain out of it and hit all that was available. Glad I did. I always loved the feel and shape of the Paradym TD but the consistency(launch/spin/dispersion) I gained with the Vanquish 50 stiff shaft paired with it were just too good. I can’t wait to see you guys put it through its paces and hopefully see what I see every time I tee it up.
  8. Date 05/29/2023 Course Name Spring Valley Golf Course Gross Score 83 Course Handicap 0 Gross Strokes over/under par 11 Net Score to Par 11 Net Score 83 Net Birdies or better 3 Longest Drive 304 Chipped in for eagle and going Driver/punch 7-iron over the green. Putting was still horrid though
  9. Date 05/28/2023 Course Name Hillside Golf Course Gross Score 85 Course Handicap 0 Gross Strokes over/under par 13 Net Score to Par 13 Net Score 85 Net Birdies or better 0 Longest Drive 327 That’s actually a decent score for a round that had over 40 putts lol
  10. I guess we now know! I have full faith in you and can’t wait to rub it in the faces of the other testers and mods when you go down as the greatest Cobra Challenge participant ever!
  11. Date 05/27/2023 Course Name Hillside Golf Course Gross Score 83 Course Handicap 0 Gross Strokes over/under par 11 Net Score to Par 11 Net Score 83 Net Birdies or better 2 Longest Drive 303 Started Double/Bogie/Bogie/Double but played better the last 14 holes.
  12. Most of the responses here have zero to do with the oem. The responses would be the same if the title was Titleist or Callaway. There are a few oems that will not adjust the swing weight of a club unless specifically asked for a certain swing weight. In this case Takomo used weights in the butt section of the club instead of drilling out metal of the club head which can change the characteristics of the head. He got exactly what he ordered from the details he provided which in itself makes this come off as a complain to complain or buyers remorse type deal. It’s like complaining that the grip you picked out at the putter fitting now won’t fit in your putter well of your bag. Also please let us know how to correctly counterbalance a shaft that was order to get to the right swing weight without doing it under the grip
  13. This thread is not for discussing “issues”with WRX. The title asks if WRX is relevant anymore and you a free to state one way or the other with your reasoning but just complaining about wrx is pointless. I get that you are frustrated but MyGolfSpy is not a place to complain about other forums. I see most of your posts here are in this thread. I’m glad you found something to talk about here but if this is the only reason you come here, you won’t be happy.
  14. @GolfSpy_APH @GolfSpy BOS @GolfSpy TCB @GolfSpy SAM @GolfSpy MPR @Golfspy_CG2 hope this week goes well for you!
  15. I check my FedEx and ups accounts twice a day hoping for an alert
  16. Date 05/20/2023 Course Name Hillside Golf Course Gross Score 83 Course Handicap 0 Gross Strokes over/under par 11 Net Score to Par 11 Net Score 83 Net Birdies or better 0 Longest Drive I don’t carry an official handicap so I’m entering my scores as a par golfer cuz that’s my goal!
  17. Few points here First There was no problem/defect/flaw/issue with the build other than you can not install a non factory sensor in the end of the grip. Which means the only problem/defect/flaw/issue is yours not theirs. Second Your example of a LOCAL club builder doesn’t work. Takomo is based out of Finland not an hour away or whatever you consider local. Third and most important Your example of your company screwing up and making it right doesn’t work either. Takomo did not screw up from the info you are providing. Again unless the specs of the clubs are not what you requested, then you got what you ordered.
  18. Appreciate the kind words Jamie. I agree with Bryan that we would be remiss not to include and mention you and all the hard work you do as well. You have put your stamp on this forum and it wouldn’t be what it is today without you. To the rest of the staff @GolfSpy BOS @GolfSpy SAM @GolfSpy TCB @Golfspy_CG2 seeing what you do behind the scenes is eye opening and you deserve more credit/appreciation than you will ever receive. It is truly a pleasure to be a part of this community and member of the staff. As they say when you love something it never feels like work.
  19. All of your options cost them money for no reason other than you can’t install the sensors. The only problem you have stated so far is that you can’t install your sensors. Not the swing weights are off, the lengths were wrong, wrong grip, wrong club head, damaged, or anything else that would warrant any type of action from them. Again having the sensors installed may be a big deal to you but unless you specifically told them to leave the grip hole open so you can install the sensors(which I’m sure you didn’t because honestly who would) Takomo did absolutely nothing wrong from the info you provide. This sounds more like buyers remorse and a chance to complain than a warning to the membership here. If anything I see it as a compliment to Takomo for actually taking the time to hit the Swingweight when other oems may not.
  20. And what exactly are the ways you thought of that they could do to help you with your non refundable custom ordered irons? How do they play? Have you had the swing weight checked to see if they met the requirements? If the only issue is not being able to screw in your shotscope sensor, then I don’t see the problem.
  21. Picked up a few things today. Groove it Brush-no clue why I waited so long MicroFiber towel 2-dozen more Vice Pro Soft balls Ping Glide 4.0 54* E Grind wedge. Messed around with it today and unless it turns to crap the next time out it will replace the Zipcore with BGT shaft in the bag.
