  1. That could be a 10* head actually and only turned down to 9.25*.
  2. Are you launching it high as well? Head weight of the tsr3? Is it stock or has any weight been added to the head and where?
  3. Slight price drop. Zero tip trimming in the shaft and may be able to come up with a cog for the all fit adapter so just ask. May also be able to source a Mizuno adapter and screw for the head only.
  4. Updated BNG standings. I clearly suck at this and im getting beat by a team that hasn’t picked since week 1.
  5. Let’s do a small price drop Shaft $old driver head $old Gonna see about moving this and give the Cobra 5.5 a real chance. I won’t be upset if the autoflex doesn’t sell as I’ll probably end up buying the yellow one if it does haha Up for sale or trade today is a Mizuno ST-Z 230 9.5* driver shafted with an autoflex 505xx. It plays just a shade over 46” and is in amazing shape. Comes with headcover and wrench. It does have an all-fit adapter and Mizuno cog instead of the Mizuno tip. Looking to do $775obo shipped to the conus for the total package. Will split at $550 for the autoflex and $300 for the Mizuno head. Trades An Autoflexx 505xx in yellow(I’m a sucker for the yellow) Paradym TD 8* head only(my original order got lost) Free Flex shaft?
  6. Should be interesting with your Takomo iron test. Players distance irons are all about high launch low spin lol
  7. Yeah I have always been a lighter weight shaft guy and autoflex had been amazing until I changed my iron swing for more consistency. The one that has me really intrigued is the free flex shaft. My local guy told me that quite a few customers(for you @GolfSpy SAM) have actually lowered launch with it compared to autoflex even though it is actually lighter
  8. I’m not gonna get into the whole shaft conversation but….. actually I will leave it at that. Haha The shaft I currently game is more expensive that most complete drivers lol. I’m a believer in finding a shaft weight/flex/length that allows you to find center contact the most consistent and use the head to tweak launch and spin as the head has the most effect on that stuff.
  9. All good. I’m playing a Vice pro Soft ball. It fits my irons/wedges so well and I love the soft feel off the putter. It’s not the best fit for driver but it’s a nice compromise. I’m actually on the low side of spin with everything except driver. I’m really excited about the potential of the LTDX LS 5.5.
  10. Loft is already as low as it gets at 8* with the ST-Z 230 and all-fit adapter. Tee height is tough for me because I have found a height that allows me to center contact way more often than before but I may experiment a little more to see if I can come up with something. Thanks for the tip!
  11. This could be considered a desperate attempt to keep the Autoflex with I love the feel of in the bag. After some minor swing changes to my iron swing(which have crept into my driver swing a little) I have been hitting my driver extremely high. No hard numbers but by visuals it’s at least twice as high as usual and has killed my distance and roll.
  12. Well if it doesn’t work out for me as a driver maybe it can beat out my Sik Putter. Haha
  13. Just picked up a cobra 5.5* LTDX LS head to play around with.
  14. Congrats guys. Such a good group and I’m extremely thrilled to join them to review these.
  15. Takomo 101T Official Review by GolfSpy_BNG First I have to thank MyGolfSpy and Takomo for this opportunity. Intro For those that don't know me, my name is Mark. Before becoming a moderator and the name change to GolfSy_BNG a few months back, I went by blackngold_blood. I am a 42-year-old golf addict living in north central Iowa. I play to an unofficial 3-4 handicap(which is down from about 5 last year). I would consider myself one of the more under-the-radar club ho's(thanks @Golfspy_CG2 for taking the heat). Luckily I am married to a wonderful, semi-understanding woman, who despite my addiction loves me anyways. I have 1 daughter who will be entering her senior year of college. My golf game/score greatly depends on my wedge game. I have never been a high GIR guy, so my wedge has always been my safety blanket. Unboxing There will always be something sweet about getting a 48x6x6 box in the mail. Takomo is second to none in my opinion with their shipping and presentation. They were upfront about lead times and shipping from china to Iowa was 4 days. That is right, 4 days from pick up in China to my door in Podunk Iowa. That is impressive. Inside the box, the 101T's were very well protected with a surprise towel and hat to boot. On the wrapper of the heads were labels showing 1* flat and the grips were uninstalled as requested. This shows to me that Takomo builds these to order. First Impressions 20/20 Right out of the box Takomo hit a homerun. Just the right amount of chrome to look premium with the mirror look reflecting the sun. This is a hollow body player's distance iron that unlike many others in this category is not filled with anything. This always worries me when it comes to feel. Aesthetics 10/10 The 101T is very similar to other Hollow Body PD irons. It has a smaller profile and a blade-like look in the bad. Below are a few comparison pictures of the 101T and P790. The look is similar except for the finish and the slightly smaller head of the 101T. I would suspect the 101T to compare almost identical size-wise to the 770. I mentioned in the mod slack channel that the 101T screams Mizuno 225 to me. I don't have any pictures of both together but from memory they are hard to differentiate. My worries about feel I mentioned earlier were unfounded. The 101T has a very pleasing sound and feel that makes you believe they are filled with the magic goo others are using. The Numbers 10/10 I am not gonna go much into the numbers as I never made it to a sim to get any. I can say that the 101T have consistent distances(not hotspot jumpers so far) and where your swing dictates for direction. On Course and Good, Bad, in between 27/40 I'm combining these 2 categories as I believe they are linked for me. This score is probably a little harsh so I will try to explain why. I have lowered my handicap(unofficially) this year and even shot my first-ever round under par with these in the bag. That said and the reason for combining the 2 sections is so I don't double dip and bore you with the following. The Good was the fact that the 6/7/8 irons were basically point-and-shoot for me. The Bad was the most concerning for me and the reason for the score. I could not hit the 9/P to save my life and as we all know those are scoring clubs. The in-between for me was the 4/5 irons. I struggled with these but I am someone who tends to be erratic with those normally. Play it or Trade it 10/20 Here in lies my dilemma with the 101T's. These are in the bag for the moment. I will however probably need to make some major adjustments. Probably looking at doing something like 4/5 101's, 6/7/8 101T's, and 9/P 301 MB's. I believe this would give me the help I need in the longer irons and the shot-making ability in the scoring irons. In summary, Takomo has a winner on their hands with not only the 101T's but with the price that is extremely hard to beat. Unlike other OEM's you can even buy heads only. A good thing should you not fit into their limited stock shaft offerings. Final Score 77 out of 100
  16. Well I’m still loving the autoflex shaft I’m gaming but today while doing some heating and cooling installation at my local guys spot, he mentions to me that autoflex is now available in black and yellow instead of pink. It isn’t any different than mine except color but well you know… Making this post now since I’m sure sometime soon it will be moved over to the “what have you bought thread”.
  17. Updated BNG standings. I managed to go -54 under for the RBC and didn’t even make a dent on the leaders lol
  18. I have not played them but have read some reviews on them. Gonna go ahead and tag @Popeye64 on this. Not sure if he is still active or not though
  19. Congrats guys and ball! This should be an interesting one.
  20. Congrats testers and great intros so far. With the amount of sizes and spectrum that Red Rooster has I’m betting everyone with find that perfect fit and perhaps a few surprise fits as well.
  21. Congrats testers! I played the original Elixr and rather enjoyed it.
