  1. I want MP-25s or some JPX 900 Forged/Tours soooo bad. I drool every time I see them, it's embarrassing.
  2. This is an easy list for me. After I was finally tall enough to use men's clubs, I only had 2 sets before my current: First irons I got after I outgrew my cut-down starters: Ladies' irons - I swear the brand was St. Andrew's but I can't find anything on Google. They had Carolina blue grips I'll never forget that. After finally growing: Original Callaway Big Bertha Irons Ping Eye 2 Nike Vapor Pro Combo (current) I only used the Bertha's for about 2 years until I found a set of used PE 2s. My uncle bought them for me cheap from a friend. I had always loved the look of the Pings at address, and my other uncle played them so naturally I wanted them as well since I looked up to his game.
  3. Here's what I was working on today
  4. I could give you a list of things I want, and you can buy me stuff off of it
  5. 84F 52% humidity So about on par with 300/365 days of the year for Hawaii. The other 65 days it rains
  6. Glad to help. Played my hybrid out of some pretty nasty rough yesterday and it was SOLID. Don't think I would have gotten a normal 4-iron to get as solid of a strike and play the same shot
  7. I LOVE it. 35" is a little too long for me so I'm going to return it and get the 34". Don't know if it's the putter itself or just the confidence it gives me knowing what goes into the Evnroll line, but my putting has gotten way better. Sent from my Pixel XL using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  8. I got the shanks, nooooooo! Shot a 90 after a terrible front 9 47. Driver was on point I think I missed 3 fairways at most, but shanked like 5 iron shots. Literally toe shanks LOL. Second round in 6 years, gonna be a grind to get back to the low 80s I think. Had fun though and played with my coworker for the first time outside of range practice. Bastard shot a 77 and was disappointed... Sent from my Pixel XL using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  9. Took the Epic and my XR16 3w for a test drive on the range today. Solid stuff, can't wait to play on Friday! The face on the XR16 feels so hot
  10. I've never been a great long iron hitter, since I was a kid. I guess it carried on into my adult game as well. I used to rock all the way up to a 7 wood when I was young. These hybrids are new to me since I was out of the game for so long. I hit it at a TM demo and I really liked it once I figured out you should play it like an iron and not a fairway wood. I went R-flex because I like the way I can get it in the air more vs. when I was hitting the stiff. Stiff shaft was producing lower more penetrating flights, but that's not my style so to speak. I don't like playing the roll out when I'm coming into a green, I like predictability and I get a little bit more out of this vs. a 5 wood, and even more so since I can get this one to fly higher with the R-flex. The sound is a *little* tinny, which was surprising considering the M2 driver and 3W sounded so nice when I demo'd them. I love the look of the M lineup. I'm one of those guys that would use something because it looks sick, and I would have a matching M2 driver if I didn't bomb the Epic at my fitting. I think the fitter I had at Callaway did a better job matching me than the TM guy did (TM didn't even have a trackman) so perhaps I could have had the M2 driver as well, but that's way off topic. Back to the looks of the M2, it's badass. End of story. There's my little mini review on the m2 hybrid I have
  11. I want a black/grey/neon green putter cover for my ER7 And one for my XR16 3W I wonder if those custom head cover folks could make the same one I have, but in different colors? That would be amazing. The two red covers I got are totally ruining the color scheme I accidentally put together
  12. I'm used to playing Ping Eye 2s which have a pretty thin top line. Anything that is too thick just throws me off at address. I love the feel of these when I pure them, especially the 8i and below. Contemplating going stiffer in shaft to like a 105 S300 to see what kind of ball flight I would get (mine is a little high) but these are doing well for me right now.
  13. The quality for me was insanely good. Looked like 1080 @ 60 fps
  14. edit: Scroll through the thread to see how my bag setup has progressed since joining the MGS forums. Finally finished going through my clubs and updating. As some of you might know, I stopped playing golf for about 6 years, and the last time I played regularly was probably 10 years ago. Fell back in love with the sport after my first round back 2 months ago, but playing the same sticks I've had since high school wasn't exciting, so over the last 2 months I've worked through all of them and replaced everything! Old setup: Callaway 454 Big Bertha Callaway Big Bertha 3W (the original ones) 4-PW Ping Eye 2 Callaway X-12 gap wedge Cleveland SW - don't remember the name Ping b60i - the original isopur one from the 90s Now on to the good stuff: http://i.imgur.com/I6u6Yq2.jpg http://i.imgur.com/U9IC0Gn.jpg http://i.imgur.com/NQvZ72y.jpg http://i.imgur.com/6DEK2pA.jpg Callaway GBB Epic 10.5 HZRDUS 6.0 Callaway XR16 3W Fujikura Speeder S-flex TaylorMade M2 22* Stock R-flex Nike Vapor Pro Combo 5-AW Callaway MD3 56-10 & 60-8 Evnroll ER-7
  15. I joined because I wanted a place to talk about golf amongst some fellow golfers. Seemed like a place where not conforming to what everyone else says doesn't get bashed, and I appreciate that. The fescue thread says it all in my opinion. Some side with Na, some with Rory, no one gets flamed for either. Healthy discussion makes me happy while I'm working.
  16. The Epic arrived, picking it up tomorrow!

  17. That sounds amazing, pretty jealous! The Epic irons are so insanely expensive. Sent from my Pixel XL using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  18. Iron mini game on the range with friends. Someone picks a flag, 2 people get 3 balls each to see who gets closest. Just for bragging rights.
  19. I agree. I don't remember all of this cool custom stuff growing up, only thing I remember were Ping irons because they obviously had the dot colors.
  20. Gonna try an XR16 3w. For $119 in 'like new' from Callawaypreowned I couldn't say no. Hoping it's one of those situations I've been reading about where it arrives and the clubhead is still plastic wrapped!
  21. I kinda horsed around after high school working in the service industry. Went back to college when I was 23 and for the last 5 years I have been doing IT consulting / tech work. I'm the service adviser and the mechanic so to speak.
