Good morning Spies, Working on my second cuppa this morning. Feeling much better today. I mowed the lawn yesterday afternoon and my only complaint is my wonky ankle which isn’t COVID related . Thankfully this bought of COVID was much milder than when I got it a year ago. Now back to golf related activities. I used some b-day money to order a new lob wedge. Went with an SM9 58/12. My bag will be complete. I will book some tee times for next week. i took advantage of Prime days and ordered some Vice Pro Soft golf balls to try based on the latest MGS Golf Ball Test. I hope to start my running again this week as well. Time to get after it! I’m embracing the mindset that “60 is the new 40”. Wishing all a wonderful day!

I was debating adding a lob wedge to my bag. But some birthday money rolled in, so I thought, " Why not?" I added an SM9 54/12 to my bag earlier this year. I just ordered an SM9 58/12 based on the recommendations from the Vokey wedge selector tool.

Good morning Spies, Enjoying a cuppa. Coffee this time as I’m feeling much better. My wife and I celebrated our 32nd anniversary yesterday. We’ve deemed that the 32nd anniversary is the COVID anniversary even though Hallmark says it’s supposed to be bronze. So those of you approaching that milestone, be prepared. Good morning Spies, (2nd attempt. I posted initially in the wrong thread. I blame my illness ) Up early for a cuppa tea. I tested positive for COVID yesterday. Didn’t sleep well with a nasty headache. Extra Strength Excedrin has kicked in thankfully. Called the golf course to cancel my tee time. It’s been a few weeks since I last played as I’ve tweaked my back again, had family visiting and now this. . It just means I’ll appreciate it more when I get back out there. Wishing all a wonderful day!

I generally take a “to each their own” approach to these things. Just don’t impede other’s enjoyment. Anecdotally though when it comes THC products vs. alcohol, my experience shows that the more abhorrent behavior stems from alcohol. I’m not a big fan of smoking but the edibles I’ve tried don’t seem to affect me that much. My wife on the other hand says she hears “darkness”.

Good morning Spies, Rainy hump day in Central NY. I’m a bit under the weather today. Will take a COVID test later. No coffee when I’m feeling blech. Tea is the cuppa for me today. I have a but of headache going not sure if it’s from being sick or a general lack of caffeine in my system as I do gray headaches from that as well. Wishing all a wonderful day!

Grumble, grumble something something Spies, Got a case of the Mondays on a Tuesday. Woke up at 4am to take my parents to the airport in rainy Rochester. Had my morning cuppa in the car. Got them there fine. On the thruway home I was a hungry. Stopped at a newly remodeled Rest Area. NY State is going crazy with the Rest Area remodeling. I thought a chicken biscuit from as my son calls it “The Lord’s Chicken”. But while they were supposed to be open, the “cheerful” (she wasn’t cheerful) informed me that they weren’t open and didn’t know when they would be open. Ok, plan B, Starbucks. I wait and wait. They appear short staffed. I ordered the bacon, Gouda & egg sandwich. Cheerful employee of the day number 2 informed me they were out of it. It’s 7am. Shuffle back to the car for the ride home. Fast forward 2 hours. SWMBO obeyed informed me she has tested positive for COVID. I tested negative so I got that going for me. But when we got COVID last year I tested positive 2 days later so I got that to look forward to. I guess I’m a late bloomer. But honestly given the state of the world things could be worse. I am most grateful for the time spent with my parents. Hope everyone had a better day!

Good morning Spies, Enjoyed watching the 49er game last night with my dad. He was a long time Niners season ticket holder. While I was expecting a Niner win, I didn’t see that coming. But I’ll take it! It’s nice having my parents visit. They have kindly shared their colds with me. Coffee going down to warm me up on this windy Autumn morning. Wishing all a wonderful day.

My parents are still visiting which is good but a days travel has given them colds which isn’t so good. Sun is is peaking through the clouds as I enjoy my first cup of the day. Many years ago in my home brewing days. I’m a former member of a home brew club in San Francisco called the San Andreas Malts. Anchor Brewing which has sadly closed, used to host the west coast Home Brewing Association’s annual competition. I used to help during the judging, delivering the entrants to the judges. I once made a raspberry porter. Something went amiss and when opened emitted essence of ripe sweat socks.

Good morning Spies, Rainy Saturday here in Central NY. One cuppa down. Had a perfectly charred drunken ribeye for dinner last night. It was a great evening spent with my parents. Unfortunately my dad picked up a cold. So it’s a lay low day today. Wishing all a wonderful day!

Good morning Spies, Feeling Beatles this morning, “Woke up, fell out of bed. Dragged a comb across my head. Found my way downstairs and drank a cup.” Walked the dog ahead of the forecasted rain. And second cup is going down. Enjoyed a lovely dinner with my parents last night. Truffle Cream linguine with scallops. Then we introduced them to one of our favorite spots on Lake Ontario. Golf will return to the regularly scheduled programming next week when our visitors depart. But feel so blessed to have them here. Wishing all a wonderful day!

Good morning Spies, Working on my morning coffee on this “Almost Friday”. I’ve been enjoying having my family in town. They arrived for some spectacular weather. SWMBO went shopping for a “Mother of the Groom” dress with my mom and sister yesterday. She returned most excited to have found the perfect. She was beaming which made my day. The simple things really. My back is healing up for which I’m grateful. Made a tee time next week for after the visitors return to California. Wishing all a wonderful day!

Good morning and happy Hump Day Spies, Up enjoying a much needed cuppa. Picked up my parents last night at the Rochester airport an hour and a half each way from my house. It offered the best travel times for them. They are both in their 80s. It’s great seeing them. My dad’s big request for the trip. We have to be home to see Niners vs Cowboys on Sunday night. He was a 49er season ticket holder during their glory years. Wishing all a wonderful day.

My son messaged me last week. $193 to fill his truck. Naan makes for a great pizza. (Olive oil, garlic, mozzarella, Italian sausage and broccoli)

Good morning spies, It’s Fall and and favorite of the season with my morning cuppa, an apple cider donut. It goes well with the heating pad against my lower back.
