  1. Happy Friday Spies, The overnight rain left high humidity today in Central New York. Riley decided on an abbreviated walk this morning. Hopefully the humidity will go down before this evenings golf league. Wishing all a great day and if you’re getting out on the course, have fun.
  2. Having flashbacks to the old Bud Light “Ladies Night” commercials.
  3. I got the aeration notice for my home course. Monday will be the front 9 and Tuesday will be the back 9. The season seems to be flying by this year.
  4. I couldn’t get out of the sand consistently. It would dig rather than glide through the sand. My previous wedge had 14* of bounce. I’d slightly open the wedge and would get out of the trap with ease and regularity. Edison takes a different view on bounce and it simply didn’t work for me. It’s a great looking wedge and from the fairway or rough it worked well enough. I really wanted it work out. Good luck with it.
  5. My sand wedge search is hopefully at an end. My experiment with Edison showed that it wasn’t right for me and was thankful that they offered a trial period with the option of a full return. So this morning I ordered a Vokey SM9. Can’t wait to get it in my bag.
  6. Good morning Spies, Up early to enjoy my morning coffee before my 8:30 tee time. Looking forward to seeing which part of my game has decided to not attend my morning round. I ordered a new sand wedge this morning. I went with a Vokey SM9 54.12D in brushed steel. It’s my first Vokey. Not wanting to step on the toes of @David Leighton Reid but going with some golf humor. For some reason this literally made me laugh out loud. Wishing all a great day.
  7. The oldest club in my bag besides my putter is my sand wedge. So I’ve been looking at wedges. I tried the Edison but could not consistently get out of the sand with it. Thankfully they offered a trial period and I was able to get a full refund. TaylorMade just released the Milled Grind 4. Its previous models are well reviewed. It goes on sale starting September 8th. So I thought I’d go online to pre-order a new wedge. Nothing fancy just a 54 degree wedge + 1/2 inch and 1 degree upright. It’s back ordered until December. That was even confirmed by their live chat representative. It seems that TaylorMade suffers from poor demand planning.
  8. Who doesn’t love a good snarky weather app?
  9. Good morning Spies, Up early to enjoy a cup or two before my 8:30 tee time. ️ It’s starting to feel like Fall here in Central New York. Checked in with my son after the “Hurriquake”. He and his fiancé live in Huntington Beach. They didn’t feel the earthquake and while he prepped his place with sandbags but they didn’t get the heaviest part of rain so they faired well, thankfully. It’s nice to wake up to a tester announcement. The Rapsodo MLM is cool product that is surely on many a golf wishlist. Wishing all a great day.
  10. Congratulations Testers! You have earned the envy of many a golfer. Can’t wait to see this one.
  11. I game a bit of a mixed bag. Ping, driver, PXG, 3 wood and hybrid, Ping Crossover, Callaway irons and sand wedge and an Evnroll putter.
  12. Good morning Spies, No golf this morning. Supporting my wife this weekend. She is competing in a 5k swim on Lake George. I’m playing swim dad cheering her on in a camp chair 2 cups down and a morning glory muffin in with fully charged Kindle. If you’ve ever witnessed open water swims there really isn’t much to see once they enter the water and until they finish. But this is proud duty for me as she supports my golf addiction. We celebrated our son last night as well. He completed his BS in Nursing yesterday. So much to be grateful for. Wishing all a great weekend.
  13. Good morning Spies, Yesterday morning’s round was interrupted by rain but I did manage to get 5 holes in. Not sure about today as well. Dog about to get walked then my morning cuppa . Wishing all a great day.
  14. Getting selected for a big test creates a buzz better than a strong cup of coffee. Congrats
  15. Congratulations, you timed your return most excellently.
  16. Congratulations testers! @bens197 @Ben Joest @GregB135 @ole gray This one looks to be great. Can’t wait to see this one unfold.
  17. Good morning Spies, Woke up to rain. I have a 9:30am tee time so I’m hoping for a break in the rain. One cup down and one to go. I tried something new for breakfast. Overnight oats. They were pretty good with a dollop of peanut butter and honey. Certainly easy enough to make. 1/2 a cup of quick oats, 1/2 a cup of almond milk and a a couple of teaspoons of chia seeds then place in the fridge overnight. Wishing all a great day.
  18. Congratulations Jamie, The forum has really exploded in the last year. The testing opportunities have simply been incredible. The engagement among the our fellow spies has been so great and it has sparked many friendships far and wide. I am truly grateful for this community. Treads like the Good Morning thread in particular are must visits for me and many as evidenced by the activity. The mods have been super helpful in keeping member testing moving and engaging. You all are greatly appreciated.
  19. Good morning Spies, Beautiful day here in Central NY. Cup one is going down. Will be taking the the old pupper for walk. No on course golf today but the practice mat and net will get brought out after I cut the lawn. The Billy Walters gambling stories on Phil that have come is pretty mind blowing. One billion dollars bet over a 10 year period. I will be reading that book. Wishing all a great day.
  20. My wife and I visited there in 2017. We enjoyed a drink in Mick Fleetwood’s bar and exploring downtown Lahaina. It’s sad to see that it’s all gone. Prayers for the lovely people of Lahaina.
  21. Good morning spies, Bowl of oatmeal down. 2nd cup being finished off. Dog walked. Dermatology visit on tap this morning. Rain this afternoon and my home course is hosting a tournament today. The run today will be on the treadmill later today. I played 9 yesterday with middling results. Post round I noticed the driver shaft I had built had shifted in the adapter. It feels solid and I can’t twist it in my hands. I wonder if the Ping adapter I bought off of eBay is of poor quality. I may have to bite the bullet and order one from Golfworks and pay $8.95 for shipping. I don’t have a shaft puller so I need to get that down locally. Wishing all a great day.
  22. Good morning Spies, The sun is shining brightly. My basement is now clear of water. I cup down and I have an 8:30 tee time. Things are looking up. Oh, and if anyone is interested I bought a Mullybox after seeing the article on the MGS website and did a member review. Wishing all a wonderful day!
  23. Thanks so much. I was able to get everything cleaned up by 4:30 this afternoon. I had to take a break to give the wet/dry vac a break. In the scheme of things it really wasn’t too bad. Had throw out a couple of old area rugs. And the the basement floor has never looked so clean. I have a dehumidifier running down there now. I hit up Lowes for a pump to assist the sump pump should the need arise in the future. The local news just called this a 1 in a 1000 year event. All in all it was not too bad.
