  1. If I was chosen I was going to look at the distance factor. These irons are advertised like every other club added distance. The loft is lower than my current irons so are they truly longer and more forgiving on bad shots. 2nd how does the black wear over use?
  2. I tend to find myself with 2/3 aspects of the game going. Example my short game and putting is going great but getting off the tee is a struggle. Next time will be off the tee and short game and putting struggles. I find when I am playing more often and consistently 2-3 times per week everything is a little more in sync. Beginning of the year is a real struggle. I find what helps me when I am getting into shorts/long game issues is slowing down and finding that even tempo swing. Also go to your automatic club. For me it is my 2H off the tee instead of driver and when short game isn't going well it is my 8 Iron. I know no matter what is going on for some reason those 2 clubs in my hand brings me back down and back into consistency. If they aren't for some reason that day I get a beer
  3. Figured I would add a little fun into this forum with all the nasty stuff going around. Mine would have to be Jack Nicklaus, Phil Mickelson and of course big JD (John Daly). Who wouldn't have fun in that group?! If you cant have fun with the guy below I am sorry you're screwed! Might not be a good round for me but damned if I didn't have a blast.
  4. Agreed not changing anything is not ok. Pretty frustrating with what’s going on with shopping and all that because my family and I go on Sundays and it’s dead if you just did your normal shopping we would be a lot better off with added distancing. Either way I think golfing is an ok activity that can get you out of the house. Our courses up here are opening up and you bet your ass I’m hitting the range and trying to get some swings in.
  5. Good article if you’re interested https://www.golfdigest.com/story/can-you-play-golf-amid-coronavirus-concerns-with-proper-precautions-yes
  6. Honestly right now it’s pretty good to catch up on stuff. I still have to work unfortunately in facilities (can do some from hime but taking the opportunity to get some major projects completed) but with tv since going out isn’t the best plan: ozark, me robot, and of course for comedy new girl I could watch over and over
  7. I also use the short tees (plastic) and they are pretty much on the ground
  8. I agree with you and @B.Boston Tee height alwayyyyys screwed with me. Have my standard tee outside that I use and I know where to set it every time. Get into the sim and the whole feel is different (funny how something so small could screw with you). I too have adjusted to the sim tees but with only the 3 standard tees typically the sims have it’s tough.
  9. I’m a dog person and would have no issue at all as long as the dog is a good pup. Especially if it’s a service dog. And if someone were to be a prick let them play on don’t need that BS
  10. If it’s free it’s for me @dalejbrass
  11. Congrats on finishing up that long career! What’s your rate? how many rounds are on the P790s
  12. Really trying to get up to Canada and play a few. Really kicking myself I wasn’t golfing really when I was in the navy missed a lot of opportunities to play in places I’ll never be able to again SMFH
  13. That’s interesting I like the thought process on travel clubs. What’s your favorite course you’ve played in your travels?
  14. Not sure if anyone is interested. Putting together an excel sheet on my putting with the perfect putt and true birdie mat. Will have day to day info on made/perfect putts on 1-8’ and see if it trends into more perfect putts day to day. Tracking it now if y’all want to see it let me know I can post it (hopefully it Gets better?)
  15. Its funny I really did not expect so much variation in grip information. Typically Lamkin and GolfPride are your sticklers (similar to golf balls I suppose you stick with what you know) appreciate everyone's take on this subject.
  16. @azstu324 Thank you for the info good stuff here. So far I like the feel of the MCC but again weather up here is not the summer play yet so I wont know until I really get into the season. Keep me posted on the Lamkin grip on the new shaft (and good luck testing I look forward to your review and congrats on your selection). Just checked out the star website. Sidewinder grip looks up my ally will have to keep this company in mind moving forward.
  17. Cost efficiency is the Name of the game. The super stroke ones j got 2 years ago were great half the price and not half the quality
  18. Getting a lot of good feed back on the MCC so far and I regrip myself so cuts cost down. Interested to se how the wear. I got through 1 season on my last grips (deal on super stroke grips they were I think 4 dollars a grip??) worked out.
  19. The thing I like about this is that just because its not "perfect" does not mean its a miss. The if it funnels anywhere into that slope or the white part and stays in there its a "made putt". The perfect putt is really just fine tuning and trying to really get perfect putts consistently. I have definitely found that I am by no means hitting perfect putts consistently but my "made putts" from 5+ is much higher. Granted putting on the same surface over and over helps, the key for me so far has been my pace, smooth transition and square face from repetition and knowing the speed. Also it has boosted my confidence where I am tending to miss on the pro side and not coming up short. hopefully it translates to the course!
  20. Those are the grips I just got on my new wedges and will be doing the same with my new irons. Did some test swings today bare handed and they felt great (typically use a glove but didnt today). Time will tell but glad to hear they are great under wet conditions!
  21. Great setup!. How do you like the CBX2s? I just got mine in a few weeks ago but have yet to use them due to New England weather being....New England weather.... What is your current gap between your wood and hybrid distance wise? I opted for 2H and 4H, the 2H gives me great distance like a 5W with a little more reliability.
  22. https://youtu.be/d7mI_1964J0 For anyone interested in the roll of the mat.
