  1. Driver is a little different than wedges and irons where you can lose the grooves over time. Definitely pay attention to sound like @cnosil said. “Thunk” I guess is the best way to describe that sound. Not typical for it to just happen though and to lose what sounds like 80+ yards all of a sudden is odd.
  2. Yea I’m curious with all this how it will pan out....obviously titleist wants a full fit to get a good review
  3. Yea that’s pretty typical with these “hybrid” types. Necessary evil I guess. Thanks for the info.
  4. Thanks @palvord is that the 2019 bag? How was the separation of clubs overall? When pulling clubs did multiple come out or was it segregated well?
  5. Hey all. So pretty much revamping my entire bag this year. It is time for a switch up (everything in the bag was about 7 years old and have seen ALOT of rounds). Current bag is 14 way and definitely looking to downsize to a 5 way. Narrowed down to Titelist Hybrid 5 way and Taylormade flextech. I have gone through some reviews online. Definitly overall positive, I am leaning towards the TM based on the overall layout and storage areas seem better. I have a large variation of equipment brands and want to atleast have my bag the same brand as a set of my clubs. Does anyone have any recommendations, pros/cons on these from experience or read that I am not seeing? Thank you in advance (I would rather go see these but I want my new setup ready for when courses open)...I am impatient as well)
  6. Of the testers what shafts do you think you will be going with? Not sure on the process if you get fitted or just choose.
  7. I believe @B.Boston Has this one? I had that up as well as a few others, so many options.
  8. My son is the same age (same started swinging a club as soon as he could stand up lol). I am not the best instructor but he loves the game. We got on a par 3 course last for for the first tome he loved it. good luck look forward to watching how Kirke’s skills continue to improve!
  9. This is great keep it going! My son is always asking to swing. He putts on my mat every....single......night. Not complaining it awesome. has he had a chance to do any camps? Not sure age but just signed my son up for the Nike camp that is local this summer for 5 days should be good for him can’t wait to see how he does. if you have had him in camp what did you think?
  10. What kind of paint did you use? Have read multiple things between acrylic and epoxy types. Seems like a while club epoxy but I would probabky hydro dip. I am going to end up just doing lockers so acrylic could work but I wash my clubs a few times a year with tooth brush/hot soapy water so epoxy type will probably be better
  11. Good info thank you. I read another forum in here cure time without baking is 20 days? Is it different for different acrylic paints?
  12. I had never really payed attention to the difference before the past 2 years. I definitely notice a difference around the green if I am not using a Tour type ball (I play either a Bridgestone B330S or ProV1/X) any of these work for me. Can also feel a major difference on Mis-hits just the overall feel. i am by no means a golf ball snob and only hit titleist but I do try to only play tour balls not only for my swing speed but because the overall play is noticeable.
  13. Yes I am thinking of this as well. TM 790s should be in by Friday.....they light have some designs done before they even see grass
  14. This picture should be in a magazine “golf escort”. I also wouldn’t mind the roaring 20s to make a comeback. Nightlife, drinking and sweet cars?! Sign me up
  15. Buddy of mine has played in Alaska said it was an absolute blast.
  16. I have not done this but great idea. I wish I took more advantage in the military (IE Hawaii, Thailand, Singapore, Australia and other OCONUS courses I wish I played). In the states though off the top of my head I have played in 10 of the 50: Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, Florida, California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut and Illinois. Ideally will be adding a few over the next year or so! I might have to start a map with pinned spots.....
  17. Who knew the foam balls could be the new boomerang?
  18. I’ve seen more lefties in WITB than on the course! Nice setup how do you like the F9? I looked at them last year when I was in the market ended up with the TS2
  19. Looks great nice setup. What did you use for paint? Nice work like the coloring
  20. Unfortunately I need to roll up my putting mat every night but is what it is. Then I actually have a driving range in my back yard pretty much. About 250 yards do mostly iron play but gets the job done! Kids got better form than I do!
  21. Good post this is how I am as well. Chat away during swing doesn’t matter. Friendly chatter (ball busting with regular people. I know I can coke and joke with)
  22. I am a chatter. Not about play I let the shots and score do that. But just chatter in general. Depending on who it’s with I will talk smack occasionally. Usually general conversation and with me folks I definitely chat with them as well. funny because I am overall very reserved not a huge talker outside of golf (the wife hates it lol)
  23. Big fan is highfields and wachusett both great courses and for the money you can’t beat it. Blackstone National is very nice very tough but to expensive for what it is (I personally think highfields is more picturesque for almost half the price weekend rate). Have not played lakeside though.
  24. Happy birthday gents, hope you get to enjoy a beverage and another with friends/family when this quarantine is over.
